PoliticsRe: 2027: Tinubu Is Tired, And Should Leave Office After 2027 Elections - Peter Obi by occam(m): 7:05pm On Jul 08
Personal attacks on the President will not work. Tell us what you will do. For the last 3 yrs you’ve being gallivanting & talking all over the place. Still you’ve not mentioned your economic policy or what you’ll do differently

Creating content and talking points is just to make your online audience happy. Nothing more
PoliticsRe: ‘PFIPC Has No CBN Account’, AGF Contradicts Presidency by occam(m): 7:59pm On Jul 06
Ofunaofu:
They can only contradict themselves not Nigerians

For Nigerians, this is a government run by thieves, scammers, fraudsters, forgers and drug báróns perpetuating the largest heist ever in the history of this country
No contradiction here. Yes he initiated the process to open an account but it was never opened. There was a an application and documents to open the CBN acct and presidency may have assumed one existed; hence statement by Onanuga. Nothing alarming here.

Nigerians are just being driven by conspiracy theories where no exists. In a large burueacarcy sometimes things fall through the crack. In the end this may just be one individual or group of individuals trying to exploit loopholes in the system to commit fraud.

The more information comes to light, it’s clearer that this isn’t a corruption avenue by government or political leaders. This will be proven in due course
BusinessRe: Top 10 Most Industrialised Countries In Africa by occam(m): 4:03pm On Jun 26
So Senegal, Namibia & Eswatini are industrial countries? Whoever posted this should go back to school and learn geography & economics.

Why must you post such an ignorant message just to run Nigeria down.
PoliticsRe: I Would’ve Removed Fuel Subsidy In An Organized Manner – Peter Obi by occam(m): 8:52pm On Jun 18
chicfarmer:
Did he even look at the books?
You just dey for field where dem swear you in talk say you don remove subsidy. Wetin you know wey you dey remove?

Okay, the subsidy savings wetin you take am do? You just dey share am out to irresponsible governors while you're burdening the people with more loans. Dem take loan swear for una?
The Buhari handover notes and transitional documents would have revealed the state of Finances to the Tinubu government. And besides there was no provision in the 2023 budget for payment of subsidy.

Nigeria should have removed this subsidy years ago instead of borrowing to maintain an unsustainable budget item. Tinubu did the right thing by stopping the bleeding in finances. What organized manner is Obi saying? This shows he’s unable to take tough but necessary decisions. Immediate removal was the best economic decision by this government. Prosperity will judge him to be right
PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Announces Kwankwaso As His Running Mate (Video) by occam(m): 11:44pm On May 30
So 3rd & 4th now together to win it all. Imagine the delusion. They won only 12 states in 2023 and now expect to win 24 states in 7 months time. Both now they can’t win but just deceiving their slavish supporters by giving false hope

‎Peter Obi appears to be the only p0litician in Nigeria ready to put his l!fe on the line, at all c0sts, just to see the country progress once again.

‎In a p0litical arena dominated by self-interest and empty promises, Peter Obi stands out as the only p0litician who consistently puts his l!fe on the line, at all c0sts, just to see N!geria rise again.

‎While many leaders play it safe and pr0tect their comfort, Obi has repeatedly shown a rare kind of courage — one that puts national progress above personal safety and p0litical convenience. Whether facing thr£ats, crit!c!sm, or intense opposition, his commitment to good governance, accountability, and youth empowerment remains uπshaken.

‎He doesn’t just talk about chaπge. He lives it. And in doing so, he continues to inspire mill!ons of Nigerians who are tired of the same 0ld stories.
Obi dey waka-waka again to create content. Seriously, in the grand scheme of things, this South Africa immigration issue is a nothing burger. Instead of Obi to run for primaries to show his mettle, he's taking pictures with low-level South African officials. Better tell him to go and start campaigning in NE & NW hopefully he'll get 10% of votes. Even in his mind Obi knows he can't win but has to keep deceiving his gullible Obidients that hope dey

It's just hyperbole to say he'll deliver big numbers for Tinubu in Edo. These primary results show he can do it

Tinubu did everything to get kwankwaso and Gawuna on his side but kwankwaso followed Peter Obi instead.

Campaign should start quickly please, we can't wait.
Organic followers in just 1 state? What of other places in North? Kwankwaso is an empty shell with 0% electoral value to anyone. The guy just dey use Obi cruise.
PoliticsRe: Peter Obi's Press Release On the Successful NDC Party Convention (Photo) by occam(m): 2:56pm On May 10
How does this make sense? The 2 guys came 3rd & 4th in 2023, with just just 30% of all votes. Also had 25% in 17 states only. Now they want to win it all in 2027. These guys are dreamers or just think Nigerians are fools. What exactly changed since 2023? Whether it’s OK or KO, they have nothing to offer
PoliticsRe: Yunusa Tanko Releases Press Statement Issued By Obidient Movement by occam(m): 9:44pm On May 02
It’s always high level talks & engagement with key partners. He’ll never tell Nigerians his economic plans, infrastructure plans or how to fix insecurity. Same gibberish, bland statement and then moves to another party. He has no clue to solve complex problems of this Nation. Just daily drama and complaining that government does not want him to rule

It’s just a shame we still have Nigerians that are fooled by this clown. It’s amazing how people can’t see Obi is an empty shell, clueless to solving problems

PoliticsRe: Daily Trust Busted For Lying About Nigeria's Debt Profile Under Tinubu by occam(m): 3:44pm On Mar 27
There is a deliberate attempt by the press to mislead the public in pursuit of a political agenda. Daily Trust is the arrowhead, and Arise TV spreading the same garbage.

Unfortunately, most Nigerians will not research and just accept this misinformation.

Here's the latest debt profile as reported by Nigeria's DMO. Analyze the information and form your own conclusion. Debt reduced in USD but rose in Naira. Why? Go figure

As of Sept 2025
Total Public Debt
$103,937.68 ($103 billion)
N153,292,482.36 (N153 trillion)

June 2023
Total Public Debt
$113,423.77 ($113 billion)
N87,379,401.75 (N87 trillion)

nairalanda1:
Not much of a success.

first a minority of the industries are manufacturing industries. None of them actively exports or earns much in exporting. None of them makes electronics, vehicles, heavy industrial products , energy industry machinery, even batteries and so forth.

One trillion naira is just 700 million dollars. That's not much

The above list shows how much we have failed as a nation that we do not have the kind of industries and companies that actually solve problems. We just dey full ourselves

APC has failed abeg
Even in $ value the Nigerian stock market has grown tremendously. In 2022 it was valued at $50b (based on the subsidized and corrupted rate of 450)

Today the value is $90b based on market driven rate of 1,350. More investors have confidence in the Nigerian market and buying up the stock.

You guys are sleeping on the Nigerian market due to hatred for Tinubu. Foreign investors see a dynamic market with huge upside growth and putting their money in it
InvestmentRe: 24 Nigerian Companies Are Now Worth Over N1 Trillion On The Stock Market by occam(m): 5:57pm On Mar 16
Afrobasic:
Why not? When you devalue the currency more companies become trillion naira companies.

This is all semantics by the way. Just like saying Zimbabwean companies are septilion Zimbabwean dollar companies.

You can only fool the foolish. angry
Explain how devaluation has impacted their values. Do they buy and sell in dollars, No. Maybe some assets in dollars. Still they have to import inputs in devalued Naira (1,350 vs 700 3 years ago) which increases their costs.

Accept that these companies are witnessing real growth due to the deregulation of the economy by this government. More investors are therefore buying Nigerian stock markets thereby increasing their value. This is the simple explanation

PoliticsRe: ADC Rejects Revised INEC Election Timetable by occam(m): 7:15pm On Feb 27
This group of iron condemn politicians and bellyaching. What do they want this time? Complaining is all they do. If they don't wish to contest in 2027, they should raise the white flag and save us the N1 trillion INEC budget. Using Obi's reasoning, that money will build 100 hospitals and 200 schools
PoliticsRe: Court Fixes Date For Nasir El-Rufai’s Cybercrime Trial by occam(m): 4:52pm On Feb 20
FreeStuffsNG:
He talks too much and that is a sign of poor use of discretion.

It's no brainer that there was no basis to be that reckless with such a simple question the journalist asked him. He was asked a very simple question, he could not answer without landing in jail and becoming a serious political liability. How is that one now a politician or political asset? Smh

El Rufai should have just insinuated that he was reliably informed but yet to ascertain instead of opening mouth waah to say on TV that he and others at large listen to conversations from illegally tapped phone of the National Security Adviser.

Just imagine anyone saying on TV that he tapped and listens to El Rufai's conversations when he was the Executive Governor of Kaduna State. Will he El Rufai let such individual(s) walk free? He will not! As a matter of fact, El Rufai will do far worse to the individual(s) than DSS is doing with him because Asiwaju Tinubu is a democrat and due process President.
The man believed he’s an untouchable and government cant arrest him regardless. Now he knows better. He was bragging about sending Tinubu back to Lagos in 2027. Now he will beg for mercy or risk jail time.

Jacoban20:
What leakages will there when only N36 million is what they released out of N218 billion budgeted to cater for the healthcare of all Nigerians in 2025?

Not even up to 0.1% of the budgeted money was released. And we're the tax payers

Yet this date, nobody is held to account nor did the presidency deem it fit to give any explanation.

What an insult.
Oh so you believe that crap Obi put out there? Obi knows he’s not fit to be president and just saying things to create content for his gullible followers. Do your findings and stop quoting lamba from Obi

PoliticsRe: Defence Minister Matawalle Slams Wike: Service Chiefs Advised Him To Wait But... by occam(m): 2:46pm On Nov 13, 2025
Ok Wike is brash and loud. The pertinent question is why is a military officer and soldiers guarding a construction site? Is it a military installation, barracks or house classified military materials?

Even a retired military officer still giving command to military officers is an aberration. Is that a lawful command? A retired office only entitled to military escorts, secretary etc. This incident is taking us back to the dark days of military rule.

It’s just disgraceful that many Nigerians don’t get this and are hailing the officer for standing down Wike. The military should be confined to their barracks with little or no interaction with civilians. Not the case with Nigeria. Everyday military officers brutalize innocent civilians and we accept vat as normal.

This Wike incident is a microcosm of the daily misuse of privelege by our military personnel
PoliticsRe: Nigeria’s Rising Debt Profile Scaring Away Foreign Investors — Afe Babalola by occam(m): 5:51pm On Oct 19, 2025
This man doesn’t understand the debt profile. 52% of the debt is domestic. That is Nigerians and local business investing in treasury bills, bonds and other instruments. This signifies confidence in government by citizens.

External debt is 48% or $44b. With a debt to GDP ratio of 39% Nigeria is in a relatively good position compared to other African countries. Plus credit rating agencies like Fitch and co continue to rate Nigeria high. And With an external reserve of $42b investors have no reason to shy away from Nigeria

Fake stats. Nigeria’s gdp was never this high. With rebasing that year it was 500b. And this was based on Naira pegged to dollar at subsidized rate.
PoliticsRe: Inflation Drops To 20.12% - NBS by occam(m): 5:43pm On Sep 16, 2025
givedemwotowoto:
The usual suspects will try to claim credit as usual with something that is bad anywhere else in the world.

For the “upteenth” time let us state again that drop in inflation is as a result of reduced purchasing power of people. If people can’t buy products due to increased poverty and harsh economic environment, inflation will drop. This is not a good thing.

If this happened in the US or any developed country, there will be outrage if the government tries to claim credit for it.

You can’t claim credit on a on an economy that is not growing as it should be.
Rebasing has little effect on this. Generally, rebasing is required to reflect changes in buying patterns and the economy. There have been significant changes in the economy since the last rebasing in 2009. For example, food delivery and online business have exploded in the last 7 years. So to accurately capture changes like this, inflation figures & GDP, rebasing must be done. It is standard practice in all economies to do a rebasing every 5 years. The NBS is not cooking up numbers as you falsely claimed.

The important thing is that inflation numbers are trending downwards. One key reason is the stable Naira rate at 1,500 for the last 10 months. Importers now have a more stable exchange rate to work with. Also, fuel prices have come down a bit from 1,000 to 900 per litre. Yes, prices are still higher compared to 2023. Remember back then, fuel was subsidized and arbitrage in the FX Market was rampant. Now prices reflect true market value. Prices may not come down to 2023 levels, but over time, they will continue to reduce.
PoliticsRe: 2027: Details Of Jonathan, Peter Obi Meeting Emerge by occam(m): 6:37am On Sep 13, 2025
There’s more to this meeting. Obi just wants to be seeing talking to Jonathan as a way out. He can now say “I stepped down for my elder brother to save Nigeria”. That way, the lynching from his Obidient mob can be softened.

Obi knows he can’t win but too scared of his Obidients to break the news. Jonathan running is the excuse he’s being waiting for. Wait and see
PoliticsRe: Cost Of Passport / Minimum Wage From GEJ To Tinubu - ADC Coalition by occam(m): 7:42pm On Aug 31, 2025
What is the correlation between passport cost and minimum wage? Obi started this infantile argument. This shows his inability to critique government policies iintelligently and understand what matters in grand scheme.

Passport is a privilege for minority of people looking to travel out. Increasing price of passport is inconsequential and there are bigger issues to focus on.

CelebritiesRe: Davido, His Dad & Gov Adeleke Have Been Paying Osun State Salaries - Bode George by occam(m): 9:18pm On Aug 18, 2025
EponObi:
Does this man understand what he's saying?

It's impossible.

How much dem Adeleke get wey be say dem go dey pay monthly salary of the entire workforce of a whole state? Even Dangote no fit try am.

What happened to the big monthly allocation the FG now give state governments? Osun get more than 10B naira per month as FAAC. Governors like Peter Mbah have said months ago that because of the PMS subsidy removal, states no longer borrow to pay salary. They are now clearing their debts.

If this is true, it's enough reason to impeach Ademola Adeleke. Osun State is not a family business. If, big IF, they are using their family fund to pay salaries, what's their expected gain because it's 100% certain they are not running charity?
Is it even constitutional for a state governor to pay state expenditure from their private pocket? Did the state assembly approve this? This is how corruption starts. Now they'll tell us Osun state owes Adeleke family billions of Naira. Why do these politicians take Nigerians for fools? small time
