Akwa Ibom state's APC governorship candidate Umana Okon Umana had today visited Uyo to celebrate with his people the part victory his party got from the tribunal.

Check out the mammoth crowd that showed up to welcome him.

The Akwa Ibom State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal had on Wednesday cancelled the governorship elections in 18 local government areas and ordered INEC to conduct fresh elections in the affected areas, a decision the APC said it would appeal as they had expected an outright cancellation.

Pato and the baby's daddy

Patoranking set Nigeria social media on fire yesterday after he shared this adorable photo of a cute baby girl and asked his younger brother not to get jealous in his caption.

Everyone took it that the lil baby named Lily is Pato's baby, ignoring the Instagram handle @greenlightdistrict100 Pato also added in the photo caption. I did a quick check on the @greenlightdistrict account and found out he is the baby's daddy. He had even shared this same photo two days ago and called Patoranking his baby's uncle. See that after the cut. Sorry to burst your bubble, guys, Patoranking doesn't have a daughter or a son, at least not yet. Rapha is his youngest brother.

Boko Haram insurgents, who have pledged allegiance to the Islamic State, have reportedly claimed responsibility for the multiple suicide bomb blasts that happened in Abuja last weekend.18 people were killed and scores left wounded. The terrorist group released a statement on Twitter on Sunday along with three photos of suicide attackers involved in Friday’s deadly blasts.

The first two attacks happened in Kuje township, where a suicide bomber attacked a police station while another bomb was detonated at a nearby market. The third device exploded in Nyanya at a bus stop.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday visited victims of the blasts that rocked Kuje and Nyanya, Abuja, at the National Hospital.Buhari was accompanied by Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State and some top government officials.
