izzou: ![]() ......Ooops! I forget na papers dem dey use subsidize fuel o jàre. Renewed Hope carry go. |
Ibime: BREAKING: President Tinubu has given his approval for the prompt release of 102,000 metric tonnes of rice and maize from the National Food Reserves in order to enhance the availability of food in the country.I guess na error. |
izzou:.....which dollars dem take dey pay for subsidy before?! You are proposing reversal of fuel subsidy removal, I guess na Obafemi Awolowo dem go use pay for am bá?! |
Itsrm:.....I know its hard to believe Government, but lets hope this one ain't audio. |
izzou: ![]() .....no wahala bro, I won't mind them. May Nigerians keep doing well ó jàre. |
Segedinho: ![]() .....its well bruh. |
izzou:.....if we import directly from Thailand, it won't be up to that bro. A 50kg of Rice is less down ₦30k in Benin Republic. I remember when Baba Oyoyo first banned Rice Importation, Thailand reached out to us for a deal but Baba ignored. We can reach back to them for reasonable deal now. Import directly, Government to Government, from Thailand. |
Segedinho: ![]() ......I seriously hope I ain't served zobo. Let me remain optimistic till end of one year in office. |
Ballzproblem2:....we gonna remind him bruh. Àti fọkàn balẹ but otogẹ. ![]() |
Segedinho:.....I really hate saying it but Naija is doomed and gonna require tough sacrifices to fix it. If indeed we want to fix this country, dead bodies go plenty and we ain't ready for it. No need to rush, if our generation no fit reform am finish next and next generations go continue. News I dey read online eh, except you ain't human, one must call on Government to do something on foods inflation asap. |
PBAT actually promised setting up Commodity Board with responsibility of regulating and fixing foods prices. Its time to walk the talk. |
izzou:....subsidized rate bro. I already made it clear. |
Segedinho:.....that's why I suggest ICPC, EFCC and DSS to be part of the team. I believe it will work to some extent. Add Military to maintain discipline and security. |
Segedinho:......honestly this is really sad. Whatever Reforms they are doing should be suspended for now for the sake of masses. Foodstuff must be subsidized, this is a matter of give and take. You don remove fuel subsidy, then replace it with food subsidy. Let Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Trade handle it. |
Segedinho:....I don't buy idea of distributing, rather make it available across the country at fixed rate. For example, a Bag of Rice should be sold for ₦20,000 and no one should be allowed to buy more than a bag at a time. Get Representatives to handle the sales across all LGs, but make sure EFCC, ICPC and DSS are part of the team as well. LG Secretariats can temporarily be made selling points. |
Segedinho: ![]() .....I won't say I believe but I hope its genuine and fully executived for the sake of commen men. |
Segedinho:BREAKING: President Tinubu has given his approval for the prompt release of 102,000 metric tonnes of rice and maize from the National Food Reserves in order to enhance the availability of food in the country. The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, shared this information with journalists at the State House following a gathering of the Special Presidential Committee on Emergency Food Intervention on Thursday. Idris also mentioned that the government has suggested importing any deficiencies that may arise after the distribution of the food items. The Minister has indicated that the government will take suitable actions against individuals stockpiling food. It was emphasized that during emergencies, it is necessary to implement immediate actions to guarantee the availability to Nigerians. |
.....Hopefully this intervention gonna help. I no fit lie, PBAT must do something asap. Its getting to a year in office yet the hardship is biting harder on the people.
|
izzou:....two Nigerians so far actually. A Politician and a Businessman [spare parts dealer] in Abidjan. |

All is set for the African Development Bank to commence the disbursement of $540 million to the first phase of states in Nigeria for the development of Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZs). As part of moves by the Nigerian government and the bank to ensure food security in the country, three states are to benefit from phase one of the development of processing zones, including Oyo, Kaduna and Cross River, while others are to get theirs as soon as they are through with documentation. |
