Since your eligibility review has been updated on your portal, I think you should continue with the mail and webform to get their attention back to your application and take a decision on it as soon as possible.

To the bolded, When we started on this thread in 2016/2017 Myself, frank and Mcovex, Qudnom, Ralfudoh and some other Old gurus, we were joyfully giving advises for free without even thinking of turning it as an income.. Like I was Jokingly discussing with Frank some days back, that there was a time we didn't even think of making money from this, but because many applicants have really taken our voluntary work for granted in the past, we just had to switch so it wont look like we actually wasting our time doing good here.. Now Frank and Justmellow are fully in the business, and I am partially in the business cos I have my own Job (I am a Computer programmer)..

Personally I cant count the number of applicants I have helped getting their Visas for free in the past 3 years, and when they get to Canada, gbam, they cut communication with you, not all though.. I remember one moniker, I saw her status during the Winter 2020 and Jokingly repleid her status that she is really enjoying Canada slow oo, her reply was "Brb".. Since 2020 till now, she isnt back yet..

And this was someone I spent the whole night after coming back from work, working on her SOP and LOE.. I remember sleeping 3am that day cos she was to submit that same day, but she is now a big gurl in Canada, so we aint relevant to her again, at least she has gotten what sh e wanted.. If I had collected professional fee, I would not have felt so bad about it..

That is why I make it clear now, I will continue giving my professional advise on the thread here for free, but once you message my gmail account Makanoglobalservcies@gmail.com or you send me a DM, be ready to pay for my service cos I will actually create time for you out of my busy schedule cos of the nature of my Job..

Apply for a renewal while waiting for PPR. If you get it before PPR, you can update IRCC about it and use the renewed passport for visa stamping.

My question is this, passport is expiring November this year. Medical request has been gotten. So chances of approval is high. Is it necessary to renew the passport before it expires? Or use the passport like that.

LANDING GIST!

I just landed in Canada few hours ago via Ethopian airlines from Lagos Airport. I’ve immigrated via spousal sponsorship but I learned alot from this thread & I feel everyone can benefit from landing gist. I will be posting timeline information in the spousal sponsorship thread as it isn’t applicable here.

I registered on arrive can, switch health, and printed all documents before arriving Lagos airport.
The guy who pushed my trolley attempted to scam me 7500 for yellow card, amongst other scams, but I remembered narrations on nairaland so I didn’t fall for any. I didn’t spend any money during the journey, but you can give tips as the Spirit leads.

After showing my passport, I passed my bags through the machine just near the Lagos airport door. I then went straight to Ethiopian airlines check-in counter admist the crazy queue. Those check-in staff are not smiling, be prepared with your documents make them nor delay you.
My bags didn’t exceed the limit & I suggest you go at least 4-5 hours before the flight just incase.

After about 4 more security checks, I boarded & arrived addis ababa some hours later where I was able to use the free airport wifi to update loved ones. Ethiopian airlines was ok, nothing bad to say. It was a long flight & having to seat for so long in such confined space does a number on the body.

Arrived Toronto Pearson quite early in the morning & I think that plays a role in how relaxed the airport & staff were as I wasn’t subjected to much questioning. Having all documents on hand in paper really helps. Make sure you’re organized & calm, your documents may speak for you & questions were minimal to none in my case. Don’t be afraid to ask polite questions when looking for directions or clarity.

Since I registered with switch health, I was directed to a shorter queue for arrival covid test which was the last stop before finally exiting the airport. I didn’t pay for the test & I wasn’t told anything about quarantine. I am fully vaccinated & wore my mask & sanitized at all times cos I don’t want a positive covid test result. It didn’t really snow much at the time I arrived, however it is cold here.

I don't think so. I did mine at State CID, Alagbon, Ikoyi. That's where you can do it and it doesn't take time at all, you get it that same day.

Guys it’s a PPR request. My God has remembered me. Apparently it was approved yesterday but I didn’t get any notification.I’ve been a silent follower. Why order for it when you haven't received any response from IRCC yet? Besides your application is still at the early stage, it hasn't gotten to the point to even sending mails or webforms. You order for gcm notes when they have denied your application and you want to know their reason(s). So chill, let them respond to you first.
