Two sisters played out a mild family drama on Joro Olumofin's page when they aired their not so clean linen in public. The bone of contention is the elder sister's insistence that her younger sister, who is 22 wait until 2018 before getting married to her fiance because she (older sister) was not yet married at 30. This is what the elder sister said: FIRST PHOTO The younger sister shortly replied her elder sister with these words that left everybody speechless. SECOND PHOTO What do you think guys? Should the younger exercise patience, after all she is just 22, or is the elder sister being inconsiderate? Lets have your thoughts. http://www.lailasblog.com/2016/08/lady-of-ring-two-sisters-fight-over.html

Indonesia has executed three Nigerian drug convicts by firing squad, despite pressure from human rights groups and doubts pointing to death row prisoners being innocent. Three Nigerians - Humphrey Jefferson Ejike Eleweke, Seck Osmane and Michael Titus Igweh, pictured above, and Indonesian Freddy Budiman - were killed by firing squad at 12.45am. Authorities carried out four of the 14 planned executions of convicted drug offenders in the early hours of Friday morning in the middle of torrential downpours. Indonesia's Deputy Attorney General Noor Rachamd said Seck Osmane, Michael Titus Igweh, Humphrey Jefferson Ejike Eleweke and Freddie Budiman were killed. It is not clear why the execution of the other ten prisoners who had been expected to face the firing squad, did not proceed. "Of course there are considerations for it," was all Deputy Attorney General for Crimes, Noor Rachmad would say. http://www.lailasblog.com/2016/07/breaking-indonesia-executes-three.html

Patrick Sosu, aka SP, is a 40year old man who feeds himself and his family by selling roasted corn and dry coconut. This is a well patronised African business known to be for only women on the streets of Accra. According to Kobby Blay who spotted him and shared pics: Patrick's code of dressing has never been a day without a suit usually second hand from Kantamanto and a bead knitted tie with the colors of the Ghana flag. He tells me that this business of his actually started some five years after having had a dream that this was going to be the break through. He has even tried selling pure water, "Kofi brokeman" (roasted plantain) all on the streets same. So far all his three daughters are in school, "I have some other children too, and they are in school where I hail from, I have quite a large farm and will soon complete my house", he said while he pushed to side his leather hat and a slit of a smile. His worst day doing this job has been his arrest by the city authorities of where he does his business. Out of the blues yesterday, Psquare Peter Okoye surprised Nigerians and world people with an apology video and news that Psquare was back. That he accepts responsibility for all that happened, they have reconciled, they are back and their elder brother Jude Okoye was also back as their manager. This is the same person that embarrassed his family, refused to turn up for the Congo event they both promoted, I hear they were paid $170,000 for that event, and went on a public rant, threatening to sue elder brother Jude for promoting the event with his name. According to Peter: ‘All my legal arsenal will be deployed to ensure this fraudulent act is addressed’ On a very good day, this same statement Peter released yesterday, should have been also broadcasted on Paul and Jude's social media pages to concur their reconciliation. They actually did that back in March after their first epic 5 weeks of drama. If you remember, Peter and Paul Okoye had taken to their social media pages back then to share similar pictures with the same captions: “That it took our stupidity to realize that FAMILY comes first, We are VERY SORRY.” Jude Okoye, their elder brother and manager who was sacked at the beginning of the drama, was not left out as he shared the same picture with his twin brothers. You also remember that that reconciliation didn't last for long. The brothers were back in the drama ring hours later. Now fast forward to yesterday, how come Paul & Jude Okoye are still quiet about this new reconciliation, 24 hours later? Fed up, are they? http://www.lailasblog.com/2016/07/24-hours-later-paul-jude-okoye-yet-to.html

A controversial Ghanaian marriage Counselor, George Lutterodt has claimed that any lady of marriage age who has cut her hair should not be mistaken to be fashion, as it rather represents the lady’s frustration of waiting to get married after several years of remaining a spinster. Speaking on Kasapa FM’s Afisem programme on Saturday, Counselor Lutterodt argues that such a hair style by a lady of marriage age is an indication that the lady is suffering from a poverty mentality as she’s not able to go to a saloon to fix her hair. He is quoted as saying: “Why are you changing your image, a young lady who is just at the prime age of marriage there is somebody you should attract, all of a sudden you become a JHS girl then you blame the devil. You have your hair on and then suddenly you cut the hair off, look men are attracted by what they see and not your character. You cut your hair and you reduce to a level of a JHS girl and when young boys propose love to you, then you blame the devil for that. Ask yourself what image are you carrying.” Do you agree ??http://www.lailasblog.com/2016/07/unmarried-lady-who-cuts-her-hair-is.html

A Ghanaian celebrity Derrick Kobina Bonney, popularly known as DKB says it is permissible for men to cheat on their female partners. According to him, because men are responsible for buying the woman a wedding ring and also foot the bill for the wedding, it should not be seen as wrong if they cheat on their wives. DKB said on the Joy FM’s lifestyle and entertainment programme Rhythm A to Z Saturday: "[Men can cheat] because we bought the wedding ring and we organised the wedding and you bear our surname. Even the word bride means a cook. “When you find the man cheat[ing], you leave him to God because that was what our mother and grandmothers did.” http://www.lailasblog.com/2016/07/men-can-cheat-because-they-bought.html

It's amazing how much of an effect makeup can have. See how Nigerian makeup artistes transformed these young ladies into first, Toke Makinwa. And this second lady, into an Anna Banner lookalike. There's no magic these makeup artistes cannot perform. http://www.lailasblog.com/2016/07/wonderful-photos-of-nigerian-women.html
