Few weeks back Federal govt stated that out of the 1.7M candidates that will sit for jamb only 520,000 of them will gain admission. For those that scored between 180 and 199 don't give up, there is still hope for you. We are all aware that Federal Universities don't accept anything below 200,so the best decision you can take now is to buy jamb change of course and institution form. Your complains about your results won't solve anything,so start planning ahead. You can choose from any of these suggestions: 1) Change from federal university to state university e.g Uniben to Delsu 2) You can also go to polytechnics 3) if you have the money go to a private university or school abroad 4) there are lots of vocational centers around you,try to learn one handcrafts. Don't waste the next one year at home. Forget the past and move ahead. NB: change of course and institution form will close on the 17th May. >Godstime570 on 2go. I rep Uniben |

donpedro20: hey whats the latest in uniben.The latest news in Uniben is that the 1st semester exam is going on. Some students are through with their exams most people are still writing. At least by 8th & 9th of April,everybody would have been through with their exams. Resumption date is April 20th. |

Moses247: PLS Can i go for philsophy Wit dis Neco result?....will de clear me if i gain Admission?They do accept pass (D7,E8) in Mathematics for courses like law,English language and literature. But i am not so sure about philosophy. I suggest u write anoda O'level exam to be on safer side. |

You people should stop asking about cut-off marks and admission procedures for now. Try to get 240 and above in jamb and at least 60 in post-ume. I promise u people wil be admitted,even if u don't get ur desired course, a lower course wil be given to you. More than 70% of people than do score 60 aggregate and above are usually admitted note that it is not everybody that score 60 aggregate and above that will be given their desired course. Ur pume shud also nt be less dan 70. Assuming u score 240 divide by 8= 30,then 70 in pume divide by 2=35,total=65 aggregate. U wil surely get law, wit a score lyk dis no devil can stop u. However,it's d performance of people in pume dat wil determine d cut-off mark. This is nt mere assumption,i am studying law in Uniben so i knw wat it takes to get law. damosky12: brothers, going 4 philosophy in unilag, with eng-b3, math-c4, crk-b3, econs-c4, govt-c4, literature-d7, yoruba-c4. Am I good to go? Wat subjects should I register in Jamb?. You might score high in jamb, pass unilag post ume and even get admission in Unilag but during clearance/screening you will be sent back home due to a flaw in ur o'level result. But Since u have maths,eng,govt and econs u can still study econs,banking & finance,accounting,biz. Admin,etc. Your combination is okay 4 dis courses. But don't go 4 any art courses,u won't be cleared during clearance. Literature is important for art courses. |

maywes: Pls is it true dat i can't choose 2 federal university as FIRST CHOICE N SECOND CHOICEUniben was my 1st and 2nd choice in jamb in 2012,there is nothing wrong if u choose 1 school. One of my classmate chose Uniben as 1st choice and Unilorin as 2nd choice and she was admitted in both schools. There is no harm in it. But i won't advise u to choose any federal school as 2nd choice because most FED. Sch don't accept 2nd choice,it's just few of them like Unilorin and one or two other fed school that accept 2nd choice. But you can choose state schools as 2nd choice. |

I am an 100L law student in the University of Benin. I thank God for my admission because it was not just studying allow that got me admission; prayer and faith were all involved. If you rely on your wisdom you might not be admitted but if u are lucky to be admitted your course might be changed to a lesser course e.g law to foreign language or linguistics,etc. There are many ways to get admission,the choice to take depends on you. Moreover,don't make the mistake of filling your jamb form wrongly,the choice of university and course matters. I advise you all to get necessary information before filling your jamb form. I got a lot of information from undergraduates of different universities especially from Uniben students during my jamb and post ume. Due to the assistant i was rendered,i have decided to reciprocate such assistant to you people on this thread. Nairaland helped me a lot during my time. Last year,sch fees was not a pre-requisite for hostel application. If school fees is one of it this year,it means people dat wil apply for it wil be less than 20% bcus most freshers can't afford d sch fees this month. Anyway,let wait til next wik and see wat they wil say again,they might retract their initial decision. By the grace of GOD the list of those that will be eligible to apply for sch. hostel will be pasted this week. |

I spent less than 45 minutes at unity bank today. Collecting teller and paying of d N2000 was not stressful for me. Whereas some people spent more than 5 hours at d bank. Lolz....I have my own ways of doing things. As a Lagos boy, no dulling 4 my side. |
