Hilary,
All funds available for assistantships for the 2020-21 school year have been allocated. GA applications were due 1/15/2020. See attached. In addition, the Master of Education in Curriculum and Teaching would not provide what you would need for an initial teaching license. To find out what you would need for the license you desire contact <edhdadvising@bgsu.edu>.
Thanks, Larry
I submitted my application for a GA before the deadline, though I haven't heard from them. For the Teaching License, when we get there we will cross the bridge.

Most teaching licensure programs are MAT and it is not funded. Trust me I have been admitted for it several times. My advice is to take this offer if it is funded, then when you are in school you can discuss your interest in getting a license with your advisor. You most likely would just right the praxis exam plus other state certification exam. But if you can afford to pay tuition just apply directly for Masters of Art in Teaching ( it has different concentrations)
Thanks a lot for this.

Do you know that this course doesn't offer you a teaching license and yes its got 6 subcategories of which the most important being curriculum design and tech could be offered online at 5316$ for a period of 6months or less?

What I require is a teaching license of which I doubt if I would be willing to proceed with this admission.
Yes I know. I think schools doesn't give a teaching license to international students, there are certain documents and examinations required before a teaching license will be issued which an international might not have and most courses that issues TL after completion are online courses. However, if you know schools that issues TL to international students please do let me know.

Hello friend,

Is GtBank loan ok? Yes, I’ve taken from there before at even 1.72% back then.

Any hidden charges? No, it’s a flat rate. You get to even save some interest if you can liquidate it at some point.

Are Nigerian used cars entirely bad? Quite dicey. Not all Nigerian used cars are bad but you’d be needing the services of a good mechanic that way you can save roughly 300 to 400k.

Is Uber business that booming? I do not think so; low fares, bad roads, high tension when you don’t get paid by your partners and all.

Should I take risks? Absolutely yes, fortune favors the bold. Things could go south or north.

My advice?
1. Let him not take say above a 1m as loan so he doesn’t get weary while paying, loans can be tiring as you’d be counting down

2. Let him buy a car which is the big daddy in this case; if he sub let’s it and it turns bad, he takes his car back, fix it and use for his personal runnings.

All the best as you help guide him.

God bless you.
God bless for this. He is thinking of settling for 1m and his plans is not to pay the entire loan from Uber because he has other side businesses he does though the money doesn't come often but when it does it comes in big.

enh hen...now u r talking with more info. Anyways, don't mind me in former post ok, just like Peacefulhome advice invite him here to read and learn person no go fit learn for somebody.

Northbird abi watin b him name made some good advice, loans r meant for specific purpose and reasons.

The big daddy his friend wants to sell to him for 1.3m is it 03 model and accidental free? If so d price is a good deal, lucky him if the friend would sell to him 1m bros of friendship.
03 is within d price range 1.3-1.350m strong but very sluggish.
04/05= 1.5-1.550m very good car.
06=1.7m above.

If your fiance insist on going for the loan and his friend agrees to sell @1m to him let him collect a loan not more than 1.2m, the car can serve for both purposes which is his business/job and uber when ever he's free from work. Dont collect loan to buy a car and give to sb to drive its a very wrong business decision to take my sister. Bank go smile with you when they're giving d loan but when them won collect their money? Them no dey smile at all oooh...

I've said a lot let me give elders the chance to advise more.
Thanks a lot Bro for this. I will still advice against collecting the loan but if he insists he will have to go for one

My third eyes tells me, you are taking the loan for your fiancé.

As a financial person, I would advice against taking a loan for a start-up business especially e-hailing where you have no control over the variables.
But if you insist, buy just one vehicle.
Your third eye is deceiving you sir cool anyways thanks a lot for your advice. I am not collecting any loan for anybody. I am not even in support of him taking loan from the bank hence my coming here to seek advice from experienced and mature minds.

Sorry I may sound awkard but ita d best for advice from experience of life.

Who be dis friend, guy simply tell us its you nobody go kill u. If it's not you how then u have almost every details.

Also, you seems to be economical with some vital info how then do you expect one to give profile advicehuh Who is the desperate owner you referred to that wants his money??

Bros/guy/oga, you're collecting a bank loan to buy a 9ja used car?? Thats a stupid decision oh... Instead take 1.5m get a Honda civic dir too highest 1.3-1.4m. B4 you'd spent 100k the car don sharp well... You wont have any reason to worry about major repairs in 1yr. And if I r hard working like a warri boy like me u should be able to clr off both interest n loan principal.

Dont go for Toyota it will break ur pocket remember ita a loan. Go fo r a cheap car but make sure it's a tok.

Dont be too desperate about making money thereby buying a 9ja used car you dont know reasons y d owner is selling. 200k wont be enough to fix up two cars. I spent about 250k on my EOD on just AC alone...

You never drive balance and get experience you want to employ somebody? Guy you get longthroat o... Forget all these sweat talks drivers are here sharing oooh...pray never to meet a bad driver you'll regret your life. Buy one motor and drive it yourself and after paying the loan then you can thinking of expanding.

Lastly, getba lawyer to study the papers on d loan b4 you proceed.

Getting a loan is far better than HP.

Wish you the very best in making your decision!!
Thanks a lot for the advice. Please I am not the person involved from my profile you will see that I am a lady not a guy, why won't I own up if I am the person. The person involved is my fiance hence my having every details of the cars and loan. I am not withholding any info because their is nothing to hide about. For the cars, one is Nigerian used( Honda) while one is a US used -Tukombo ( big daddy) though the seller is still insisting on 1.3ml but my fiance said since the guy is his friend if he gives him 1ml he will take. He wants to use the Honda for his personal business( He is into real estate) and Uber/taxify

Good evening house, please I need you guys advice on something, would you advise someone to collect loan from the bank(Gtbank) with 1.33% interest money and put in uber business? A friend of mine is thinking of collecting loan of 2 million to buy 2 cars, a big daddy(1ml) and a Honda (#800,000, the owner is desperately in need of money). He has seen the cars already but just that he is a little bit sceptical about it if he can be able to repay the loan and interest within a year interval. He will drive one and give out one. What is your advice guys and has anyone here collected loan from the bank especially GTBank, what was the person's experience and are there hidden charges that the bank doesn't let the customers know?
.

My VISA was approved on June 6th, 2019 at Abuja Embassy.

BACKGROUND
I went for the student VISA interview with my baby and previously, I & my family had been denied tourist VISA.
I had used every resource i could lay my hands on to prepare and I came up with my model answers to the usual student VISA questions; I could feel my confidence rise as I prepared. I got an assiatantship that covers my personal cost, however, I had a dependent cost (my baby) hanging there and my husband's bank statement hadn't the needed money to cover the total dependent cost. Well, I prayed that every document that would warrant a denial not be asked and I began listening to motivational speeches to conquer every anxiety.

In addition to that, I arrived at the embassy and met over 100 people there already! Then, it bagan to rain. I tried to wrap my baby in the baby shawl and approached the security officers to allow me do my biometrics and interview. They did! I became one of the first 15 people to be interviewed. I was eventually interviewed by the same VO who had previously interviewed my family and I.

ON THE INTERVIEW DAY

ME: Good morning (with a smile)
VO: Good morning, pass me your Document
ME: Passed our passports, 1-20s and SEVIS payment confirmation
VO: Where do you work?
ME: I am an Bleep working with (I looked exactly into the eyes of the VO and said the acronym for were i work, I instantly realised there was a look of dissatifaction on his face so I immediatly went ahead and said the full name of the acronym. He kind of paused as I spoke and by the time i was done, i could see he was more interested in me).
VO: What degree are you going for?
ME: Bleep
VO: Why are you going with your son? (Honestly, at this point, I could feel the favour of God working. My baby is a girl NOT a boy, but I also have a son and I was looking for the right opportunity to pass the information to the VO so he would know I am leaving behind not just my husband but my son aswell. On the face of it, the VO thought my baby was a boy because of the way i wrapped her due to the rain).

ME: You mean my son (pointing behind me, as if my son was behind) or my daughter (pointing to my baby who i was carrying)?
VO: (Now realising I have a son) Who will take care of your son?
ME: I answered
VO: What are you gonna do to your baby while you studying?
ME: I answered (I had my corrrespondence with some daycares and i was ready to show him if he asked but he never asked)
VO: why are you going with just your baby and not with your son also.
ME: (I hugged my baby a little bit and told him how young and very dependent my baby still is).
VO: How old is your son?
ME: I answered
VO: How long have you been married?
ME: i answered
VO: Are you still married?
ME: (I smilled and then answered)
VO: how are gonna pay fo rthis?
ME: I have an assistantship and the rest will be taken care of by my husband
VO: What does your husband do?
ME: I answered (But not very fluently at this point. I was partly thinking what i was going to do if he says i should show my husband's statement. The money there wasn't even up to half of the dependent cost. I found a way to gain composure somewhere in between my lines).

VO: He kept typing and I was looking intently at him and saying to myself, ''you must grant me VISA''. It looked like forever but he kept typing. I smiled until my smile faded and i kept waiting for him to stop typing. Time stood still!
VO: (Finally what I was waiting for) I have approved your VISAs.
(He brought out the two white papers and began to run down all the pickup and port of entry lecture, I pretended i was listening but my ears were merely physically present).

ME: Thank you.

No single document was asked. Everything worked for my good including the rain! I cant thank God enough for how he answered my prayers .
Congrats Sis

[quote author=ademeedee post=78097999]Hi I just saw your post, have you made up your mind on what you want to do? I did exactly this... my story. Mine was different because I had previously schooled and worked there. Mu tuition fee was 12900, I got an alumni discount of 3225 and scholarship of 2000 which was 5225. So I had 7165 I think. I paid 3000 for my CAS which by the way all my saving left so I had 4165 to pay. For my money in my account I couldn't get any one to lend me without interest so I paid 8% interest which amounted to almost 420k if I am correct and then you have to pay for your Visa and health sub charges. I had to also pay for priority which pained me. By the time I was going after booking my flight I had less than £500 in my account. I was going to stay with my friend for sometime to help me save cost but she ending up charging me £140 per month which was understandable as she was paying mortgage and bills.

My journey... so I got in touch with some of my old employers and none was willing to give me a job. Anyway, I luckly got a job which paid £9 but only kept me on for two weeks, not sure why. So I had to start looking for another job. For me I was thinking it would be easy to get a job in my field since I had schooled there before but that was me dreaming. Anyway I ended up going back to work at a factory i worked with when I initially got to notts.

Honestly £4500 is a lot of money to pay especially if you are going to pay rent and take care of yourself I did pay the tuition fees on my own but got £1700 from my folks. So I paid £2465. I moved out my friend house 2 months later and got a place of £250. The school is lenient and would allow you to pay as many times possible but before June I think. I cannot say its not doable but it is definitely not easy.

For me, I would say you should rethink your option. I wish someone told me about the emotional and mental trauma it would cost. Don't forget that you would have school work deadlines and also depends on what course you are doing you might not have enough time. If the UK gave like a 2 year post study Visa I would say go maybe you can get people who would lend you and then you would pay back but £4500 in a city you are new too....

I wish I had done my research , probably would have not have gone back and that is only because i feel I didn't get anything out of the system even after all the stress except you have an "after I finish uni plan". My after I finish uni plan didn't work out.
[/quote)

I have not gotten another plan. Thanks a lot for this
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by ObodoNaija(f): 9:17pm On Apr 30, 2019
justwise:
That can only be possible if..

1. Your school allows you to pay the remaining £4,500 within 6months, some schools will require you to pay the whole fees during your registration else the £3000 waiver will be withdrawn.

2. You are able to get a job that pays at least £9 per hour within a month you get to the UK.

Personally I will suggest that you think twice about coming to the UK with this plan.
Thanks a lot. I appreciate
