Helo obotubong,

I don't know what to tell you other than you lied and yeah, that could affect all future applications in the future.

Regards,
Abuja NIV Team

Hello VO,

i maybe asking a silly question now but, in my case, is there any document i need to include in my application to help remedy my mistake in the past? and is there a visa type i should apply for?

any advice from you would be appreciated, cos i dont no if i am banned now, so i can save my application fee and move on with my life.

thanks.
Travel / Re: Main Reasons Many Are Refused Visas by obotubong: 8:57am On Mar 16, 2016
plse i need advice, my story goes like this, in 2013 i applied to go do my Msc in the US but was denied. In my application then, i didn't indicate that my dad was a PERMANENT RESIDENCE IN US. due to the fact that 2yrs prior to 2013 he divorced my mum and remarried in the states.(marriage wasn't for any gain cos he was already a PR by then) so we had a bad relationship. but now we have reconciled and he is inviting me to come visit him, planning going in December cos my company closed for the year then.
my question is that would it affect me now that i didn't indicate that my dad was a us citizen back then and how would i know if i have been banned?

NB: my dad been in the states since 1993, owned a company there and he basically wants to start easing me lil by lil into the working of his biz, i do not plan staying there now permanently beyond by visit visa if i am granted but definitely would work towards that in the later future moving there permanently.

Hello VO,

Here is my story and question, i applied for student visa in 2013 and was denied and when filling my application formback then, i did not indicate that my dad was an american permanent residence, and about to be a citizen. now he is a citizen and i want to apply for visiting visa to see him, Q: would the fact that i lied then affect me now? cos reason i lied then was simply because i didn't have a good relationship with him then cos he divorced my mum and became less of a father figure to me.

thanks.

My brother thanks for the tips mehn. I really appreciate this you post. From your experience, where be the best place for ppa? (For science graduate, I no wan teach)

My broda make I no lie to u, in ekiti na 85% teaching work dey for corpers ooo. But if ur lucky and them post u go ado-ekiti, u fit work other places but my broda, na teaching sure pass oo. Wen school dey on vacation, u fit travel wella as u like as long as ur LGI ( local government inspector) na correct person. Even some guys dey travel wen school dey on section, all na ur way based on how u and ur LGI padi reach. But if them post u go ado, na u and state coordinator they ooo. Ghost corpers na to dey other LG sure pass. Me grad as an engineer but I dey teach physics. I dey go sch 8am return 12pm. . Dats just 4hrs, no stress. My LG border ondo and kogi state, so we dey move wella. Omuo where I am is fun just dat as a guy, villa na villa. Wish u all the best.

1. To all my home boys, carry money go camp oo, make u dey flex ursef wella and ur camp babe wey u go get.
2. Cold plenty for camp, so carry enough cover oo
3. For those wey wan redeploy, carry better doc report with good reason oo. Cos na so I carry go and e nor work

TNT is the cheapest for Pick-up service, which is to receive packages from the US..

But your case is different, Since you said you are sending your package to the US.. The last time i visited TNT's office which was about 4 months ago, i made an enquiry about sending packages to the US and how much it cost, and one of their representative there told me the minimum amount TNT charges to send packages to the US is from #14,000 upwards..

But i can still give you their customer care no, for you to confirm about that. Maybe they might have reduced the price..

But another option for you is to use EMS speedpost.. I can CONFIRM to you that they are the cheapest for sending out packages to the US.. The last time i was in their office, they charged me #6,900 to send my admission package to my school in the US, and they told me my package will get there within 4 working days.

DHL, FedEx, UPS, e.t.c will charge you #14,000 upwards to send packages to the US.

FedEx is 9850 to US. i sent a doc in August. deliver 3 wk days

my bro in niaja today when money no too dey and u see woman u wan spend the rest of your life with, na traditional marriage her people requested 1st. and i didn't include i was married in my ds160 so do i still need to go with the weeding photos but i intend saying am married when asked to show i have home ties and intend coming back. in fact i also intend saying she is pregnant and due in early dec ( this part na wash) just to aid my case.

wat do you think?

Anyways since it isnt a pressing issue according to yu guys..no p den.tnks

all we are saying in simple english is dat using NYSC as a home tie isnt a good enough reason and you cud be denied simply by that. think of something better is the advice, full stop

babsharon:
If u can rap d VO with that, I think u can still use it as home tie.

are you sure about that? i personally think its too much of a gamble using NYSC cos the vo maybe aware that NYSC is only needed if you intend to work in nigeria after studies and since the purpose of you saying NYSC is to show u wud come back, the vo may think then if you dont wanna come back to work here then nysc wudnt be necessary which is the reason you are deferring the service till further notice cos you have no intention of coming back to work in niaja. i personally think you shud think of something better. you be guy man, crack your brain.

and again its just my opinion. wat do i know? i never get my own visa yet.
Travel / Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part5 by obotubong: 12:24pm On Oct 18, 2013
Babs911: I'm sure that's the reason for my denied because inside the form given to me its stated that the applicant shows no ties to his foreign country but he never ask me such question concerning ties or not I want to try and make it before the end of this month all I just need is pm me on what to tell the vo concerning my cousin sponsoring me. And did I need to refill another DS-160 and put my working place (First Bank) there cos I don't put it in the first place? Pls my boss reply soon so that I can make another payment today or monday. Thanks

sometimes they dont need to ask you a question directly cos your ans in prev question, sometimes ans the next questions e.g you ans about why California shows dat you had no ties to the foreign country and the vo had doubt that your cousin would spend so much money on you (looking at your tuition and cost of staying on campus and general cost of living in California which is an expensive city relative to other US cities). again its just my opinion which doesn't necessary mean dats wat he looked at. its well my broda.
