Good evening house, please I need you guys advice on something, would you advise someone to collect loan from the bank(Gtbank) with 1.33% interest money and put in uber business? A friend of mine is thinking of collecting loan of 2 million to buy 2 cars, a big daddy(1ml) and a Honda (#800,000, the owner is desperately in need of money). He has seen the cars already but just that he is a little bit sceptical about it if he can be able to repay the loan and interest within a year interval. He will drive one and give out one. What is your advice guys and has anyone here collected loan from the bank especially GTBank, what was the person's experience and are there hidden charges that the bank doesn't let the customers know? . 3 Likes |
Hi I just saw your post, have you made up your mind on what you want to do? I did exactly this... my story. Mine was different because I had previously schooled and worked there. Mu tuition fee was 12900, I got an alumni discount of 3225 and scholarship of 2000 which was 5225. So I had 7165 I think. I paid 3000 for my CAS which by the way all my saving left so I had 4165 to pay. For my money in my account I couldn't get any one to lend me without interest so I paid 8% interest which amounted to almost 420k if I am correct and then you have to pay for your Visa and health sub charges. I had to also pay for priority which pained me. By the time I was going after booking my flight I had less than £500 in my account. I was going to stay with my friend for sometime to help me save cost but she ending up charging me £140 per month which was understandable as she was paying mortgage and bills. My journey... so I got in touch with some of my old employers and none was willing to give me a job. Anyway, I luckly got a job which paid £9 but only kept me on for two weeks, not sure why. So I had to start looking for another job. For me I was thinking it would be easy to get a job in my field since I had schooled there before but that was me dreaming. Anyway I ended up going back to work at a factory i worked with when I initially got to notts. Honestly £4500 is a lot of money to pay especially if you are going to pay rent and take care of yourself I did pay the tuition fees on my own but got £1700 from my folks. So I paid £2465. I moved out my friend house 2 months later and got a place of £250. The school is lenient and would allow you to pay as many times possible but before June I think. I cannot say its not doable but it is definitely not easy. For me, I would say you should rethink your option. I wish someone told me about the emotional and mental trauma it would cost. Don't forget that you would have school work deadlines and also depends on what course you are doing you might not have enough time. If the UK gave like a 2 year post study Visa I would say go maybe you can get people who would lend you and then you would pay back but £4500 in a city you are new too.... I wish I had done my research , probably would have not have gone back and that is only because i feel I didn't get anything out of the system even after all the stress except you have an "after I finish uni plan". My after I finish uni plan didn't work out. [/quote) I have not gotten another plan. Thanks a lot for this |

Good morning all, please gurus in the house Can need help on this. l got admission in Nottingham Trent university and my school fees is 10,500 GBP, was given a 3000 GBP waiver which reduces the school fees to 7,500 GBP. I am required to pay 3000 GBP before a CAS number will be sent to me. My plans is to take a loan and pay the 3000 GBP for the CAS. And my question is will it be possible for me to hustle there n pay for the loan, remaining school fees which is 4,500 GBP and my living expenses. |
Visa approved, Monday 25th at Abuja embassy. Window 6 After my third attempt. First one was October 19th 2018, second was 4th of January 2019. And the 3rd was Monday this week. All glory to God because He actually did this for me. Thanks to everyone here who helped me one way or the other. I really appreciate you guys. Here goes my transcript Vo: Good morning Res: Good morning sir Vo: Pass me your passport and I-20 pls Vo: Have you traveled on another passport before? Res: no sir Vo: can I have the passport Res: I said no sir Vo: oh sorry I didn't hear that clearly. Why are you going to Austin Peay? Res: Am going for my masters in computer science and quantitative methods with a concentration in information assurance and security but on my l-20 it was written there as Data modeling...(he didn't allow me to finish the statement) Vo: that's ok. How do you want to pay for the cost? Res: I was offered a graduate assistantship that waived my entire tuition with monthly stipend the rest of the cost will be taking care by my uncle who's into importation trading and distribution of LG brand both home appliances and electronics. I have his statement here with me Vo: that's OK... I won't be needing the statement. The assistantship has covered everything. Where did you finish your undergraduate (I guess he asked that because I couldn't enter my educational history on my ds 160 when I was filling it. I don't know why the part is not coming up on my system.) Res: Osun State University. Vo: Why do you choose Austin Peay State University? Res: I chose Austin Peay State University because they offered broad courses in information assurance and security. Their program incorporate field work with basic course. For example.. (he stopped me here) Vo:thats OK. How did you get this assistantship? Res: I applied then I was scheduled for a Skype interview, a week after the interview I received an email from the department that based on my performance during the interview, my gre scores, my undergraduate cgpa and recommendations, the department was willing to offer me the assistantship. Vo: what do u intend to do after your study? Res : ( but I thought he asked what the degree will do for me, so responded with this with the look of things in Nigeria cyber crime and attacks are becoming common place, sophisticated and damaging. Every organisation has (he stopped me and asked again) Vo: what do you intend to do after your study? Res: I'll be coming back to Nigeria to enforce whatever have learnt because there's a huge demand for cybersecurity experts here in Nigeria. A lot of organization outsource for this skill because its professional expertise... (he stopped me here, thats OK) After this he started typing non stop and said the word *your visa has been approved, you will need your l-20 at the port of entry bla bla. I collected my passport today. [/quote) Congrats Sis. Please can you tell me how you went about your funding for Austin Peay. I recently applied for MEd in Education( I am having funding in mind) and have uploaded the documents needed but I just got an email from them requesting for a financial statement, official transcript, passport n ielts scores. All these weren't stated among their requirements when I was applying. Did u evaluate your credentials? |

Why do most people go for Wes evaluation when their are a lot of evaluating firm. I want to use Span-Tran n evaluate my credentials cus it is cheaper and all I need to send is my degree transcript. It is recognized by Naces n most schools I want to apply to recognizes it. Is there any advantages of using Wes? I want to know so that I don't make mistakes. |
