Poems For Review › Moments And Memories, A Poem by obiZEAL(op): 6:00am On May 28, 2015 |
We are our memories Our memories are all that we are We are not the moments that make up the memories But we are the memories that the moment makes We rely on our memories to act in the moment Strip one of his memories and you have made a new person who will depend on other people's memories for self definition Biology says we are made up of blood, bone and flesh But from where I am standing, we are made of up of memories, memories and memories. A happy memory invariably makes a happy being...happy memories come from happy moments Stay in the moment if it is happy...keep the moment for the memory and don't dilute it it with selfies and flashlights, instead consolidate it with selflessness and glad hearts Moments and memories ;individually unique, together complete...keep the moment pristine and the memory will be crystal...stay in the moment. |

I have seen a people beaten and battered I have seen a people maimed and maltreated I have seen a people subdued and slandered And I have seen a people rise above misery and woe I have seen a people blossom amidst hardship untold I have seen a people wax stronger as time unfolds Still I have seen a people paint a lush future from the sweat of hard work and labour I have seen a people thrive in every land their feet touches I have seen a land of brave men and women of valour I have seen a people surmounting all the sentiment and slushes I have seen a land of resilient Heroes and Heroines who under extreme conditions just let out style and flavour. Mrbigman1: Nice idea but see eh, I don teach during my nysc, the thing hard pass diamond.
No teacher would wanna teach more than 20 students in each class.
Secondly, the university structure might not be that magnificent but what kinda knowledge is exchanging heads? How many labs and libs, how easy is it accessible to students and what's students zeal to learn? These are four questions university admin need to put in place to grow.
As for building of new universities, no uni will be built today and become world greatest, they start from scratch, groom dia own Doctors and professors then create a standard.
Look and Unizik, Futa and Fut mina, look how soon dey wia created and how fast they are competing, if people of your school of thought occupied that seat, we'd have just one university in every region.
We have a timing population which are more of youth and they almost crave for higher education, if you dnt build new ones, one dey, people will admit dia selves and u Wnt have a choice.
My 0.1 Kobo idea true sha...but I still stick to standardizing the existing ones first. A University is not a secondary school, so if properly managed, it will accommodate almost, if not every qualified student who applies. about the labs and libraries, they will all fall in place with the standardization approach.. And for those ones not will to learn, just two words; 'withdraw them' , no time... |

Mrbigman1: The only solution to this I more universities, because if 5000 students meet ur expected scores, u'd admit them. When more better universities strings up and better, all this would reduce gradually.
Everyone who schooled in Nija passed through this in Year one.
So no biggie unless say no be year one, den they would Need Jesus asap yea...they are year one students. But it is still appalling that any university student (year 1 or final year) could be allowed to study in this kind of condition. And about building more universities, is that not compounding the problem. I think a better approach will be to fortify the existing ones with more lecture rooms, labs, equipment, and lecturers...instead of building more (substandard) universities and continue producing unemployable graduates. |

This is another lecture hall, Room 185...the hall has a capacity of 500 students but over 1000 students are expected to be receiving lecture in this hall at a time which is impossible, except through rumour and speculation since there is no public address system. The student closest to the lecturer tell the student closest to him/her the information and he/she tells it to the next student, and the chain continues until the information gets to those standing by the doors and windows.

This is a lecture hall in University of Jos popularly know as A1. The lecture hall is so crowded that the Professor don't even have enough space to move he's feet. With out exaggerating , the air coming out of this hall is over 50 degree celcius . Rumour also has it that there are GP sucking demons in this hall.

nortcentrallord: thank you very much my dear. Where is that obizeal pretending not to be a muslim but defending islam. Hope you have read and understood. I wonder why a normal human being will advocate such Barbaric religion and keep singing praises to a condemned soul like Mohamed who is surely languishing in hell. God help you guys to open you ears to hear and give your hearts the required understanding. 1. Am not a muslim. 2. 'Barbaric' can also defined by drowning a certain people of sodom and gomorra (including infants and innocent animals) cos they chose to live and behave in a certain way. 3. Read 2 again. |

nortcentrallord: How many years after Christianity was islam birthed? Do you know how the early christians were persecuted? Who preaches the hate and violence today, christians or islam? Has the pope, any pastor or priest ever asked any Christian anywhere into this world to kill anyone because of christ? Are there christian terrorists in this world that we don't know? If every christian wakes up and takes the part of violence and terrorism against the muslims, how many of them will be left alive? Can you answer those questions please? You don't have to hide your religion. Be bold enough and accept who you are and defend it with facts. Take you time and ask questions your beloved islam. Why do you have to fight and kill your fellow humans for your God? Is your God handicapped? Or has he no powers to defend and fight himself? Ifeann only points out the scam and deception behind islam from your Koran and your hadith. How come they have never for once disproved her but all they do is insult and threaten her. Christianity is open to questions, why should questions never should be asked about islam? Why, why and why. Should everybody keep quite and pretend everything is alright while innocent humans are being killed everyday in the name of one useless made up god? If he is so powerful, why shouldn't he fight for himself? Atheists don't kill people who believe in God, Jews don't kill people who don't believe in judaism, traditionalists don't go on murdering spree in the name of their gods, christians don't kill people who don't believe in Christ neither does their teachings support it. Why is it only islam that perpetrates this evil. Why? Give me answers please and tell me why you support it. i'll read ur epistle later, lemme just make somethin clear to u now that am chanced. what I have been trying to point out is that this is a case of pot calling the kettle black. The both religions are Fuc.ked. And that Ifeann decided to attack only islam is an evidence of narrow mindedness and deep rooted hatred and that's no basis for any logical discussion with her. If she can defend the killing of 300 people simply cos the chose baal over other gods then we no even get talk again. |

nortcentrallord: You prefer the lie about islam be covered up forever? What happened to being truth full. Do you support the teachings that is gradually turning the world into a violent terrorist zone? So you support Issis, Bh, Alkaida and all the other Jihad movements? Have they ever denied any of the truth she points out? All I see them do is insult and threaten her and all those who points out the charade behind islam. If there was non of those teachings, there would be no Isis, bh and all the demented hollow blood thirsty souls. I don't see Christians, judaism even traditionalists become terrorist. i see...she has won herself alot of faithfuls...Congrats Ifeann! I don't subscribe to the whole religion ish...but if she will be fair to do to christianity what she is doing to islam, cos am sure the bible contains more gory tales than any other religious book on earth, just that she has decide to be one sided and that's my problem with her. It shows that the so called points she is raising against islam was as a result of hatred and not rational reasoning and that has rendered her points void of any truth. |
