I went to MTN office yesterday and did welcome back for my SIM, I had earlier discovered from my bank, that the thief had used my SIM to purchase airtime of 20k 8 times from my bank which he now used to transfer the airtime to another number.

At the MTN office, they discovered the 2 phone numbers that received the transfer of the airtime.

I now used Truecaller to identify one of the numbers as officer sade. I'm now thinking whether to use my hand and bait the thieves or give it to the police men I'm already working with.

Any ideas?
What is the best course of action to take with the 2 phone numbers I have discovered?

Is not as if they have a tracker themselves, they just blacklist your IMEI number and then send a signal to all the network providers to watch out for any call or data transfer from that phone.

The stress and money you will spend is not even worth it.

Anyways the police are telling me it's sort of a good thing that they transferred money,that that leaves a trail, so I'm following that angle assiduously.
I wanted to know If there were tech guys here that could help in anyway with tracking it.

Yes, I had the find my device app installed but my location is always off. so it showed me my house as the place the phone was last seen.

As for the IMEI, can the phone be tracked with it even if the thief switched it off?
