So I should blame you instead?

Who is the chairman? Why must he threatened war in the first place? You said ECOWAS is doing the bidding of France and you want me to blame only ECOWAS as if Tinubu is not representing Nigeria there.

Burkina Faso and Mali who are member state said they don't want the invasion, why is Tinubu who is representing Nigeria not saying the same thing?

Why didn't they advocate for dialogue first before threatening?
Talk no sweet una go dey talk am.

you still dont get it, how in the world will any African President even think of invading another african country because a coup was carried out not to talk of mentioning it? Tinubu or any ecowas member country head of state no fit try am. wetin they wan gain from such invasion?
niger coup isnt the first African coup and its not gonna be the last. the question is why Niger coup is generating so much fuss? why is America and France threatening fire and brimstone on top NIger coup? by now you should know the answer.
Mind you ,Niger citizens said they don't want France and US presence in their country anymore, so the coup was not about the president but foreign interest which they want an end to. URANIUM,GOLD AND OIL, are the only things that can make america or the west bare their fangs, Niger has two of those, especially Uranium which in large quantity hence france isnt going to bow out just like that.
You mentioned Mali and burkina faso, both countries are being ruled by the military currently thanks to coup. so, you expect them to support invasion of Niger so that they will be the next to be invaded right? take tinubu out of the picture first and think am well,
Foreign Affairs / Re: Coup Threatens $180m Nigeria, Niger Republic Cross-border Trade by OceanRed(m): 6:40pm On Aug 13, 2023
Im really surprised that people are blaming Tinubu for the ECOWAS planned military intervention. like seriously ? ECOWAS is just acting on the script of the west( US and France obviously) . France particularly wont leave Niger, the Uranium and gold they are stealing in niger wont let them leave, and USA on the other hand will not want the gas pipeline project running from nigeria to the EU to come to fruition , as they are the only major supplier of gas to Europe currently . Both country do not give a hoot if Niger is burned to the ground, as long as they keep milking the country and the country destabilized. same thing they did to Libya, Iraq, yemen, syria etc.

Google is a search motor, you type things on Google and it looks for online content related to what you typed. More than 99% of what Google returns are complete garbage. You need to know how to use search motors in order to get true information. For example, you have no knowledge of history, you don't know how to search for maps, you will basically take any fake map which makes your claim. I am not like you, I'm educated, I know where to look and how to authenticate documents, I can even go to specialists in great European libraries if necessary. You can't do any of that.

Notice I brought a precolonial map to prove my point, you said "Google" to prove yours. With you yarri.ba guys, it is all about your mouth, never any proof, just mouth.

lol.. you are funny bro , i wont insult or trade words with you. pre colonial map that yu got from google and you claimed that google returns garbage. how about you share the source of your map? lets start from there

Was Google around to witness "oyo empire" ?
However dumb I am, I know that when you make a claim, you present evidence to back it.
You need documents written by eyewitnesses which show your fabled "oyo empire".
Here is a map of Africa from 1747, where is oyo empire in it ?
History is not about emotions and ethnic bigotry, it is about evidence!

You can see one kingdom as big as Nigeria which goes by the name of "Kingdom of Benin", ruled by a monarch with the title Oba who lives in the capital of the kingdom, Benin city.

You are more dumb than i actually thought, so google is now a lying machine right? the same google that you downloaded your map from, impressive!
Oga, google upload their contents based on historical facts. Google is not even up to 30 years old!
nevertheless, there are hundreds of maps depicting the old oyo empire on the same google , you can look them up. meanwhile, in those days, there are different map makers each one drawing map based on his knowledge , there was no consensus map of any territory untill recent century. there were nations that once existed and flourished but they are not any map cus no one actually drawn them or their map got lost. Great Tartaria was among those nations.

The way you guys are obsessed with Benin is incredible, what in hell links Benin to this event, yet you had to mention the Oba of Benin whose title your monarchs keep using fraudulently as if they have forgotten their own titles. You clearly lack understanding of history and seem to believe the current political structure in the land mass of Nigeria has always been in place.
Let me open your eyes a little, here is a Precolonial map of Africa, locate Benin on it, and look for Ife on it. That will tell you the difference in importance between Benin empire and Ife village !
Do you know how insulting it is to say that the king of a large sovereign country got his crown from a village head called Oni of Ife ?

Most of you guys don't understand that Benin Kingdom/empire was a country ! An independent country until it lost a war to the UK! What exactly was Ife if not a village !

You are a complete dulard!, illitrate and extremely dumb. simply google oyo empire to have complete understanding of how vast the yoruba is. the current Benin republic was formally under oyo empire. it is diffrent from benin kindom which is currently a state in Nigeria!

BEST PIECE I HAVE READ ON NAIRALAND! NOW, HERE SOMEONE WITH A OT OF WISDOM!

Reminderz:
when it comes to social relationships, most women are smart and not intelligent, while most men are intelligent and not smart...

women are brutally manipulative, cunning and powerful... underrate them at your own risk... a man without the redpill is a dead man walking... it only takes a predatory female to finish him off... dear awoken men, you have responsibilities to carry out on your sons and brothers to avoid them treading the same path of fallen men...

if the story is true which I believe it is due to a even more crazy scenarios I've experienced and seen, then I would say a man who let emotions override his logical ability will pay dearly for its consequences when it comes to dealing with the opposite sex...

the woman said the baby was born prematurely and he believed her... smh... and can anyone tell me? what is that route that she doesn't want to go through again? murder? bro when we warned many men here on the red flags to look out for, some foolish men and women commented that it's nothing to be worried about... well I hope they end up the same way as those fallen men... one lesson in life is to never try to save anyone who doesn't want to be saved.. life will surely deliver a very painful lesson to them, that's if they are lucky to be alive...

dear men, after speaking on some red flags to watch out for some couple of weeks ago and why it shouldn't be taken slightly... this is another set of red flags to look out for which I got from one of my divorced male friend who found out his wife was cheating on him...

1) always note down the last time you slept with your wife...

2) dna test is a must and most especially if you didn't meet her a virgin... try as much to find out and most especially on your first child...

3) her survival comes first and her child second... you're never considered or treated with less importance..

4) a woman will go any desperate lengths to get her secrets covered...

5) women will cheat on you and you may never find out till you die..

6) women will give you the craziest sex style and cook your favourite food, send you the best love letters and still be cheating on you...

7) a man who relies on a woman and believes everything a woman says is a man destined to fail...

8 ) your purpose and mission should come before any woman...

9) women are not going anywhere...

10) you can either love or understand woman, you can't do both... if I'm to choose, I will choose the latter because I've understood that women don't love men...

finally, save yourself man.. no one is coming to save you...

You continue to get things in the wrong way.
What do you mean by not entangling in local politics and you say it's safe?
Is Lagos State, not part of Nigeria? Is Lagos State, not bound by the constitution of Nigeria? Didn't the Nigerian constitution guarantees every Nigerian the right to vote and be voted for? The right to live in any part of Nigeria and be law abiding?
Are their no Nigerians of Yoruba extraction, who live in the UK, USA, who contest and win elections there? Why will it be seen as an aberration in Nigeria and in South West, if a non indigene offers himself in Lagos and anywhere in Nigeria for service to a community, where he has spent more than half of his life aside the state of his origin?
Just tell me that I'm not a Nigerian, so that I can understand my position. No Nigerian is for whatever reason is offering his services to anywhere in Ghana in an elective position. It's understood. He's a foreigner. When you tell me, not to mingle in the local politics, but you can canvass me to vote for you in an elections, ask me to go for my voters card, give me your campaign souvenirs, yet I can't decide who rules me, are you not calling me a foreigner and an Idiot?
If you want to copy others, copy well, if you follow others follow well and not half hearted.
You said Lagos has been fairly good for non indigenes, and investors, understand that investors are in categories, no matter your level, when your place of business, is constantly under attack, what do you call that? When there's constant fire out break and laws are been slammed on you from all quarters, what do you call that? Agberos, with government approval are constituting serious nuisance, what do you call that?. Have you taken a look at the containers and their nuisances on the road? What is the cause and you said it has been fair. Ok
Haven't you heard of investors in Lagos State, complaining of different kinds of tax regime and harassment here and there?
My post, was advisory, like I said, there, the North is reaping there own now, religion, culture, kidnapping, banditry, has taken a toll on their development.
South East, is trailing behind South- South, due to insecurity.
It's left to the people of South West especially Lagos State, to know who to treat non- indigenes. A careful look at investment now in the South West, is gradually shifting to Ogun State, this is what we're talking about

well said, like i said earlier on, lag has been open to non indigenes since Nigeria independence, it still does, no qualms. The recent squabble between the yoruba and indigbo in lagos was political in origin, twas due majorly to clashing of politicalinterest between the both tribes. the indigbo's choice of gubernatorial candidate was a no no for a state like Lagos. Now election is over and things are gradually returning back to normal, im sure there will be positive changes in other aspect you mentioned. peace

...the sugar in a plate of semo, amala, akpu, pounded yam, etc. Will amount to about a box of cube sugars. The irony here is that the glucose and other monosaccharides in these drinks are a form of carbohydrates just like the disaccharides in complex sugars like sucrose (normal sugar)
.
Although all carbohydrates are reduced to glucose and consequently glycogen which are stored in the liver in complex metabolism reactions in the body, you cannot exactly compare these simple sugars to normal sugars.
.
And ironically, the malt we so much prefer to soda drinks contain Maltose which are complex sugars. A molecule of maltose can comparatively yield two molecules of monosaccharides in these soda drinks.
.
My point is that starch and carbohydrates like corn syrups and the foods I mentioned up there are much worse than these drinks. And although their intake should be controlled...it would be a futile endeavour if you keep supplementing them with excess starchy foods.
.
Malt is not a saviour either.

i disagree with you, all the foods you mentioned contains sugar that can be metabolized and broken down naturally in the body to release energy, buh these drinks contain fructose , a synthetic sugar which aint broken down in the body but instead stored up in form of fats .which in the long run results in obesity, kidney damage, cardio vascular issues and host of other diseases

Pls what are the targets of all other FTZs in Nigeria and kindly explain to me how they haven't achieved their targets in Nigeria?

How did you come to.the conclusion that LFTZ is the only functional FTZ in Nigeria?

Are you even aware that there are other free zones in Lagos?

The way u people use the word "visionary" for Tinubu it's as if no one has ever done what he has done. If Tinubu is "visionary" because of LFTZ, what will say of IBB who promulgated the EPZ decree of 1992 that gives legal backing and authorisation for the establishment of any free zone? If Tinubu is visionary, what then will u say about the person who established the NEPZA that regulates free zones, grants licenses for their establishment and licenses to any one who wants site his business in a free zone? What do we say about the owners of the several free zones in the country who without state resources were able to establish free zones?

You claim that "FTZ created by federal government starting from 1992 are under utilized and useless till now.".

Pls explain how u arrived at your conclusion? How is LFTZ the only free zone in Nigeria that is fully functional?

If a free zone was the major criteria that influenced Dangote siting his refinery in LFTZ, how then according to you was rivers state his first choice?

Why won't u "need to tell me the kinda projects that are currently in LTFZ, and their economic potentials"? its not obvious. Pls tell me

lol.. my friend, it seems u have a lotta free time on your hands. I, on the other hand aint so lucky.
im sure u wil agree with me that unnecessary argument like this are time waster. my congratulations to Lagos State to be the home of dangote refinery, may it bring economic benefits. isee

Then what is all the hype about Tinubu and LFTZ?

Of all trade zones in Nigeria currently, has anyone of them achieved its targets in Nigeria? The ultimate aim was for the free trade zone scheme to attract foreign direct investment, generate employment, enhance trade and industrialization, promote exports, enhance foreign exchange earnings, encourage transfer of technical know-how to Nigerians and contribute to the economic growth and development of Nigeria,
Only Lagos FTZ is fully functional and has fulfilled to a large extent the aim of FTZ, mind you LFTZ seems to be the only one established by a state government, it takes a visionary leader to take on such endeavor.
FTZ created by federal government starting from 1992 are under utilized and useless till now.

I dont need to tell you the kinda projects that are currently in LTFZ, and their economic potentials, its obvious.
Dangote refinery was meant to be est in rivers state, it didn't work out, same as in ondo state, if there is no TFZ in lag, then the refinery would probably be elsewhere in another state now.

Ibifiri Bobmanuel, thank you. In one of my previous posts, I have said, that an investor is not interested in investing in a place where the peace of his investment, will be threatened. When the youths and people of Rivers and other Niger Delta areas, were flexing muscles under the name of militancy and oil, we told them, but the couldn't listen.
When the Northerners were using religion and culture to scare away investors, we said, they never listened. With all the arable land in their possession,no serious investor is looking towards that end.
The people of South East, under the guise of agitation for Biafra, are causing lots insecurity, making investment their, very difficult for big time investors. In the next 10-20 yrs, these agitators, will see the negative effect it will have on the economy of South East.
The people of Lagos State and South West, should be careful, the way,the treat non- Indigenes and potential investors. International community and investors are watching. Dangote is neither a Lagosian, nor a South Westerner, but look at the massive investment in Lagos. When you threaten non- Indigenes, you are threatening investors, no matter the class, every investor,no matter the class, has its contribution to both the IGR and employment within the region or state.
Therefore, Leaders in the South West, especially Lagos State, should be careful in their dealings with potential investors. Learn a lesson from what is happening in other regions.
Oil is been produced from the South-South, but headquarters of the multinationals are here in Lagos.
Think and act wisely.

Lagos is not treating non indigene in any bad way, sw generally is accommodating to non indigene and foreigners, lagos alone has the highest number of foreigners and non indigene . there are non indigene holding political position in lagos same as in civil service!! highest in any state in Nigeria. As long as non indigene do not interfere with internal politics of the state, there will be continuous harmony. buh, the moment a certain group of non indigene take upon themselves to start regarding the host state as a no mans land, and at the same time trying to impose a non desirable political candidate on the state, then they have crossed the thin line between accommodating and hostility!
there are hausas, ijaw, tiv, etc and host of foreign nationals living in harmony in lagos, no one bothers them.
Dangote refinery will not be in lagos today if lagos is treating non indigene badly.

I have come to understand that the way most nairalanders see things (which I must say is) from a very myopic and uneducated perspective is the same way most of the politicians in Nigeria see too.

Have you wondered why Nigeria, a commercial-quantity oil-producing country cannot boast of one fully functional crude oil refinery? Have you asked yourself why Nigeria a country that has a coastline spanning over 800km, bordering on seven southern states of the country will congregate their most functional ports in just one of those states, knowing fully well that that state has a very small terrestrial area for the large scale of human presence the ports will invoke?

The politics of hate and tribalism is a major limitation to the growth of Nigeria; it is the reason why we have a sane person loosing all sense of reasoning when it pertains people of his descent against those he sees as outsiders.

The mindset must first be changed then other changes will follow suite.

*Tinubu and Upcoming Nigerian Youths Revolution*
Nigerians underrated Tinubu, a man who forged his birth certificate and forged his parental background.
He forged his school certificate.
He forged his identity and name.
He forged his village, town, LGA and state of origin.
He forged his university degree certificate.

And nothing happened.

We underrated a man who got away with paying people to impersonate as bishops and GOs
He got away with drug cases in the US by paying huge fines.
He got away with Muslim/Muslim ticket.
He got away with ethnic bigotry.

And we did nothing.

We underestimated a man who pocketed the media for years and controlled the narrative.
Pocketed Lagos for over 24 years and decided who governs Lagos State.
Tinubu removed democracy from Lagos State and some western states and openly introduced agberocracy.
Controlled APC and brought in Buhari to rule after he has even given up. He is to continue from where Buhari stopped!

We did not pay attention when he intentionally refused to attend any presidential debates, but made jokes of them.

We didn't pay attention when his greatest critic, FFK, became his biggest defender.
The "mighty" Wike with his band became his puppet overnight because of money and promise of federal minister.
The one-time respected lawyer Festus Keyamo became his errand boy.
As Tinubu's boy-boy Keyamo is now a specialist in double speak!
Maybe, just maybe, we underrated him too much and never saw that he could buy Yakubu and the entire INEC structure, buy the electoral system, and control even the police and judiciary.with money looted from the Lagos State Treasury, and lately federal government.
Nigerians did not take note of the confession of Rotimi Amaechi, that Tinubu recommended Yakubu Mahmood to Buhari for appointment as INEC Chairman. Yakubu Mahmood delivered for his master Tinubu.

We urged him on with our silence and even hailed him as a Chicago boy. We were comfortable calling him Emilokan.

We forgot that the man who ordered for the massacre of protesting innocent youths in Lagos is prepared to shed as much blood as possible to be in Aso Rock, it's his life time dream.

We forgot that for over 18 years this man made solid plans to become the president of Nigeria by all means or wreck it. He even told us about how dirty he was prepared to grab power.

But, he underrated the resilient spirits of the present NIGERIAN youths, and that is his greatest undoing. If the youths allow this to stand, they should expect this to be only the beginning of all evils. If they win this, the youths will put an end to impunity, bigotry, godfatherism, hooliganism, thuggery, intimidation and violence.

This robbery should not be allowed.

Don't come telling me it is the will of God. If robbery and violence are the will of God, what then was the purpose for establishing the police department?

The mother of all revolutionary protests that will shake the very foundation of Nigeria is now inevitable.
Tinubu will not be the President of Nigeria ‼️

which Nigerian youth? from which region? be specific, you talk as if he doesnt have supporters among same Nigerian youth
