And why shouldn't Africa be neutral in this war? Last I checked, I didn't see the USA, UK, and France run to the aid of Rwanda during the genocide. I equally didn't see the west run to end the conflict in Southern Sudan. BTW didn't the USA place an arms embargo on Nigeria during our counter insurgency ops against Boko Haram that we had to turn to the east (I.e. Russia, China, Pakistan, Belarus, Singapore, Isreal, etc) for arms and training. A bit of history: keep in mind that the Ukrainians were the ones selling arms to the damn RUF rebels against yhe Nigerian led ECOMOG force and innocent people of Sierre Leone during the bloody SL Civil War. We have no quarrel with Russia so I suggest we mind our business.

20 years in Afghanistan and the US led ISAF could only barely control major population centres only, not the rural areas which accounts for most of Afghanistan landmass. Same coalition ran away when the Taliban overan Kabul (aka Saigon 2.0)

The Russians on the other hand with a force of just 190k men took over 20% of Ukrainian territory in it's most industrial heartland, plus 80% of it's coastline and 100% control of the Azov. While doing that, the Russians wiped out most of Ukraines initial and recent military inventory and have wrecked Ukraine critical infrastructure (power, transport).

Btw note that Bakhmut is not like Izyum where the Ukrainians were doing thunder runs in a massive area sparsely protected by only 2,000 Russian Guardsmen and militias. In Bakhmut, Russian Wagner have basically turned it to a Ukrainian meat grinder with Ukraine suffering horrific losses.

Epic arsenal indeed. The Ukrainians will recieve only a company of Challenger 2 tanks and maybe same qty of Leopard 2s. Throw in a bunch of Bradleys and Marder IFVs. In all, it still won't change anything in the battlefield. As a matter of fact I'm willing to bet the Russians will scrap a considerable number of them, same way the scrapped the previous inventories of weapons initially sent, hence Ukraine's new begging process for more weapons. Why?

1. This is not some 3rd world country like Iraq, Syria, Somalia the west is messing with, but the RUSSIAN FEDERATION

2. A company of western tanks will have to contend with the Russian T-90Ms and T-72B3Ms built to the T-90M standard, plus the lighter BMP-3, Russians heavy artillery plus attack Helo and fixed wing aircrafts. And did I mention Russian ATGM teams armed with KORNETs? Better ask the Isreali Merkava tank crews from the 2006 Lebanon War their experience with the Russian KORNET in the hands of Hezbollah.

Look at your "logic": Putin will be deposed and Russia will use a dirty bomb? First of explain why Putin will be deposed when a enjoys a support of over 70% of Russians in a conflict that the Russians consider to be important to their national security. Equally explain why the Russians will use a "dirty bomb" when (a)they have tactical low yield nukes and (b)they've clearly stated that they won't carry out 1st nuke strikes as stated in their constitution unless they're attacked 1st.

Gerasimov has been placed in charge of the SMO should worry Ukraine and the West A LOT. And the last time the Ukrainians made any major progress was months ago with Kharkiv. Kherson do not counter as the Russians intentionally carried out a tactical withdrawal. Every other Ukrainian offensive has been brought to a screeching halt. Manpower losses are high, ammo and weapons stocks are low, and the Ukrainians have basically met the Russian defensive wall. The Russians on the other hand are on the offensive with gains made in Donetsk as they've brought in additional troops, ammo, and weapons. This war of attrition will not go well for Ukraine at all.

Standard Russian propaganda to turns things around on its head. Make no mistake, Bakhmut is HELL for both Ukraine and Russia, but Russia has suffered by far the larger casualties.

Weapon stockpiles in the West are more than sufficient to crush Russia if they tried themselves in a conventional war. As it stands, Ukraine has barely received up to 5% of Western conventional capability. and yet they are happily showing Russia pepper.

You think Bakhmut's like the Izyum front where the numerically Ukrainians were doing thunder runs in an area sparsely protected by very few Russian militia men and National Guardsmen?

And no sir, western stockpiles are not enough to change the tide. Ukraine has a dwindling stockpile of ammo, far fewer tracked vehicles with most blown up by the Russians, very few rotary and fixed wing combat aircrafts, a totally destroyed arms industry that can't support the military, etc. The Russians on the other hand have addressed their manpower deficiency, have brought in more ammo, tanks, IFVs, aircrafts, artillery and has its arms industries fully mobilized to support their SMO

All you need to know:

One country is defending.
While the other is attacking.

Once attacks stops by the aggressor, then the country that was invaded will stop defending.

Ukraine's saving grace has been NATO and Russia's decision to go in initially with kids gloves. Else this war would've been over months ago as the Russians have basically wiped out most of Ukraines initial military inventory.
