This is from the same Ibime too.

"The common man is lucky that Tinubu or Pete[/b]r Obi did not replace Jonathan in 2015 otherwise they would have made you take the pain fully in 2015 since Jonathan did not leave any savings to cushion the pain like OBJ had left for him. Buhari is a socialist and kept up the standard of living with expensive subsidies and monetary policy within the means available to him. For what concerns the common man (inflation), Buhari actually protected them".

God bless Mai Gaskiya, God bless the honest man from Daura. May Buhari continue to live in good health. Amen.

Kudos to you.

However, your national party chairman left me unpaid for a contract done since 8 years ago, in Kano. Now, the new Governor of a different party, is unwilling to pay.

No politician will make heaven, I don't know if you are one.

.......nah! I ain't an APC Member bruh. You can call me Batist, Agbadorian and so on but not APC Member. LOL!

Remember DonJ was once a Buharist, but never an APC Member. Some folks here are Obidients but never LP Members.

You criticised Buhari in 2018 due to the hardship then went on to support him for the 2019 election and throughout his 2019 - 2023 tenure..
.
I should know this since we had a similar point pop up last year and I dug up posts of yours to corroborate my stance. Heck! You were defending Buhari right up to the cash crunch period then switched when you thought it was to work against BAT. Right on this thread.

Ibime:
As concerns our current hardship, Tinubu go inevitably suffer the anger of the people. I'm 100% certain he knew what he was walking into and the sapa that will be unleashed and I believe he is ready to take the flack. I don't share the same anger as people directly impacted by the current inflation, I'm sure I would in their situation. But I think Tinubu and Cardoso are taking steps I would expect, albeit too late for Nigeria and akin to putting a plaster over a gaping wound.

Examples are clearing FX backlog, auditing FX liabilities and rejecting fraudulent submissions, CBN oversight over NNPC remittances, and increasing our bpd production with the return of security contracts to Tompolo. Nigeria has lost 30-40% of it's production in the last decade, and more importantly so, lost a good portion of its onshore production which produces more favourable income sharing than offshore where the oil companies take more % due to the complexity and cost of deep sea drilling. I would also now expect a restructuring of all of Nigerias loans to more favourable long term loans. None of these would balance the Naira sufficiently but at least someone is doing something unlike Buhari and Emefiele who buried their head in the sand and passed the problem on.

I reckon Naira will only achieve long term stability with a return to $60bln to $80bln in FX reserves. This will also require immediate stoppage of all capital projects till we balance our books, retrenchment of some civil servants, as well as a return to excess of 2m bpd production.

I am not surprised or angry because everything we are seeing is as expected after seeing the state our reserves were in. Some things are simply inevitable. The only question is whether the social fabric of Nigeria will survive the coming sapa. Hopefully some of us were able to protect ourselves.
........facts only.

That is still only about $2m (on exchange rate then)

That's quite small for a Presidential campaign and good value for the result it achieved. It won't be up to 25% of what Tinubu and Atiku used to buy delegates alone.

Governor sef fit spend 10 times that amount on a Governorship campaign
