Bros!!! I don't have an issue with you going to whatever school your parents coukd afford. But you won't deny the fact that even with my 120 in jamb I can get admission into a private university in Nigeria. In this case, majority of those in private institutions have no paint of merit even to a dot. Quote me anywhere. Once again I am no hater! But you can't tell me that dividing 1 by 1,000,000 gives you a number plausible |

I have suffered from intellectual bullying before and know one when I see it. It's not fair . Keep on the great work. Happy new year great lady winsomelady: You are such a darling. It is well said. I am not in any way trying to prove anything. By opening this thread, I just wanted to use the avenue to help others. A lot of people would have love Mathematics but they didn't have anybody to help them. Once again, you are really great. You rock. Ordinarily, I would not have done the really simple Maths problem, but then I will. Once again, thanks for being such a wonderful person. And by the way I wish you a great new year ahead of you |

Guys I greet you all. I am standing as the most unlearned member of this family. I stand corrected but it's high time we mathematicians and physicists stop trying to put down others. It's not fair. We are not perfect. When one is trying, we should try to encourage and not test them to see if they can solve something wr think we are geniuses in. I have once been humbled by a very simple question. And except you have passed through my situation, you will never understand the need to be cautious with higher than normal self esteem. I greet y'all |

Education › Re: Winsomelady Demystifies Mathematics by Ocheinstein(m): 9:53am On Dec 30, 2017 |
Anytime. I am most available winsomelady: I sincerely wish I could change the title to MATHS DEMYSTIFIED Let's quickly review what we have done. We are talking about number system and I said a given number can be represented in different forms. Take the number 4 as example. 1. It can be represented as an integer as 4 2. It can be represented as decimal such as 4.0 3. We also learnt that it can be represented as fraction since 4 = 4/1. 4. 4 = 1002
For those who are not in the know, Maths can seem daunting and 'unreasonable'. How come, you 'rightly' ask, that 4 is also also equal to 100. Of course, 4 will never be equal to 100. Look at it properly. There is a small 2 below the figures 100. That shows it is in what is called base2. Right from the time we started learning how to count, we have been taught in base 10 or denary. Binary is another number system. It can look 'strange' the first time out but it is really very simple and straight forward when you get a hang on it
Don't think it is only denary and binary that are available. There is no base 1, but we have base 3, 4, 5 ... There are some bases that occur naturally. Take for example our days. That is in base 7, and in the villages and small towns, markets are opened every 5 days. That is in base5.
Next up, we will talk about arithmetic operations in the number bases. Ocheinstein and IamOlusa, I hope to get in touch and see how we can sych our efforts.
God bless |

First of all Bros, the earth isn't a sphere but a spheroid. Secondly, am I arguing with a real scientist or someone who believes what every drunk out there posts on Wikipedia? If you have facts, bring em! IdeeEsperanza: How can someone say the earth is a sphere and rotating at 1000km/h and yet no one can feel it rotating. How can someone say that the sun is 9 million miles away from earth but yet its hotspot can be seen from the cloud?

Thank you for this wonderful contribution. We should not be subjective in our desire to advise. Everyone can do it if only everyone becomes diligent in what they do. I greet you Sir writeprof: Thank you! I was wondering what he was trying to tell young ones who are interested in doing these courses. Well, anyone who really knows what he wants to study should not allow this article to discourage him. The 'few' who will be admitted to study these courses would not be spirits but humans who have paid the price through diligent study. |

Didn't come here to argue with u. Ask any of ur profs with physics education certificate if they can be allowed to teach in pure physics department. Mr facts onlyme07: I bet to disagree. Both of them can lecture, they have education background. They both did teaching practise and are members of TRCN so,no discrimination.
The problem they have is this,B.ed can only do.Masters in Education field while Bsc.ed can do Masters in both the field he/she specialise and also in education. You can ask that your friend again, there is something he's not telling you.
You can proof me wrong with facts and not hearsay bro.! |

You can't get a job in physics department of any university with a Bsc Ed. You are however qualified for lecturing in education physics only. I still think it's more stress than one bargains for Rolex67: Yes I am.
Thanks for the info, I have a passion for lecturing job. |

This doesn't seem official. NMUniversity: Hello,
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
This is to inform you that the deadline for submission of application has been extended to 12th Jan 2018. This is to allow for all inclusiveness because Leadership Newspaper that is very popular up north, carried the advert 2weeks after.
More so, we have received a lot of applications(in their thousands). Don't listen to lies. don't go paying money to boat agents(you cannot trust) so they can help you deliver such important documents. A serious Bird guides its eggs jealously.
NOTE: The venom of the viper does nothing to the back of the tortoise so WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS REGARDLESS OF THE STRIKE BY non Academic Staff Union of Universities
Once this is sorted out and Academic staff are on ground, Non Academic staff recruitment and Admission Processes will start.
Lastly, We also seek the services of Senior Lecturers, Lecturer I & II and Graduate assistants for the Department of Petroleum and Gas. Same requirements as contained in the first advert.
Kindly Spread the News!

The first key to failure is seeking for a blue print for success. Success comes mot at times in unique ways. When you however start looking at other people or even entertaining fear for lecturers, ur journey down the spirals of failure may have started. Believe in yourself and create a path for yourself.
