you need to edit this story, in order to make it more believable-
no man in his right mind will take all this crap after his divorce; especially not from an abusive woman.

good pace, diction and storyline, but the plot needs a lot of work-
too many leaps and unwarranted conclusions, by people who don't have enough info to go on.

I quite agree with you on the position of Richard being wimpy. How could a sane man and a professional, good looking man for that withstood all the thrash that Athena hurled at him and is still blaming him for the issues in their marriage. I as a guy can't stand it and would have gotten my own place early enough when they had the divorce. But the writer understands the character of Richard better and decided on making him appear a wimp who is only good at his job and sex.

My one cent and this is not to derail the thread.

The obvious is staring us right at the face. Oluchi wedded Paul and there was a spiritual connection which every spiritual being can always perceive. Janet and jasmine have already seen the spiritual signal from Paul and that's why they are always desirous of him. Paul's eyes will soon open

The update was incomplete and depleted of information. Do you expect to leave a lacuna so that we can fill the blanks with our imagination? There have been some inconsistencies in this story and this is another one of it.

Nice one Kay. You pulled me out from the ghost readers stand. I really relate with Sam because I was like him at a point in my life until an older lady advised me on what to do to snap out of it.
