onila: Aliko Dangote is richer than almost 5 African countries.
That is because he does not build and maintain roads, hospitals, airports, schools, seaports etc. Neither does he pay soldiers, police officers, doctors, teachers etc. So no, he is not richer than almost five african countries.

StateOfMind: I doubt it. There's a psquare concert abi na show next weekend in zambia and she'll be performing.

How can I watch this miss malaika pageant? Do they still air it? I think the last time I saw it was 2years ago but can't remember which channel aired it. I'd really love to see maria as a judge.
Miss Malaika is a Ghanaian show. Did you watch it in Ghana? I am sure they will stream it on the net sha.

Fulaman198: Correct, and even Upper Volta
(Burkina Faso) you will find Hausa.
That's a good question that you pose
though. I hear that Ghana detests
Fulani people
.
Ghanaians detests lawbreakers, especially when they are foreigners. The fulani herdsmen/nomads are only interested in the wellbeign of their cattles, most of them send their cows to graze on farmlands. In view of this, anytime there is a confrontation between the farmers and the nomads, Ghanaians call for the re-activation of the Rawlings era Operation Cowleg, where he ordered soldiers to drive away all nomads or have your cattles confiscated.

GhanaWeb: Bizarre Xenophobia from Kumasi,
300 Year Stay In Ghana Does Not Make
You A Ghanaian-Immigration

The Zongo Community in Kumasi are
angry over growing xenophobia and
ethnic discrimination after a leading
member of the community denied a
passport because of his ethnic identity
and origin.
The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS)
was said to have argued that, there is
nothing called Hausa tribe in Ghana and therefore anybody who has his/her
ethnic origin outside Ghana is not a
Ghanaians.
“Being in Ghana for more than 300
years does not make you a Ghanaian”.
This came to light at a well attended
press conference in Kumasi by the
Zongo Community calling on the
government to clarify the position of
members of their tribe in Ghana. The
Chairman of the Zongo Community in
Kumasi, Alhaji S. M. Shariff, told a press conference that they are dreading the ongoing consequences of this year’s voter’s registration exercise, as they fear a problem of citizenship and identity, which they experienced during the population census exercise in 2010, will re-occur again.
The call also follows the recent refusal
by the official of the Ghana Immigraton
Service (GIS) in Kumasi to grant a
Ghana Passport to one Malam Shaibu
Suleimana, because the GIS officials
claim he is a Hausa by tribe and does
not qualify for a Ghanaian passport.
Malam Shaibu, who doubles as the Vice-Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Subin Constituency in Kumasi, said he was refused a Ghanaian Passport though he fully satisfied the requiements needed for one to be granted a passport. Alhaji
Shariff said, Malam Shaibu then
informed the Sarkin Zongo of his
predicament. The Sarkin Zongo,
according to the chairman tasked some
people to verify the allegation made by
Malam Shaibu Suleimana against the
Ashanti region passport office.
“After the committee found the
information to be true, the Zongo chief
reportedly had a discussion with the
Director of Passport in Kumasi, one Mr.
Sylvester and explained to him that the
Hausas in Ghana are real Ghanaians
whose history date back 300 years ago”. “We want the government to come clear on the citizenship of Hausa people in Ghana in order to put an end to the confusion”, he added they would require the government to
publicly come out to explain the position of Hausa people in Ghana.
“We are Hausa of Ghana and not
Nigeria, Cameroun, Niger, Sudan and
Benin and our forefathers were in the
country even before the state Ghana
was born
, so there should be no doubt

Fulaman198: Sanusi Lamido is not Hausa, Lamido is a Fulani word, not Hausa.
Don't sweat it Bruh, I don't know about Nigeria, but in Ghana people conclude that you are a moslim and a northner once you speak Hausa.

Kingmojo: We have lots of Hausas in Ghana, so I am not really off. Educated Hausas have great accent. I am not sure but I think the president of Ghana is Hausa or mixed with Hausa.

Which tribe in Nigeria has the best accent? Y'all really should make pidgin your national language instead of English.
Royal^^Pearl^^:
He is Hausa. Yes that guy
sounds like a Ghanaian lol
John Mahama(President of Ghana) is a Gonja, though he can speak Hausa, he is not Hausa. The Hausa dialect is a common vernacular in Northern Ghana just like how Akan/twi is the common
Vernacular in Southern Ghana. Northern Ghana is Heterogenous, why do you think there is a lot of tribal bigotry up there?
Zongo communities in Ghana are indigenes of Hausa(Nigeria, chad,Mali) extraction. Indeed the origins of Ghana-Nigeria Tit-Tat deportation was because of the huge influx of the migration of foreigners(largely Hausa) to post independent Ghana.
Today, Hausa has integrated into mainstream Ghanaian tribes.
PS: The sexy language in Ghana to me is Fante.

That is because Hausa is now a recognised tribe in Ghana. Thanx to Migration

Family: It is not unusual to see
Nigerians and Ghanaians marry. Even
though such relationship will meet and
continue facing opposition from all
sides. Sometimes the Nigerian guys
prefer the cool Gh girls, while the Gh
guys would prefer the 9ja girls. This
kind of union and relationship goes way
back. Since Ghana is not the USA, one
will not consider such marriage as one
of convenience but that of love.

Security: Nigerian comedians are the first to mock the police and entire
security situation in Nigeria. Today it is
Niger Delta militants, next it is Boko
haram. Nigeria is consistently making
headlines as an unsafe place for her
citizens to stay. Many known movie
stars are reportedly kidnapped, armed
Robbery is no news. Many Nigerians
relocated to Ghana because of all these
wahala. They want a place where you
can sleep peacefully, not where you fear
your neighbor.

Tourism: The hospitality industry will confidently inform you that the number of Nigerians patronizing their facility is far above any other nation under UNO!
Nigerians that visit Ghana because of
the positive news from others especially when it comes to their peace, and electricity are numerous. Nigerians love to have fun, and since Ghana is not far, and can offer the relaxing place to chop money, then there is no option than to visit. Sometimes even groups come to chill and enjoy in Ghana.

Business: Obviously a lot of companies and businesses operating in Ghana are owned by Nigerians. In their quest to dominate or conquer the Ecowas region, many Nigerian operations expanded to other neighboring countries, and Ghana
usually benefits from such decision. It
will be difficult to enumerate all
operations both formal and informal in
this essay. Suffice it to say that many
Nigerians are here on business.
Merchants bring in a lot of Made in
Nigeria goods, and equally traders
purchase Made in Ghana goods to be
sold in Nigeria.
Foreign AffairsRe: Nairalanders In Ghana, V.I.P Lounge by Obrafour(m): 6:06pm On Oct 11, 2013
Education: The rigorous procedure to gain admission to Nigerian universities has made it impossible and difficult for
Nigerians to study in their home
country. In Nigeria unlike Ghana where
the only exam required to enter
university is a WAEC. Once you have
good results, you are qualified to seek
admission as far as you can afford the
tuition, you will write two additional
exams, and even passing those exams is
no guarantee.
Many people doubt the quality of
training offered in Nigerian schools
because passing or failing sometimes
depends on your cash and not
necessarily your brains. Such corruption in the academia is not condoned in Ghana universities.
Parents send their wards to school in
Ghana because of security issues as
well, a little child could be kidnapped, a
family can be wiped out in a church by
boko harm, a bright young man could be wasted by cultism or even a village mob, a promising young woman could die because of blackberry or Facebook. In order to retain a family line, it is better that a family is scattered abroad to avoid unforeseen casualty.

The population of Nigerians in Ghana is
unknown, many groups estimate
different varying figures, some argue
that Nigerians in Ghana are almost 3
million, others project not less than 2
million Nigerians residing Ghana.
Whatever be the fact, the truth is that
Nigerians are every where in Ghana for
different reasons. We look at some of
the motivating factors that influence
Nigerians choice of Ghana as their
residential abode.
