After being labelled a 'witch' and abandoned by his own family, two-year-old boy, Hope from Akwa Ibom was rescued from the streets by Danish social worker Anja Ringgren Loven.

Look at him now, guys! Baby Hope was discharged from the hospital today. The two-year-old child was living in the streets by himself, emaciated and infested with worms, when Anja found him, named him 'HOPE' and took him into her care.

The story of 14-year-old Ese Oruru who was abducted by one Yinusa and taken to Kano, where he converted her to Islam and married her, and the travail of her parents over the past six months have caused an outrage on Nigeria social media and beyond.

Things were made worse when it was revealed that the Emir of Kano, along with these powerful Nigerians allegedly refused to help free Ese.

In a series of tweets though, the Emir of Kano has cleared his name, saying these are malicious lies. A twitter user drew former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili's attention to the story and she revealed all the efforts the Emir of Kano made towards making sure Ese was freed right from August 2015.

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, yesterday attended the Golden Jubilee grand reunion of FGC, Warri, his alma mater. Check him out happily dressed in his school uniform with students.

At the event, Ambode said all the knowledge and discipline impacted in him during his secondary school days in the college contributed largely to who he is today, just as he urged his old school mates to come together and ensure the vision of the school was kept alive.

The governor said:

“Indeed, my becoming a governor can be attributed to what I gained and learnt from this
school. We must come together, all of us to ensure that the vision of the establishment of the school must not die.
So it is a great honour to all of us to return here after decades and celebrate this 50th anniversary. We are benefiting from the vision planted years ago.
I want to assure the principal that we are going to bring back the good old days of this school. I wish all the students well and pray that you all be better and more successful than all of us here today.
I like to say a big welcome to seniors and juniors. One great thing about this school is that no matter what you become in life your senior remains your senior.”

Olajumoke Orisaguna has inked another deal with a confectionery as their face and brand ambassador.

The unveiling happened today in Abuja. Olajumoke is pictured above at the event and stands with Bola of FEW models, Amarachi and Adaora Shirley Iwuanyanwu, the owners of the confectionery - Shirley's confectionery below in this photo.

Two companies: StanbicIBTC and PayPorte have made Olajumoke their brand ambassador. The former even awarded her two daughters scholarships up to university level. Her face has appeared on the cover of magazines. She is now a student at Poise Finishing School, an intern with two beauty salons, and a motivational speaker, even though she can’t speak English.

Nollywood actress Princess Chineke has released a graphic image of a bite she claims another actress on set inflicted on her while on a movie set. The bite tore off the the skin on Princess' thighs and reportedly happened during an argument.

According to Princess, this was what happened:

I came in late to camp, the hotel rooms were full so I was asked to share room with her. Few nights she stayed in, she was always making mid night calls. So I asked her to go out of the room or make the calls in the toilet with the doors locked.The other night she made calls at 1am putting the caller on speaker.

Hearing a male voice from sleep, I woke up thinking a guy was in the room only to discover it was was her putting her caller on speaker. I complained to the management they said they will get another room for me but there was no room after yesterday's shoot. Told her she is disturbing, she insulted me so we exchanged words. I ended up sleeping on set the next day.

When I got back to the hotel, I had my bath, laid down on the bed she said she wanted my space. She called the pm (project manager) saying they should throw me out. I'm not supposed to be in the project and the hotel. I said the way she was brought in, I came in as well.
She insulted my family, I told her she has no right to decide who is in a job or not its not her fathers job! She bounced on my lap with her teeth. She hit me in their front before I could hit back, the men came in separated us. She said check your leg see what I did to you? I didn't feel the pain untill I went to pee I saw she ripped my washed pants in the bathroom. I pulled the pyjamas and saw a chunk of my flesh out. Showed it to every one who ran to the room.

The management took me to another hotel, then hospital to make sure I was properly treated. Presently shooting in Iyana paja. Name of program: Behind the smile. Happened 11:30pm yesterday. That's Friday. Her name is Chrystabel Goddy. Still in the hospital with stitches and my wound still bleeding.

An eyewitness sent this in:

Around 1am this morning, voices of people in Boluwaji area of Ibadan filled the air chanting "e ja de oo" (come out o), "e ma sun wora o"(don't sleep too deep o) because of a devil of a fire that was razing properties the area.‎

The source was a fuel tanker that fell few metres away from Adeojo central mosque and due to the topology of the area, the fuel flowed to few meters down the slope and the fire that flowed with it divulged the properties in its path.

Not sure if any life was lost to it but the amount of properties lost is saddening.

The fire service team did a good job controlling the expansion of the fire at the source but were not able to save much as the response time was slower than expected due to excuses that 'there was no water in the tanker' etc as I overheard spectators say.

I placed a call to 112 at exactly 1:11am and the first tanker arrived the scene at 1:50am.

‎I pray God replenishes the properties of the victims and I hope the the government would help with some relief items.

This is late Dede One Day's uncompleted building in Owerri, Imo state.

He could not complete it before the cold hands of death snatched him away from us.
In an ironic twist of fate, the building hosted his lying in state that took place two days
ago and the burial proper was yesterday.

Think of this, brethren, few months ago; Dede One Day was like us, alive and well.
He had hopes, he had dreams, he had plans of completing this building but fate had other plans for him.
We came to this world with nothing and we are going back with nothing, just naked as were born, that is how we will transit.
Be good to your fellow man, touch lives, be a blessing to others so that when you are gone from this side of the divide, the world will have a good memory of you.
May the soul of Dede One Day rest in peace, Amen.
