Personal attacks on the President will not work. Tell us what you will do. For the last 3 yrs you’ve being gallivanting & talking all over the place. Still you’ve not mentioned your economic policy or what you’ll do differently Creating content and talking points is just to make your online audience happy. Nothing more |
Ofunaofu:No contradiction here. Yes he initiated the process to open an account but it was never opened. There was a an application and documents to open the CBN acct and presidency may have assumed one existed; hence statement by Onanuga. Nothing alarming here. Nigerians are just being driven by conspiracy theories where no exists. In a large burueacarcy sometimes things fall through the crack. In the end this may just be one individual or group of individuals trying to exploit loopholes in the system to commit fraud. The more information comes to light, it’s clearer that this isn’t a corruption avenue by government or political leaders. This will be proven in due course |
So Senegal, Namibia & Eswatini are industrial countries? Whoever posted this should go back to school and learn geography & economics. Why must you post such an ignorant message just to run Nigeria down. |
chicfarmer:The Buhari handover notes and transitional documents would have revealed the state of Finances to the Tinubu government. And besides there was no provision in the 2023 budget for payment of subsidy. Nigeria should have removed this subsidy years ago instead of borrowing to maintain an unsustainable budget item. Tinubu did the right thing by stopping the bleeding in finances. What organized manner is Obi saying? This shows he’s unable to take tough but necessary decisions. Immediate removal was the best economic decision by this government. Prosperity will judge him to be right |
So 3rd & 4th now together to win it all. Imagine the delusion. They won only 12 states in 2023 and now expect to win 24 states in 7 months time. Both now they can’t win but just deceiving their slavish supporters by giving false hope |
PresidentMUGABE:Obi dey waka-waka again to create content. Seriously, in the grand scheme of things, this South Africa immigration issue is a nothing burger. Instead of Obi to run for primaries to show his mettle, he's taking pictures with low-level South African officials. Better tell him to go and start campaigning in NE & NW hopefully he'll get 10% of votes. Even in his mind Obi knows he can't win but has to keep deceiving his gullible Obidients that hope dey |
slivertongue:It's just hyperbole to say he'll deliver big numbers for Tinubu in Edo. These primary results show he can do it |
franchasng:Nobody wan put gbese for head to buy form and do campaign knowing they’ll lose election to APC governors. Fact. |
PrinceOfLagos:Organic followers in just 1 state? What of other places in North? Kwankwaso is an empty shell with 0% electoral value to anyone. The guy just dey use Obi cruise. |
How does this make sense? The 2 guys came 3rd & 4th in 2023, with just just 30% of all votes. Also had 25% in 17 states only. Now they want to win it all in 2027. These guys are dreamers or just think Nigerians are fools. What exactly changed since 2023? Whether it’s OK or KO, they have nothing to offer |
It’s always high level talks & engagement with key partners. He’ll never tell Nigerians his economic plans, infrastructure plans or how to fix insecurity. Same gibberish, bland statement and then moves to another party. He has no clue to solve complex problems of this Nation. Just daily drama and complaining that government does not want him to rule It’s just a shame we still have Nigerians that are fooled by this clown. It’s amazing how people can’t see Obi is an empty shell, clueless to solving problems |
casualobserver:Very correct. People just read headline and jump to conclusions. Why Naija people no dey read things well? I tire o |
There is a deliberate attempt by the press to mislead the public in pursuit of a political agenda. Daily Trust is the arrowhead, and Arise TV spreading the same garbage. Unfortunately, most Nigerians will not research and just accept this misinformation. Here's the latest debt profile as reported by Nigeria's DMO. Analyze the information and form your own conclusion. Debt reduced in USD but rose in Naira. Why? Go figure As of Sept 2025 Total Public Debt $103,937.68 ($103 billion) N153,292,482.36 (N153 trillion) June 2023 Total Public Debt $113,423.77 ($113 billion) N87,379,401.75 (N87 trillion) |
Obi know in his mind. Just Letting his obidients down gently |
“In saner climes you don’t have convoys like this for President or PM” so which clime is this? |
nairalanda1:Even in $ value the Nigerian stock market has grown tremendously. In 2022 it was valued at $50b (based on the subsidized and corrupted rate of 450) Today the value is $90b based on market driven rate of 1,350. More investors have confidence in the Nigerian market and buying up the stock. You guys are sleeping on the Nigerian market due to hatred for Tinubu. Foreign investors see a dynamic market with huge upside growth and putting their money in it |
Afrobasic:Explain how devaluation has impacted their values. Do they buy and sell in dollars, No. Maybe some assets in dollars. Still they have to import inputs in devalued Naira (1,350 vs 700 3 years ago) which increases their costs. Accept that these companies are witnessing real growth due to the deregulation of the economy by this government. More investors are therefore buying Nigerian stock markets thereby increasing their value. This is the simple explanation |
Igbo traders in Gambia gather to welcome their social media President. How is this relevant to the 2027 election? Obi just dey waka all over the place instead of building structures and planning for the election. The |
Ok they’ve checked the list, don’t see Nigeria and are very disappointed. Will they call it fake list or Tinubu bribed IMF? |
This group of iron condemn politicians and bellyaching. What do they want this time? Complaining is all they do. If they don't wish to contest in 2027, they should raise the white flag and save us the N1 trillion INEC budget. Using Obi's reasoning, that money will build 100 hospitals and 200 schools |
FreeStuffsNG:The man believed he’s an untouchable and government cant arrest him regardless. Now he knows better. He was bragging about sending Tinubu back to Lagos in 2027. Now he will beg for mercy or risk jail time. |
Jacoban20:Oh so you believe that crap Obi put out there? Obi knows he’s not fit to be president and just saying things to create content for his gullible followers. Do your findings and stop quoting lamba from Obi |
President Bola Tinubu did wonders
They’ll never agree with this statement. If Nigeria is on the list, this thread will reach 30 pages. Argentina owes $58billion. And this is the country Obi & Atiku keep singing their praise and telling Nigeria to emulate |
Ok Wike is brash and loud. The pertinent question is why is a military officer and soldiers guarding a construction site? Is it a military installation, barracks or house classified military materials? Even a retired military officer still giving command to military officers is an aberration. Is that a lawful command? A retired office only entitled to military escorts, secretary etc. This incident is taking us back to the dark days of military rule. It’s just disgraceful that many Nigerians don’t get this and are hailing the officer for standing down Wike. The military should be confined to their barracks with little or no interaction with civilians. Not the case with Nigeria. Everyday military officers brutalize innocent civilians and we accept vat as normal. This Wike incident is a microcosm of the daily misuse of privelege by our military personnel |
This man doesn’t understand the debt profile. 52% of the debt is domestic. That is Nigerians and local business investing in treasury bills, bonds and other instruments. This signifies confidence in government by citizens. External debt is 48% or $44b. With a debt to GDP ratio of 39% Nigeria is in a relatively good position compared to other African countries. Plus credit rating agencies like Fitch and co continue to rate Nigeria high. And With an external reserve of $42b investors have no reason to shy away from Nigeria |
Brendaniel:Fake stats. Nigeria’s gdp was never this high. With rebasing that year it was 500b. And this was based on Naira pegged to dollar at subsidized rate. |
givedemwotowoto:Rebasing has little effect on this. Generally, rebasing is required to reflect changes in buying patterns and the economy. There have been significant changes in the economy since the last rebasing in 2009. For example, food delivery and online business have exploded in the last 7 years. So to accurately capture changes like this, inflation figures & GDP, rebasing must be done. It is standard practice in all economies to do a rebasing every 5 years. The NBS is not cooking up numbers as you falsely claimed. The important thing is that inflation numbers are trending downwards. One key reason is the stable Naira rate at 1,500 for the last 10 months. Importers now have a more stable exchange rate to work with. Also, fuel prices have come down a bit from 1,000 to 900 per litre. Yes, prices are still higher compared to 2023. Remember back then, fuel was subsidized and arbitrage in the FX Market was rampant. Now prices reflect true market value. Prices may not come down to 2023 levels, but over time, they will continue to reduce. |
There’s more to this meeting. Obi just wants to be seeing talking to Jonathan as a way out. He can now say “I stepped down for my elder brother to save Nigeria”. That way, the lynching from his Obidient mob can be softened. Obi knows he can’t win but too scared of his Obidients to break the news. Jonathan running is the excuse he’s being waiting for. Wait and see |
What is the correlation between passport cost and minimum wage? Obi started this infantile argument. This shows his inability to critique government policies iintelligently and understand what matters in grand scheme. Passport is a privilege for minority of people looking to travel out. Increasing price of passport is inconsequential and there are bigger issues to focus on. |
He who alleges must prove. Basic law. How can a SAN make a statement like this. He should tell the Canadians to provide evidence |
EponObi:Is it even constitutional for a state governor to pay state expenditure from their private pocket? Did the state assembly approve this? This is how corruption starts. Now they'll tell us Osun state owes Adeleke family billions of Naira. Why do these politicians take Nigerians for fools? small time |
