Not true. Law students don't have a special hostel. The only comfortable hostel within the school is keystone hostel. It goes for N70,000 a session. You can live off campus if you want to be 'comfortable'.

What are your chances of admission? Hmmm...only God knows. An estimate of 15000 students wrote this year post-ume compare to 46000 last year which about 7000 students were admitted. This means that close to half of this year candidates will be admitted. To be admitted is one thing to get ur desired course is another thing. If you don't meet up with the cut-off mark of ur desired course there is a possibility u will be given a less competitive one. Below are the lists of courses u might get:-
1) MEDICINE- soil science,fishery,forestry and wildlife,etc
2) LAW- linguistic,foreign language,philosophy and religion,etc
3)ENGINEERING- mathematics,physics, etc
4) PHARMACY- chemistry,animal science,etc
5)ACCOUNTING/ BUSINESS ADMIN/BANKING AND FINANCE- Business education,etc I'm not posting this info to get u scared but to keep u abreast of what might transpire in a month(s) time. ASUU commences nationwide strike today.
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has commenced indefinite strike nationwide today, national president of ASUU, Dr Nasir Isa Fagge has said.
He made this declaration, Monday, at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) after their NEC meeting held at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State.
Speaking to news men, he said: “We are embarking on indefinite strike nation wide because the Federal Government reneged in the Memorandum of Understanding MoU signed with ASUU in 2009 to pay lecturers their earn allowance.”
According to Fagge, the Federal Government, in 2009 made a law to pay each lecturers N12,500 per month as earn allowance which it never did since 2009.

Jambites on this thread should plz try as much as possible to respect every comments here. Also,Any person passing out information should make sure his/her info is reliable. Lastly,the date for uniben postume has nt been set yet,we should try to exercise patience. Federal schools like Unilag,OAU,ABU,UI,UNIPORT, etc has nt fixed date yet. Aside private schools,it is only LASPOTECH and KWASU that has fixed date for now. You guys should try to study more rather than focusing on the postume date for now. There is time for everything. For those of you going for law,plz read as if there is no 2moro. Law is one of the most competitive,noble and coveted course in Uniben. A lot of students failed Jamb does not mean the cut off mark will be reduced. In last year postume,we were more than 3000 that applied for law and less than 220 students were admitted in the faculty of law. Some of us were admitted on merit while some used other means. U scored 208 or 250 in jamb does not matter much when it comes to admission. Just keep reading...NO TIME. 2go>Godstime570

Goddys: Uniuyo,Uniben,Ansu is closed down,and besides polytechnics are on strike.Most universities will start exam starting from 1st week of July.This is the best period for this industrial action to hold.There will also be outpour of criticism on the government,if this strike is carried out this period.Now is our opportunity ASUU.

phew! After all ma sleepless nights digging into ma books, all i could get from jamb is a paltry score of 201...O! Jamb why?... Pls can somebody advice if this can compete for admission into a LAW programme in uniben considering the circumstances bedevilling this year's jamb result.

My learned colleague in the making ur jamb score is so low. 201 divide by 8=25. Uniben postume is usually 80 questions. 80 divide by 2=40. Therefore 25+40=65% aggregate. U nid to score above 70 in ur post ume in order for u to have a chance to study law. Gudluck
