Foreign Affairs / Re: ISRAELI Weapon Damaged Iranian Air Defenses Without Being Detected by ocelot2006(m): 1:21am On Apr 21 |
Frankly I find this whole claim laughable. Why? First of all, the Americans and Isrealis in particular are yet to show any proof. I'm fairly certain that the Isrealis would've shown their own battle damage assessment (BDA) carried out after their response. But they didn't. On the satellite image shared, it shows absolutely nothing. No damage, no crater, no burn marks on the ground, no debris field. Absolutely nothing. To make it even worse, Isreal's own ultra right Minister of Internal Security called Isreal's response "Lame" (his word, not mine). Yet I see a bunch of Nairalanders celebrating over.....nothing. Ladies and gentlemen I suggest we stick to facts on the ground, not beer-parlour gists and hear-says. Oh well, carry on o. |

Tjra: What makes you think the Iranians don't already have at least 2 or more nukes? The JCPOA already failed no thanks to the Americans. And the Iranians have a sophisticated ballistic missile and drone program. Iran is NOT Syria. Iran is definitely NOT Palestine. They've already proven their mettle through proxies (Hezbollah and Houthies) and they've established some deterrence. You really think the Isrealis want to test the waters again? Well, the Iranians are equally ready. F@ck around, find out. #FAFO 1 Like |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Jordan Will Not Become A "Theater Of War" Between Israel And Iran by ocelot2006(m): 1:04am On Apr 17 |
Paulruth: Nope, Israel is the one that made the mistake of assuming that they can attack the sovereign territory of another country and get away with it. Iran is NOT Syria. What Iran has proven is that they can equally reach out and touch Isreal, and have established some sort of deterrence. The Israelis are simply butthurt that the Iranians dared to respond. Folks seem to forget the actions of the Iranians against the Saudis (i.e. the deadly drone and missile strike against Saudi Aramco facilities years ago despite the Patriot Air Defence shield) and the Americans in Iraq after Gen. Soleimani's assassination. Anyway, the Israelis f@cked around and found out. #FAFO |

Foreign Affairs / Re: Russia-Ukraine War: World News, Weapons & Battlefield Discussions - Live by ocelot2006(m): 12:41am On Apr 04 |
0m0luabi: The Iranians did carry out a direct retaliatory strike this year against Isreali covert asset (base housing Mossad agents) in Erbil, Kurdish controlled Northern Iraq, using cruise missiles. Casuality rate was considerable. Equally keep in mind that the Iranians tend to rely heavily on Militia groups like Hezbollah and co, controlled/advised by Quds operators, to do their wet work. Note that if the Iranians could retaliate against the Americans, they certainly will retaliate against this attack on their territory in Syria. Covertly of course.. 2 Likes |

Jeyun: Read the 2nd paragraph of my previous post. Gaza was ALWAYS a compact open air prison b4 the present war, with over 2 million Palestinians packed tightly in a tiny strip of land, and surrounded by massive security walls with automated gun turrets, plus air and naval blockades, and electronic surveillance system. No one gets in or our of the strip without the express permission of the Usreali authorities. The strip isn't allowed to build any airport or seaport. The Palestinians aren't even allowed to fish beyond a certain distance of their own waters. From time to time when there are issues with Isreal, Isreal bombs the strip with absolutely no regards for collateral damage; afterall the Oalestinians are viewed as less than humans. In a nutshell, the strip is a tightly packed ghetto filled with with Palestinians, a considerable chunk who are already refugees in their own land living under plastic tarps. |

Jeyun: Oh really Swap places with Palestinians in Gaza....go on. Gaza is presently not under siege, yet over 2 MILLION Palestinians have been displaced with over TWENTY EIGHT THOUSAND KILLED (over 5,000 being CHILDREN). Water is cut off. Gas is cut off. Electricity is cut off. MOST hospitals have been destroyed. Large swathes of neighbourhoods leveled to the ground. Paramedics shelled. Isreali snipers killing Palestinians irrespective of age. Isreali buikt AI systems decodes who dies (f@#k collateral damage)......yet Gaza is not under siege.. Meanwhile, prior to 7th October, all Gaza's borders were controlled by the Isrealis. Access to the stripe was controlled by Isreal. Gaza was continously under air and sea blockade with the stripe intensely monitored. You approach the wall, you're shot. You exceed the Gazan shores, your are SHOT. |

Botragelad: Why not tell Isreal to first end its seige of Gaza PLUS its 75+ years of brutal military occupation, land theft, dehumanisation, and killing of Palestinians? Do that and watch HAMAS disappear. |

Having multiple types of attack helicopters make no sense as this will be an issue logistic wise. Of we no longer needed the Russian Mi-35, we should've stuck to the recently acquired Turkish attack helos only. Keep in mind that the Americans are notorious for their weapons embargo. |
