deolubajo: Visa Approval transcript Abuja Embassy October 26th 2021. 8:30 am PhD Civil Engineering (Fully Funded) Spring 2022 University of Nebraska-Lincoln Previously denied a B1 and F1 visa in 2018 Interviewed by a white American man
Me: Good Morning
VO: Can I have your I-20 and passport, please?
Me: (Hands over required documents)
VO: Have you travelled out of Nigeria before?
Me: Yes
VO: Where and for what purpose?
Me: I was in Saudi Arabia for my Master's Program.
VO: How long were you there, and can I see your masters certificate
Me: I was there from 2018 till June 2021. I showed him my Certificate, and he checked the graduation date to confirm the date I mentioned.
VO: Are you working presently?
Me: No, I have been working on my master's thesis research papers since I got back to Nigeria in June. I have also been learning new software I will need for my doctorate study.
VO: (Nods head in unison)Why are you going for a PhD?
Me: I worked on cementitious materials for my master's thesis. I want to gain an extensive and in-depth knowledge of the use of supplementary cementitious materials in concrete. Hence the reason for advancing further for a PhD.
VO: What do you plan to do after your study?
Me: After my PhD, I plan to advance further as a teacher and a researcher. So I will be coming back to Nigeria to work as a full-time lecturer at my alma mater, the University of Lagos, and research discovering new local cementitious materials to be used in concrete production.
VO: Do you have a family member in the US?
Me: Yes, my mom's younger brother.
VO: Where in the US does he stay?
Me: Providence, Rhodes Island.
VO: Everything checks out. I will be approving your VISA.
Summary: He mostly asked questions from what I filled in my DS-160 form to confirm if everything correlates. And I believe the question about the location of my mom's brother in the US was from my past B1 visa denial transcript.
Thanks to everyone that shared their transcripts. It helped. God bless you. Congratulations |

megbaba: Add my number 09057012118 to the WhatsApp number. And in case there is a date in November or December please kindly let us know. I checked previously denied the date on it was 2023 and also regular the nearest date was June. So as someone who has been denied before which category is appropriate to click on. Previously denied dates start from 2023. While regular nearest date is June. You would have picked regular instead of previously denied so you can see a closer date. You can them fill previously denied on your DS160. |

Hehehehe... how will they know that you lied about it when you didn't mention it anywhere that you have a sibling. If you haven't mentioned it before on your DS160 that you have a sibling there, they won't know bro. |

tasho105: Am still awaiting your contributions to this, pls help.a.bro.
I'm interested in a master's program in management to boost my career. I'm in my late 40s, have HND and BSc in Economics. I'm applying for spring admission.
My question: considering my age, do I have a chance of getting admission in US? ...and what's my chance of getting f1 visa?
Thanks as I await your response For me, I think age doesn't matter if you are going for MSC and not for another BSC. You do have a chance of getting admission and Visa if you meet the neccessary requirements which age is not one of them. |

Aratop: Good morning house, trust we had a restful night!
I requested for an emergency appointment(Lagos) F - 1, since Tuesday night but have not gotten a feedback from them. I do not know if the request takes more than 72 hours. I will appreciate comments based on rich experience...thanks. It takes time most times. I can remember mine took about 2 weeks or so before it was approved and I have a friend that his took up to a month before it was approved. It differs though. There are some people theirs wasn't up to 48 hours. I think they approve based on the availability of days they have. |

Lovelypam: On your second attempt, You were denied because u failed to wait for 2 months before going for another attempt. I guess you used an agent who probably knew about this but refuse to tell you because of money. When booking an appointment you are specifically ask if you have be denied visa within the past 2 months. If you click yes, no visa date will be available to you. If no, then you can schedule a regular appointment. Beware of those agent. I was a victim. My advice try and get a date from November 16. DO NOT GO FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT THIS MONTH!!! This was not the reason for his denial sir. You said you were a victim? Did the VO tell you that you were denied because you didn't wait for two months? You got denied the second time doesn't mean that it was because you didn't wait for two months. I have a friend that got denied in July and she went back in August and her Visa was approved. I think the problem is because of his mom and brother that are over there. |

I want to know if I should just defer till Fall 2022 or if I should try for spring 2022 You won't know until you apply first. And also where do I work ? Those were the questions he asked me. I wish you the best of luck bro. |

Oofay: The paper you were given must have a section of the act written on it. 221(g) or 214(b) I think So check it. If it's under 214(b), just write 'I was denied under section 214(b) if he US .....act.' No need for story. They'll see the particular reason on the system. Okay, thanks. |
