Sports / Why Lionel Messi Coming To Chelsea Might Be An Unrealistic Dream by ochuski(m): 2:42pm On Aug 06, 2021
Lionel Messi has decided to leave Barcelona. To say the least, the historic club's bombshell dumped on the football world on Thursday was unexpected. The Argentine was due to sign his new deal at the Camp Nou on August 5. The extension's financials were unable to achieve, therefore Messi is now on the free market. Let this serve as a lesson to those who are clamoring for Chelsea to sign Erling Haaland for £500k a week. Due to its financial irresponsibility, Barcelona has lost one of the greatest footballers of all time.

Messi has been a free agent since July 1, but no club has made an effort to pursue him because it was assumed he would stay at Barcelona. We now know this is not the case, and some transfer directors will surely convene emergency meetings with their teams late Thursday night. Due to their financial clout, the Blues will be one of the names mentioned in relation to Messi. Nonetheless, Messi's chances of joining Chelsea are close to none at this point. The latter is more plausible, but if football has taught us anything in recent years, it's that the seemingly impossible can (and will) happen.

In the aftermath of his departure from Barcelona, Lionel Messi to Chelsea is an unattainable pipe dream. Only because of a 2018 interview with Pablo Zabaleta is this myth even circulating. Messi used to play for Chelsea on FIFA, according to Zabaleta, a former West Ham and Manchester City player. When he was a defender at Espanyol, Zabaleta said he played the popular football video game with the Barcelona superstar. From 2005 to 2008, the 11-year Argentine National Team veteran spent three years with the Spanish club. It's no surprise that Messi decided to play on FIFA with those Chelsea teams, considering they were among the best in the world at the time. Furthermore, connections formed out of mutual respect for a club and one's video game preferences aren't always solid.

Messi is currently prepared to leave Barcelona on a free transfer. On the surface, his next team will be getting a fantastic deal due to the lack of a transfer fee. With the additions of Gianluigi Donnarumma and Georginio Wijnaldum, Paris Saint-Germain showed the world how effective and efficient free transfers can be this summer. However, the wages paid to these players are frequently out of this world. The same will be true for Messi, who will be paid exorbitantly. Chelsea's delicate wage structure, which it has worked so hard to establish, would be shattered. This is likely one of the main reasons Blues will not pay a premium price for Haaland, whose weekly salary will be absurdly high.

Chelsea does not want Messi for financial reasons, but there is also no room in the team for him. It may seem strange to say that when discussing the finest player on the planet, but it is true. Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, and Callum Hudson-Odoi are already stacked upfront for the Blues, and the projected transfer of Romelu Lukaku will just add to that. Make no mistake: Messi is unquestionably superior to any winger on Thomas Tuchel's current lineup. Hudson-Odoi, Mount, and Pulisic are all long-term players. Messi will not be taking his talents to Stamford Bridge, as the current stands. He may travel to Chelsea's historic grounds with Manchester City on September 25, but he will not be wearing the Blues' shirt next season. It's wishful thinking, but for supporters, it's nothing more than a far-fetched pipe dream.

What is your take on Messi possibly coming to Chelsea?
Kindly share your thoughts below. Thanks

Sports / Signing Romelu Lukaku Will Give Chelsea Something Erling Haaland Never Could by ochuski(m): 3:46pm On Aug 05, 2021
The arrival of Romelu Lukaku will provide Chelsea with something Erling Haaland could never provide. Chelsea is close to completing a deal for the Belgian international, who previously spent three years with the Blues between 2011 and 2014. Romelu Lukaku will be a Chelsea player by the end of the weekend if everything goes according to plan. The Blues are just a few steps away from bringing the Belgian back to Stamford Bridge. Rumors going around has it that Lukaku and Chelsea have reached an agreement in terms of football. Inter has apparently been told of the forward's wish to return to his boyhood club. It's now up to Marina Granovskaia to reach an agreement with the Serie A champions.

There will be wrangling by Roman Abramovich's most trusted negotiator, but the Nerazzurri are expected to accept an offer in excess of £100 million, with the club turning to Atalanta's Duvan Zapata to fill the vacuum left by the Belgium international. Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea's head coach, is said to have played a crucial role in persuading Lukaku to return to the club he first joined in 2011. When queried about the transfer after last night's 2-2 pre-season tie with Tottenham, the German remained tight-lipped. He stated: "I'm not going to talk about guys who aren't in my squad. Romelu Lukaku is a terrific player, but he plays for Inter, and with all due respect, I will not discuss him in this context."

Tuchel accepted that Chelsea lacked a muscular presence in their forward line following Olivier Giroud's transfer to AC Milan earlier this summer. That's why, before focusing on Lukaku, the Blues were also interested in Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland this summer.

"We may need a sort of player who is used to playing with their back to the goal and can hold possession out of long balls. Timo Werner, Tammy Abraham, and Kai Havertz are not those people. So this is a useful profile that we don't have in the squad. But not at any expense, and certainly not in a panic. We will be competitive regardless of what happens, and we have faith in our players. In the offensive half of the game, we still have some young players from whom we expect more. As a result, we are both comfortable and conscious of our situation," Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel revealed.

If Lukaku returns to Chelsea, he will provide the consistent goalscoring (which Haaland seems to lack) that the Blues sorely missed last season. The Belgium international scored 64 goals in 95 appearances during his two seasons at Inter. And, of course, he has a long and illustrious Premier League resume. Lukaku joined Chelsea from Anderlecht when he was 18 years old, but he only stayed for one season before being loaned out. West Bromwich Albion was his first stop, followed by Everton, where he would clinch a permanent deal in the summer of 2014. Three years later, he'd be transferred to Manchester United. In the English Premier League, he made 252 games and scored 113 goals for those clubs. Lukaku added 35 assists to his tally. In the transfer market, he is as close to a sure thing as you can get.

Sports / Thomas Tuchel’s Reaction After Chelsea's Friendly Draw Against Tottenham Hotspur by ochuski(m): 1:38pm On Aug 05, 2021
We're only a week away from seeing our first semi-competitive fixture of the season, the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday, and ten days away from Chelsea's season opener against Crystal Palace on the 14th. That's not a lot of time for the Blues to finish up preparations, especially since many players have just returned from summer vacations after competing in summer tournaments.

That's why it was so encouraging to see Chelsea put in such a spirited, determined, and high-quality effort in the first 45-60 minutes of their friendly against Spurs on Wednesday night, essentially running the visitors off the pitch in front of a raucous home crowd at Stamford Bridge.

Thomas Tuchel, the head coach, was rightfully thrilled as his team went 2-0 up (and had a goal by Timo Werner mistakenly ruled out) before falling to second-half errors again to settle for a draw. He said after the game; “We got off to a great start, and the game was tense from start to finish. For the first 25 minutes, you could feel the effect of the crowd; it didn't feel like a friendly match at all. There was a slight dip in intensity after that, but in the final 15 minutes, with each ball won by N'Golo Kanté, there was another opportunity to speed up the game. As a result, we did exceptionally well in this. We had active ball recoveries, we produced solid chances, we had strong ball control, and we defended well. So I was ecstatic for 60 minutes. We then had a lot of substitutions, and regrettably, there were two major individual errors, which Tottenham exploited to earn a point. It's not always about the outcome, but there were clear reasons today, and there were many positives for us to take away from the game.”

Tuchel continues; “We had 42 players in the building, which is simply impossible. To provide quality and sensible training for the three groups to which we belong, [we] had to make certain judgments. At the same time, we want to learn more about the guys we'll be selecting. Ross [Barkley] had the same opportunity as Danny Drinkwater to play one-half against Arsenal. We felt that Ruben [Loftus-Cheek] deserved to play today, and we wanted to give Bakayoko a chance to play for the first time under our guidance. Perhaps it is unjust to evaluate them because we do not know them well, but at the very least, everyone has had the opportunity to participate in a game. So it was a matter of picking and choosing.”

As Tuchel stated in his post-match press conference, there are already 42 players in first-team training, which is plainly an unmanageable quantity. With livelihoods and jobs on the line, cuts must be made, at least metaphorically. This is a difficult scenario for everyone concerned, emphasizing the significance and impact of the few opportunities granted to individuals on the team's periphery. Please accept my apologies, Tiémoué.

Chelsea has until Friday to make an offer for Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland or risk losing him for another summer, according to reports. This is according to Eurosport, which claims that Haaland will be unsellable in 72 hours based on information from German sources. Putting a deadline on the Norwegian's possible departure should bring an end to one of the summer's most arduous transfer sagas.

The Blues and Dortmund have been back and forth, with reports and rumors spreading about how close they were to reaching an agreement. Chelsea appears to have moved on to another target in the form of Romelu Lukaku, even before this stated deadline. Inter Milan has previously turned down one huge offer from the Stamford Bridge hierarchy. However, it is reported that another idea is in the works.

Dortmund can undoubtedly exhale a sigh of relief now that the Champions League champion's focus has shifted elsewhere. Losing Haaland would put a serious dent in their season-long goals. Last year, his 41 goals in all competitions almost single-handedly propelled Dortmund to European qualification. Not to mention winning the DFB-Pokal with a double from their intelligent center-forward in the final. This isn't to suggest Chelsea won't try one final time to get to Haaland. However, all signs are that they are currently solely focused on Lukaku.

Is Lukaku worth losing Halaand for?

In recent days, there has been a lot of talk about Chelsea's pursuit of Inter Milan star Romelu Lukaku. According to reports, Inter Milan turned down a €100 million deal for Marcos Alonso as Chelsea considered bringing Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge. The Blues have made no secret of their desire to sign a great striker this summer. A center-forward has piqued Thomas Tuchel's fancy. Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund was Chelsea's prime target, but the deal appears to be dead.

Romelu Lukaku has been named as Chelsea's 'back up' possibility to bring to Stamford Bridge. Many Blues fans were dismayed by the current situation with Dortmund striker Haaland now that he was out of the picture. However, if the Blues are able to capture Lukaku's services, it will be a fantastic coup for Tuchel's team. Inter Milan will not sell for a low price. With that in mind, the club would have to accept a truly outstanding offer.

When comparing the two, it's clear that Haaland will be a key player for the next decade, and the Blues will be able to sell him for a higher price. Lukaku, a 28-year-old Belgian striker, is in the prime of his career. Lukaku was Inter's leading striker last season, scoring 30 goals in 44 games. The striker had a fantastic season, as the club went on to win the Serie A title.

Romelu has spent the majority of his career in England, including stops at Chelsea, West Bromwich Albion, Everton, and Manchester United. The Belgian would be a better fit for the club for that reason alone. During his stay in England, the forward was frequently targeted. Lukaku has also spent the previous several years honing his skills and establishing himself as one of Europe's top strikers. Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, and Mason Mount will all benefit from his presence at the club.

After winning the Champions League, Chelsea will benefit from bringing in a world-class striker. Lukaku is clearly the ideal signing because he is familiar with the country and will almost certainly score 20 goals every season for the Blues. The time is right to invest in a player like Lukaku. He is just in his prime, and the club should be able to squeeze at least three strong years out of him. The forward, it could be said, is the final piece of the puzzle. With the Blues' competitors entering the market, it's time for the board to spend big on a top-tier center forward.

What's your thought on Lukaku?

Kindly drop your comments below. Thanks.

Sports / How Tuchel Can Fix Two Chelsea Transfer Problems Without Spending Millions by ochuski(m): 8:23pm On Aug 03, 2021
Without spending millions of pounds, Thomas Tuchel can fix two Chelsea transfer problems. Chelsea hoped to add a new right-sided player and a midfielder during the summer transfer window. Following the returns of Mason Mount, Reece James, Ben Chilwell, Jorginho, Emerson, and Thiago Silva yesterday, Chelsea now has all of their first-team players back at Cobham. However, Thomas Tuchel has a new difficulty as a result of this.

Tuchel and his team are now responsible for four different groups of players. The first group is made up of players who returned to Chelsea for the first day of pre-season training. Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, and N'Golo Kante are among the second group, who returned to Cobham on July 24. Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen, who represented Spain and Denmark in the European Championship semi-finals, were in their own two-man group. Then there are the six guys who had their first summer training session yesterday.

"Like I've said many times, it's a really unique preparation because we come off a tough season and a season that didn't have a break in between, so it was very demanding without that break," Tuchel said following his team's 2-1 Mind Series triumph over Arsenal on Sunday. He continues; "Now we had the Euros and the Copa America, and we used [some of] our players till the finals. It's a one-of-a-kind event that's both tough and time-consuming to organize. Because they are all in different physical situations, we will have four different groups on the training pitch tomorrow. We can't just put them all together and see what happens."

Given that Chelsea's season begins in just eight days, the fact that the majority of Tuchel's squad isn’t matched fit is an issue. Several players will be unavailable to start the UEFA Super Cup match against Villerreall in Belfast on August 11 or the Premier League opener against Crystal Palace on August 12. However, this creates an opportunity for others to step in. Tuchel also has two academy graduates in Trevoh Chalobah and Dujon Sterling, who have impressed during Chelsea's pre-season campaign.

On Sunday, Chalobah was perhaps Chelsea's best player against Arsenal. Before being replaced by Jake Clarke-Salter, the 22-year-old played 86 minutes and looked at ease in the middle of the three-man defense. That achievement is all the more impressive given Chalobah's lack of experience in that position at the senior level. With his remarkable range of passing, he's mostly been utilized as the deepest midfielder during his loan appearances, a position in which he can break up play, assist his side preserve possession, and start counterattacks. The first two of these abilities were on display versus Arsenal. Chalobah, who was a regular center-back for Chelsea as a kid, was always at ease receiving the ball, even when he was under pressure. And, while his distribution could have been a little more expansive at times, he made terrific use of the ball. Chalobah has attracted interest from clubs in Belgium and France that will compete in the Europa League this season, according to reports in London earlier this summer. Other parties are also interested.

Sterling, on the other hand, is in a different predicament. The 21-year-old had a terrible 2020, recovering from an injury as well as a career-threatening sickness. He returned at the start of this season but sensibly chose to practice and play for the club's under-23s for the remainder of last season to guarantee he could get back to his best. This has proven to be advantageous this summer. Dujon has pleased Chelsea's academy coaches with his physical condition and eagerness to seize his moment throughout pre-season. He's been mostly utilized on the right side of the back three, which isn't his natural position, but he's looked comfortable. In the victory over Arsenal, one last-ditch challenge on Nicolas Pepe, in particular, drew the eye. Sterling's contract expires next summer, although Chelsea has offered him a new deal, as reported last month. It's unclear what he'll do next.

Tuchel was looking to recruit a new right-sided player to his squad for the 2021/22 season. Because Sterling is a natural winger, he has the potential to be that. If the opportunity does not present itself, he will have no shortage of admirers, with several teams keen to sign academy graduates on loan. Pre-season has shown that Sterling and Chalobah have the ability to make an impact inside the Chelsea group. They may not be certain starters or make 50 or more appearances, but they can undoubtedly contribute during the season.

Tuchel's feelings on the subject are a different story. If he doesn't, it's highly possible that two other clubs will benefit from the hard work Chalobah and Sterling put in during pre-season.

Do you think Sterling and Chalobah are worth it?

Kindly share your comments below. Thanks.

When making signings as a big club, form isn't the only criteria they consider. Big names are considered too because is have a psychological impact on both the opponents and your own team. It gives a scare in front of opponents and causes them to make panic moves that make cause them mistakes and opens up a loophole that will hurt them.

Nice analogy.

Chelsea's pursuit of Romelu Lukaku is expected to come to an end after Inter Milan rejected two bids for the Belgian attacker. Inter Milan is reportedly unwilling to trade their best asset this summer at any price, with Lukaku himself ready to extend his stay with the Serie A champions. Chelsea will have to concentrate their efforts elsewhere in order to improve their frontline ahead of the new season.

Let's take a look at three strikers Chelsea should be targeting this summer to help them win the Premier League:

1. Jonathan David (Lille): Last season, Jonathan David was a key player in Lille's Ligue 1 victory. In 37 appearances, the 21-year-old scored 13 goals, breaking the record for most goals scored by a Canadian in any of Europe's top five leagues. Due to their financial situation, Lille is under pressure to sell some of their best players. Mike Maignan and Boubakary Soumare are among those who have already left, and David could be the next.
According to TSN Sports' Matthew Scianitti, Lille is looking to trade Canadian striker Jonathan David to raise finances due to the club's financial difficulties. David is high on Liverpool's list of potential strikers. Liverpool has been keeping a close eye on the Canadian's progress for a long time.

The Canadian has exceptional speed and dribbling ability. He is direct and enjoys racing into the box to keep defenders on their toes. He isn't the best finisher, but he has plenty of time to improve that facet of his game at the age of 21.

He will likely prove to be a wise long-term investment for Chelsea.

2. Dusan Vlahovic (Fiorentina): The 21-year-old Fiorentina striker is widely regarded as one of the world's most talented young attackers. Last season, Vlahovic made headlines for his prolific performances for Fiorentina, scoring 21 goals in 37 league games, becoming the first Fiorentina player to score at least 16 goals in a single season since Giuseppe Rossi in 2013-14.
Vlahovic, who is 6'3′′, will provide an aerial threat to Chelsea, which has been missing since Olivier Giroud's departure; last season, the Serbian won 3.1 aerial duels per game. He's also technically sound and able to communicate effectively with his colleagues.

3. Danny Ings (Southampton): Given that he is in the final year of his contract, Danny Ings will be available at a bargain. Ings has been in outstanding form for Southampton in recent seasons, attracting interest from a number of prominent European clubs.
In 100 appearances for Southampton, the 29-year-old England international has 46 goals and 10 assists, remarkable stats for a team that has finished in the bottom half of the standings the previous three seasons. Ings failed during his last term at a major club, scoring four goals in 25 appearances for Liverpool, and he'll be eager to show he has what it takes to succeed at the top level.

Do you think these strikers are a good option?

Which other striker might you consider a better option?

Drop your comments below. Thanks.

Chelsea Midfielder Conor Gallagher Set To Move To Crystal Palace

From their time together at Borussia Dortmund, the Chelsea head coach and Arsenal captain had a tight relationship. Thomas Tuchel is not a head coach who keeps a physical or figurative distance from his players. And it's why he's been able to form such strong ties with important members of his squads. Tuchel has been upfront and honest with his players throughout his management career, which has led him from Mainz to Chelsea via Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain. He's also never shied away from providing a hearty embrace to a member of his squad when the situation calls for it.

The 47-year-old is also adept at dealing with a variety of personalities. Those who require a lot of encouragement to reach their full potential receive it. Others are treated with greater detachment. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, on the other hand, is a unique player. Arsenal's captain is a difficult player to control. Mikel Arteta has learned this during his time with the club; last season, the forward was benched for the North London derby after arriving late.

Tuchel, on the other hand, has a close relationship with the Gabonese international, which they developed at Borussia Dortmund. Tuchel remarked in May, "It was a sheer pleasure to have him in the squad back in the days at Dortmund. Aubameyang was a superb striker and finisher on the pitch." But he was also a tremendous team player off the field. In two years, I don't believe he missed a single training session. It's possible he arrived five minutes late on the practice field; anything can happen to him. But if he does this, he's in a rush, he apologizes, he's sorry, and he's still smiling. When we wanted him to be on time, we told him the meeting was at 10.45 a.m., but it was actually at 11 a.m., so there was a good chance he would be there with everyone else,” He stated.

Tuchel continues: “It isn't the most serious issue. But keep in mind that he was also a consummate professional who never missed a single training session. It was a pleasure to work with him; he always had a smile on his face and was a really trustworthy individual. He's a little insane, but it's a good kind of crazy. We keep in touch on a regular basis and exchange texts when one of us has a huge win. He'll always be my player in certain respects, and he feels like he'll always be my player, so you want him to succeed and have fun wherever they are."

Tuchel and Aubameyang's connection was on full display at the end of last season when the two spent several minutes talking following Arsenal's victory at Stamford Bridge.

And there was yet another proof of the pair's connection at the Emirates on Sunday. Tuchel began making his way over to the touchline to take his spot in the dugout after giving a few of his Chelsea players instructions on the pitch ahead of the second half. The sides were both lined up and ready to restart when Tuchel spotted Aubameyang, whom he approached and hugged before offering a few words to the 32-year-old.

It was a good exchange between the two, and it just goes to show that Chelsea's head coach is one of the best at creating relationships with his players.

Sports / Arsenal's Predicted 4-2-3-1 Line-up Against Chelsea Today by ochuski(m): 9:28am On Aug 01, 2021
Today, Sunday, August 1, 2021, Arsenal will play Chelsea in a pre-season friendly. The game is part of The Mind Series, which promotes greater mental wellness. The mini-tournament also includes Tottenham Hotspur. On August 4 and 8, they will face Chelsea and Arsenal, respectively.

Stats gathered from Transfermarkt show that the predicted formation for the Arsenal team is 4-2-3-1.

Line-up Predicted: In midweek, Bernd Leno made his pre-season debut against Watford. For the London derby, the German is expected to start in goal. At the end of the previous season, Calum Chambers surpassed Hector Bellerin in the pecking order for the right-back position.

With Kieran Tierney beginning at the other end, he is expected to receive the start. Since his arrival, Ben White has only had one training session.

The center-involvement back's could be limited to a cameo appearance. As long as Gabriel Magalhaes is out, Pablo Mari is expected to partner Rob Holding in central defense.

Granit Xhaka's future has been a hot topic this season, however, it has now been revealed that he may be offered a new contract.

Xhaka, like White, has just arrived for training. In midfield, spectators should see Albert Sambi Lokonga alongside Thomas Partey for the first time.

Saka has been given a long break following his Euro 2020 exploits. Nicolas Pepe is expected to fill in on the right-wing in his absence.

Smith, Emile Rowe appears to be a lock to start at number 10, with captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the opposite flank.

Alexandre Lacazette's future is still up in the air since his contract is up in 11 months. He has continued to participate in pre-season activities.

With 17 goals last season, the Frenchman was the club's highest scorer. He looks like he'll be in front of Eddie Nketiah and Folarin Balogun in the line-up.

How do you think Arsenal might line up against Chelsea today?

Spending is inextricably tied to success, whether football fans like it or not. The more money a team spends on players and wages, the more likely it is to win trophies. Okay, every now and again there's a miracle story. For example, Leicester's complete squad cost under £54.4 million when they won the Premier League in 2015/16. To put that in perspective, Manchester City paid that much on Kevin De Bruyne in the summer of 2015. But that is precisely why these tales are miraculous. That kind of stuff doesn't happen very often. Instead, the team with the largest budget is more likely to succeed.

The world's most powerful clubs will always have large finances. Manchester United, Barcelona, and Real Madrid are among the most popular clubs in the world, with enormous cash streams. Other teams, on the other hand, that do not have the same global appeal must rely on their owners to invest extensively in order to compete at the highest level.

Owners have been funding clubs in recent years, allowing them to ascend through the ranks to heights they previously couldn't achieve. But, in the sport of football, who are the wealthiest owners?

Below is a list of the 10 wealthiest football club owners compiled by The Daily Star that is fascinating to read.

10. Robert Kraft ($6 billion) – New England Revolution: Kraft is the CEO of the Kraft Group, a privately held conglomerate with interests in professional sports, manufacturing, and real estate development. He also owns the New England Patriots of the National Football League.

9. Zhang Jindong ($7.6 billion)– Inter Milan: Before his company, the Suning Holdings Group became the majority owner of Inter in 2016, Jindong made his billions from home appliances. Last season, the Chinese businessman oversaw Inter's first Serie A triumph in 11 years.

8. Nasser Al-Khelaifi ($8 billion) – Paris Saint-Germain: Al Khelaifi is the founder and CEO of the media company beIN. His fortune aided in the recruitment of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe to the club.

7. Stan Kroenke ($9 billion) – Arsenal: The American also owns the NBA's Denver Nuggets and the NFL's Los Angeles Rams. He became the main shareholder in the Emirates in 2018, but he hasn't exactly spent his billions there.

6. Philip Anschutz ($10 billion) – Los Angeles Galaxy: Anschutz was a founding member of the Major League Soccer (MLS), and his money has helped bring players like David Beckham and Steven Gerrard to the league. He's dabbled in real estate, energy, and the entertainment sector, among other things.

5. Roman Abramovich ($12 billion) — Chelsea: Abramovich's ownership of Chelsea in 2003 revolutionized Premier League football, and he has led the club to success. He doesn't appear to be interested in cutting back on his spending.

4. Dietmar Hopp ($13 billion) – TSG 1899 Hoffenheim: Hopp has helped his hometown club become a fixture in the Bundesliga. He is Germany's seventh richest man and helped fund a new 30,000-seat stadium.

3. Andrea Agnelli ($14 billion) – Juventus: Agnelli's grandparents and father were also owners of Juventus, having made their fortunes by producing Ferrari automobiles. The club has been in the family since 1947 and has enjoyed a lot of success.

2. Dietrich Mateschitz ($19 billion) – RB Leipzig: The Austrian millionaire is a co-owner of...wait for it...Red Bull. Leipzig, which was founded in 2009, is now challenging European powers and has advanced to the Champions League semi-finals in the 2019/20 season.

1. Sheikh Mansour ($20 billion) – Manchester City: The proprietor of Man City is the richest of them all. The club has won five Premier League crowns as a result of his investment, and they are still searching for their first Champions League victory. He also owns additional clubs through the City network organization, including MLS side New York City and A-league side Melbourne City.

'This Is The Next Step': Thomas Tuchel Sends Message To Chelsea Star Kai Havertz

Sports / 5 Transfers Chelsea Could Complete Before Their Opening EPL Game by ochuski(m): 11:42am On Jul 31, 2021
Despite the paucity of transfer activity so far this summer, it is believed that Roman Abramovich and the Chelsea board of directors have a few plans up their sleeves. The new season of 2021/22 is rapidly coming. Chelsea, on the other hand, has yet to make a move in the summer transfer window. Following the Blues' Champions League victory over Manchester City last season, there is a lot of excitement surrounding Thomas Tuchel's team heading into the new season. And there's a strong possibility they'll be City's main rivals for the Premier League title when the new season begins in two weeks. Chelsea fans, on the other hand, will be looking at some fresh faces that their club can add to the squad in order to boost their depth ahead of the big game.

Below are five players Chelsea could sign before the season kicks off on August 14 against London rivals Crystal Palace.

1. Erling Haaland: The Blues have been prominently linked with Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland. Thomas Tuchel is keen on bringing a high-scoring striker to Stamford Bridge ahead of the new season, and Haaland is his top priority. Dortmund, on the other hand, are hesitant to allow one of their finest signings leave after such a successful period with the club. Chelsea may be able to raise £112 million to complete the transaction, which would be a big show of commitment.

2. Saul Niguez: Saul Niguez could potentially be on the west London side's radar. According to reports, Thomas Tuchel has expressed an interest in the 26-year-old, and the Blues have made contact with his representatives. Guez will be free to leave Atletico Madrid this summer, and Chelsea is eager to be first in line to sign him. The midfielder is extremely adaptable and versatile, which might be beneficial to Tuchel's Chelsea. Niguez’s quick acceleration, muscular frame, and physical presence are just a few of his standout features.

3. Declan Rice: It has been reported that the Blues have been monitoring Declan Rice's potential transfer to Chelsea since last summer's transfer window, with Thomas Tuchel in particular interested in bringing the 22-year-old in to bolster his midfield options. Rice is valued at roughly £60-£70 million by Chelsea, but West Ham is adamant about keeping the Euro 2020 finalist. The bargain, though, maybe too good for the London competitors to pass up. Despite West Ham's lack of interest, the Blues will not be afraid to make a move for the teenager. Tuchel would have a decent alternative midfield option in the feisty and tenacious midfielder.

4. Miralem Pjani: Chelsea is mulling a loan bid for Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjani. After joining Barcelona from Juventus 12 months ago, the 31-year-old has struggled at the club. Despite the midfielder's failed spell at the Spanish giants, Thomas Tuchel could be viewing this as a possible loan move. As a backup in the midfield, Pjani might give extra help and cover for the Blues.

5. Niklas Sule: Thomas Tuchel is looking to bolster his defense for the upcoming season, and Niklas Sule could be the man to help. The 25-year-old has been extensively linked with a move to Chelsea, and talks between Bayern Munich and Chelsea are said to be ongoing. Sule made 16 Bundesliga starts last season, but his manager was not happy with his fitness; yet, his powerful passing, blocking, and crossing skills may be of special interest to Thomas Tuchel as he looks to bolster his squad for the 2021/22 season.

Chelsea fans will be hoping to see some of these acquisitions because the summer transfer window has been devoid of interesting transfer activity. After winning the Champions League last season, Blues fans will be hoping to see some new faces on the first day of the season when the West London club hosts Crystal Palace at home.

Kindly share your opinion on the players mentioned.

Will they be a good fit for Chelsea?

Sports / Opinion: Could We See Chelsea Use 3-5-2 Formation This Season? by ochuski(m): 9:55pm On Jul 30, 2021
In addition to all of the speculation about Chelsea's transfer targets and final team for the season, Thomas Tuchel's tactical intentions have gotten a lot of attention. The freshly extended Blues boss has a history of switching formations over the years, so it's understandable that English supporters are curious after not seeing this side of the German last year.

Of course, a large part of Chelsea's possible plans revolves around the players the team signs this summer. At the moment, there is a little buzz about an attacking signing, with most of the attention focused on Jules Kounde, Declan Rice, and Aurelien Tchouameni. Last year, Tuchel threw everything he had into the wall in terms of personnel to see if he could get the attack to click, but nothing worked. As a result, certain formational changes may be in the works for the following season.

This season, could we see Chelsea play in a 3-5-2 formation?

The 3-5-2 is one of the most common proposals currently circulating. While there haven't been many signs of it being integrated on Tuchel's end, it has a lot of advantages. It keeps the Blues in a three-at-the-back configuration, which is crucial. The team's willingness to put people like Lewis Baker around the backline in order to make things work throughout the preseason hints to this defensive set-up remaining regardless.

Chelsea has looked better with this shape at the back in recent years, so this is an encouraging indicator. Furthermore, it's a novel concept that might work with or without aggressive additions. As previously said, the Blues appear to be no closer to securing a No. 9. According to his club, Erling Haaland is not for sale, and Romelu Lukaku is not interested in leaving Inter Milan, at least not openly. Tuchel may have to make do with his present center-forward depth, which includes Timo Werner, Tammy Abraham, Armando Broja, and Kai Havertz. Some of these forwards would benefit from a 3-5-2 formation.

The German combo of Havertz and Werner might play off one other in the advanced spaces if Tuchel opts for a more unusual strike force. Werner is particularly effective as a second striker, exploiting space created by one of his teammates. It just so happens that Havertz, his proposed tactical partner, is an expert at locating space. Havertz's role would be comparable to Thomas Muller's, which he has played for Germany numerous times over the years: a free-roaming attacker charged with getting into tight spaces that either make the center backs uncomfortable or drag them out of position. These instructions would also bring the 22-year-old forward, who is one of the Blues' greatest finishers, a lot closer to the goal than he was last season.

The 3-5-2 formation isn't just for teams that don't have any signings. If Marina Granovskaia and Tuchel can tear Lukaku away from the fashion capital, the formation in question will suit him as well. Lukaku has had the most successful time of his career at Inter, where he has played alongside Lautaro Martinez. Despite the fact that Werner and Martinez have significantly different playing styles, Werner and Lukaku's relationship could succeed under Martinez's coaching due to their striking similarities.

All of the focus has been on the front line, but what about the rest of the field? The rest of the formation would remain basically unchanged. The backline is unaffected, the midfield pivot is unaffected, and the wing-backs are unaffected. The elimination of wingers is the only drawback. Chelsea has recently suffered from injury troubles in this position, so this isn't as much of a concern as it could have been in the past. Furthermore, under Tuchel, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic have demonstrated that they are capable of playing the more restrained role of wingback. Hakim Ziyech is the odd man out here.

Mason Mount is now free. Mount could play the free-flowing advanced midfielder role, completing passing diamonds in build-up play all over the field. Many people will be alarmed at the prospect of the Englishman playing as a lone No. 10, although in principle, his role would be far from that. In fact, it would be basically the same role he now plays in the Blues' starting lineup.

This isn't to suggest that the formational change isn't necessary. Tuchel may have his own thoughts about how to improve the team's offensive difficulties. Werner and Havertz could also make an impact this season, as many fans (including me) anticipate. They've now had a full preseason and know what to expect in the English Premier League this season. As long as Tuchel has the German attacking combination at his disposal, a simple tweak to change this side into a 3-5-2 is always a possibility; the question is whether he'll follow this road or continue trying to squeeze a round peg into a square hole over the forthcoming season.

What is your take on Chelsea using the 3-5-2 formation this season?

According to BBC Sports News, Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher is expected to join fellow Premier League team Crystal Palace on loan. The under-21 England international, who joined Chelsea as a child but has yet to play for the club in a competitive match, is ready for his fourth loan spell since turning professional. He started the 2019-20 season with Charlton Athletic before moving to Swansea City in January.

He had his first taste of top-flight football last season with West Bromwich Albion, making 28 league appearances as the team was relegated. Gallagher, who styles himself as a box-to-box midfielder, was also reportedly heard out by Leeds United before deciding to join Palace, according to sources. Patrick Vieira, who took over as manager at Selhurst Park from Roy Hodgson earlier this month, is one of the best midfielders in Premier League history.

Gallagher is the second player from Chelsea to join Palace in less than 24 hours, following the £18 million signings of English center-back Marc Guehi. Crystal Palace themselves have had a busy transfer window, with the £17 million signings of Denmark defender Joachim Andersen from Lyon earlier this month.

Sports / Official: Goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli Joins Chelsea FC by ochuski(m): 1:44pm On Jul 29, 2021
Chelsea FC's official website has announced that goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli has joined the club. Bettinelli joins Chelsea FC after being released by Fulham, and he will bolster the goalkeeping options of the team following the departure of Willy Caballero. The goalkeeper spent more than a decade at Craven Cottage, making 120 games for the Whites while also representing England at the Under-21 level.

''It's always been a wonderful club,'' Bettinelli said after signing a two-year contract at Stamford Bridge. He adds: ''I'm familiar with the neighborhood, so coming over to this side has long been a dream of mine, and it's now come true. There were some discussions a few years back when I was younger, but they never materialized for some reason, but I'm here now. I'm incredibly happy to be a part of it, and I'm looking forward to impressing and assisting the team in any way I can.''

Bettinelli began his career at Fulham when he was 14 years old, rising through the ranks before making his club debut following the club's relegation to the Championship in 2014/15. Prior to it, he had spent time on loan with Dartford in non-league and Accrington Stanley in League Two, acquiring senior football experience as a young goalkeeper and winning the Crown Ground Young Player of the Year award. Following the departure of David Stockdale in the summer of 2014, Bettinelli returned to Fulham and quickly established himself as the club's first-choice goalkeeper, making 45 appearances across all competitions and earning his first call-up to the England Under-21 squad.

Despite entering the season as the club's number one, the Londoner suffered knee ligament damage in the third game and was forced to sit out for the next seven months. He returned in March and started the final nine games of the season, though Fulham's promotion hopes remained bleak as they concluded the season in 20th place.

Bettinelli played in both legs of the play-off semi-final against Reading as the Whites came up short, but he made amends 12 months later as Slavisa Jokanovic's team eventually secured a Premier League return with a victory over Aston Villa. Fulham kept three clean sheets in three playoff games, thus his contributions were especially essential during those season-defining games.

Bettinelli returned to the Premier League in August 2018, making his top-flight debut in a 4-2 win against Burnley, the first of a run of seven consecutive league appearances. The goalkeeper's form was rewarded with a call-up to Gareth Southgate's England team during the first international break of the season, an achievement he replicated the following month in October, but without making an appearance for the Three Lions.

Despite a good start to the season, Sergio Rico was handed the starting job for the balance of the season after six games without a win. The Whites only won seven league games and were relegated to the Championship immediately. After another 14 appearances in 2019/20 due to injury, he spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough, where he made 42 appearances and kept 13 clean sheets for a team that ended 10th in the second division.

Sports / 5 Things To Learn From Chelsea’s Win Against AFC Bournemouth by ochuski(m): 10:35am On Jul 28, 2021
At the Vitality Stadium, Thomas Tuchel's squad won their pre-season match against Scott Parker's Bournemouth. Neither team threatened to test the keepers in the opening half. For both teams, Tammy Abraham and Dominc Solanke came close. Both teams made numerous substitutions in the second half. In the 66th minute, Emiliano Marcondes gave Bournemouth the lead. Armando Broja equalized for the Blues just six minutes later. For Thomas Tuchel's team, Ike Ugbo scored the game-winning goal in the 77th minute.

Here are five things we can learn from Chelsea's win against Bournemouth:

1. Armando Broja is a name to keep an eye on:

Thomas Tuchel started Tammy Abraham upfront in the pre-season match against Bournemouth. Another youngster, however, made an impression on the Blues. Many Chelsea supporters were impressed by Albanian international Armando Broja. Broja was eager to get involved in the game right away after coming off the bench. His ability to hold up the ball and press the Bournemouth backline was unrivaled. To top it off, Armando scored the equalizer for the Blues, capping off a strong showing from the youthful attacker.

2. For Callum Hudson-Odoi, it's now or never:
All eyes were on Callum Hudson-Odoi heading into the match against Bournemouth. Chelsea supporters have always had high expectations for the youthful winger. Hudson-passion Odoi's and determination in training, according to reports, has impressed Tuchel. Callum was one of the Blues' standout performers in the match against Bournemouth. Callum posed a serious threat in the future. Hudson-Odoi was constantly eager to beat his man and produce the game-winning goal. When it comes to Hudson-future, Odoi's it's safe to say he'll be a significant part of Thomas' plans this season.

3. An opportunity for the periphery players to shine

It's usually a great time for out-of-favor players to come in and show what they're made of during pre-season. Tuchel's team featured Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Baba Rahman, and Ross Barkley in tonight's encounter. With Gilmour's departure, there may be an opportunity for one of Loftus-Cheek or Barkley to step in and play for the Blues. Rahman was a menace down the left-wing when he came on in the second half, and he assisted on the Blues' equalizer.

4. Conor Gallagher might require another loan period.

Conor Gallagher was the focus of attention in the build-up to the game, as Blues fans hoped to see the young midfielder perform. Gallagher was a bright spot in Chelsea's midfield, especially in the first half. The youngster was ready to take the next step forward and assist his teammates, as well as cover the backline. However, the kid was exposed at times in the second half. That was merely due to the fact that Gallagher was the deepest midfielder and had no other midfielders to assist him. Gallagher, on the other hand, appears to require another loan spell away from the club simply to gain additional playing time.

5. Will there be a formation change this season?

Tuchel has had the summer to work out what is best for his team moving ahead, given this is his first full season in command. It was rumored that the Blues switched from 3-4-3 to 4-2-4 in the second part of their game against Peterborough. Chelsea started the game with a 3-4-3 formation but finished with a 3-5-2 formation. It'll be intriguing to see what Tuchel does with the team moving ahead, as it's clear that he'll want to go into the season with a plan A through plan Z.

Sports / 'this Is The Next Step': Thomas Tuchel Sends Message To Chelsea Star Kai Havertz by ochuski(m): 10:07am On Jul 28, 2021
Thomas Tuchel has delivered his verdict on Kai Havertz ahead of his second full season at Chelsea football club. Thomas Tuchel believes that Kai Havertz has a lot of room for improvement as he prepares for his second season with Chelsea FC. After arriving at Stamford Bridge in a big-money transfer from Bayer Leverkusen last summer, the Germany international had a good first season in England.

Havertz, 22, struggled to adjust to life in the Premier League after his arrival, but his form improved in the second part of the season once Tuchel was appointed as Frank Lampard's replacement in January. Last season, the German scored four goals and added three assists in 27 Premier League games, including the game-winning goal in their Champions League final victory against Manchester City in May.

Havertz subsequently went on to play four times for Germany at Euro 2020, scoring two goals for Joachim Low's team before they were eliminated in the final 16 by England. Tuchel says Havertz can be happy with his start in England, but he expects more from him next season.

Tuchel said in an interview with Chelsea FC's website about Havertz's performances at Euro 2020: "For him personally, he played a good Euros. In the German team, he was a continuous threat for the other players to score. Of course, he had a fantastic finish to our season, and despite the fact that the German team did not fare well at the Euros, I believe he can be pleased with the first steps he took here in England and the consequences for him. There are things that can be improved, things that can be done to keep the level up high, where he can play and has proven that he can play, this is the next step,” says the coach.

Chelsea FC will begin their Premier League campaign on August 14 at home against Crystal Palace.

Kepa Arrizabalaga, Chelsea's goalkeeper, has expressed regret to the club's previous manager, Maurizio Sarri, for not understanding him during the club's Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester City in 2019. This was said by Kepa after finally speaking about the unusual situation that occurred during Chelsea's Carabao Cup final defeat to Man City at Wembley Stadium two years ago.

After 120 minutes of goalless football, Chelsea was defeated 4-3 on penalties by Man City. When Kepa fell down injured late in the second half of extra time, Sarri called on goalkeeper Willy Caballero to replace him, but the Spain international refused to come off, saying he was fine. The altercation caused a brief halt in play before referee Jon Moss confronted Sarri and resumed play.

After more than two years, Kepa has written a thorough account of the incident for The Players' Tribune, admitting that he should have followed Sarri's orders. “Everything was a big misunderstanding,” Kepa explained. He continued, “In extra time, Manchester City dominated the game, and there was barely any time left until penalties. I felt something in my leg after making a save and phoned for physio to make sure it wasn't anything serious. Above all, I wanted to make sure that we could all catch our breath as a group. All of a sudden, I noticed that Maurizio Sarri had sent Willy Caballero to warm up. He assumed I wouldn't be able to continue. My main goal, right or not, had been to waste time in order to assist the team. I didn't have any major issues that would prevent me from continuing to play. I attempted to communicate that I was fine, that I wasn't hurt. But, given that we were at Wembley Stadium in front of almost 80,000 people, Sarri was certain to misunderstand me. I should have come off when the fourth official lifted the board, and I'm sorry I didn't. I was wrong, and I apologize to everyone involved, for Maurizio Sarri, whom I appeared to have belittled in public, for Willy, a teammate and a consummate professional, and for all my teammates and Chelsea fans who had to put up with everything - all the noise generated during the game and in the days that followed. I had a conversation with the boss, and we discussed how we each saw the situation and cleared the air.”

According to news in England, Chelsea FC is preparing an initial proposal for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice. Metro News reports that Chelsea FC has been tracking Rice since last summer when Thomas Tuchel's predecessor Frank Lampard was interested in signing the England international. According to the story, Tuchel is still interested in signing the West Ham midfielder to improve his midfield options ahead of the 2021-22 season. According to the same report, Chelsea FC is looking to sign Rice for £60 million to £70 million, despite West Ham's valuation of the Euro 2020 finalist at £100 million.

West Ham United does not want to trade Rice during the current transfer window, according to Metro News, but Chelsea FC will not be deterred from making an opening bid for Rice.

Rice began his childhood career with Chelsea FC before moving to West Ham United in 2015. According to the media outlet, Rice would welcome the opportunity to return to the west London club this summer. According to the article, Rice is concerned about West Ham's objectives for the forthcoming campaign. In 32 Premier League appearances last season, the West Ham midfielder scored two goals and added one assist.

Sports / Chelsea And Borussia Dortmund In Pursuit Of Sassuolo Attacker by ochuski(m): 8:22am On Jul 25, 2021
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund are among the clubs interested in signing Sassuolo attacker Domenico Berardi this summer. The Italy international had a strong showing at the European Championships, recording two assists and assisting on several other goals. He's been linked with a move away from Sassuolo in search of a larger challenge, but he won't come cheap, with the Serie A club demanding at least €40 million.

Chelsea and Dortmund are both interested in signing him. Milan, who have long admired him, has withdrawn from the contest to sign him. Christian Pulisic, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, and Callum Hudson-Odoi provide ample wide attacking options for the Blues. However, there has been conjecture over Werner and Ziyech's futures. A move to Milan has been suggested for the latter. Nothing is set in stone at the moment, but the club is always on the lookout for talented players. If there are many player exits, Berardi may be pursued.

Dortmund is on the verge of signing Donyell Malen from PSV Eindhoven, who will bolster their assault following the departure of Jadon Sancho. However, due to the spare finances leftover from Sancho's departure, a deal for Berardi could be considered before the transfer window shuts. While Malen is a striker by trade, Berardi has spent the majority of his career on the right side of the field, and he would be a comparable substitute for Sancho.
The 26-year-old had a fantastic season with Sassuolo last season, scoring 17 goals and assisting eight times in 30 games in Serie A.

According to the football news website Daily Express, Arsenal is willing to satisfy Chelsea FC striker Tammy Abraham's pay demands. Arsenal is very desperate to sign the 23-year-old this summer.
Abraham has always scored for Chelsea football club and has demonstrated his talent when he was on loan at Bristol City, Swansea City, and Aston Villa. However, Chelsea FC manager Thomas Tuchel is not impressed, and the attacker was left out of several matchday squads last season.

Abraham's pay demands could be a stumbling factor in his move to Arsenal. He is currently paid £80,000 per week and is seeking £125,000. As Mikel Arteta tries to bolster his attacking options, Arsenal has made it plain during conversations that they are willing to satisfy his demands. Abraham, who has 30 goals in 82 appearances for Chelsea, will provide backup and competition for Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

Sports / Peart-harris Leaves Chelsea For Brentford by ochuski(m): 8:57pm On Jul 23, 2021
Myles Peart-Harris, a teenage midfielder, has joined Brentford after leaving Chelsea. Peart-Harris joins Premier League new boys as the latest Chelsea kid to depart. As he makes the short journey across west London, the 18-year-old midfielder has signed a four-year contract with the Bees.

The highly-rated 18-year-old has signed a four-year contract with the Premier League newcomers, joining Marc Guehi and Lewis Bate in breaking connections with Stamford Bridge. He spent over a decade with the Blues but is now taking on a fresh task with the Bees as they aim to return to the top tier of English football.

“Myles is a highly bright young player and an exciting addition for us,” Brentford manager Thomas Frank said on the club's official website. The manager adds; "In our system, he is projected to play as an eight, and he matches the position profile wonderfully. He's a dynamic midfielder who likes to push the ball forward. On the ball, Myles is a fantastic player. He has the ability to score goals and provide assists for us. He has a knack for getting in the penalty area at just the correct moment. There's also a lot of room for growth for our coaches to work with. We believe there will be many areas where he can improve, notably defensively, but he possesses some excellent qualities, and we believe we can help him reach his full potential."

"Over recent seasons, we have made sure we have sought as many opportunities as possible to offer young players an opportunity to play and develop," said Phil Giles, Brentford's co-director of football. He continues: "even if we are now playing at a higher level, we want to stick to that principle. With that in mind, we're excited to see Myles earn his chance and hopefully be another young player to make a difference at Brentford."

Peart-Harris will not be the only Chelsea kid to go this summer, as more deals are in the works. Ian Maatsen, a 19-year-old Dutch left-back, is expected to join Coventry on a season-long loan, according to reports. Aidy Viveash, a former Blues youth coach, is now with the Sky Blues and has helped to persuade the defender that a period in the Championship would be ideal for his development.

Chelsea football club continues to put in the hard effort training at Picturesque Carton House in preparation for a rumored friendly against unknown opposition at an unknown time on the second day in Dublin. It will not be televised or streamed, which is disappointing.

According to numerous Instagram posts by various players, those who have been absent from camp so far such as Mateo Kovacic, are slated to start coming in slowly, giving those in the camp a few more days to impress and possibly stay with the club beyond this week. Hopefully, all team members will put in their best performance to impress the club.

Only a few hundred photos are permitted to leave the super-secret training camp, so here are some pictures from Wednesday's training session, which included some time spent in the ice tub time machines, as well as some sprinting and even some kicking.

Check them out and enjoy the view.

Sports / Transfer News: Chelsea Is Likely To Offer A New Deal To Defender by ochuski(m): 7:23am On Jul 22, 2021
Chelsea is allegedly planning to start talks with Dujon Sterling about extending his current contract. According to Goal, the Blues want to reward Sterling for his hard work and perseverance following his extended injury layoff with a lucrative contract.

Due to a nasty sickness and a hamstring condition, the 21-year-old was forced to miss 13 months of action. He returned to Chelsea training lately and is currently attending Thomas Tuchel's pre-season camp. Tuchel has reportedly been impressed by the young defender's performances and attitude. Sterling seemed to want to stay at Chelsea, the club he joined as a child.

His contract expires in June, and Championship clubs are already circling for his signature. Chelsea believes they must reciprocate because of his determination to stay at Stamford Bridge. Unfortunately for the Blues, not all of their academy graduates are loyal to the club. Marc Guehi recently joined Crystal Palace, while Lewis Bate is on the verge of joining Leeds, and Tino Livramento and Myles Peart-Harris are also on the verge of signing off.

Chelsea's hierarchy has been caught off guard by such a quick exodus of young players, which they wish to avoid at all costs. The first step is to restrain Sterling; now they must hope that others would follow suit.

Sports / Transfer News: Eden Hazard Offered To Chelsea by ochuski(m): 11:22pm On Jul 21, 2021
Eden Hazard was almost thrown out of Real Madrid at the conclusion of last season, especially after he was spotted socializing with the opposition(Chelsea FC) after their Champions League defeat at Stamford Bridge, but it appears that the media trolls have moved on, at least for the time being. Meanwhile, Eden Hazard traveled to the Euros with Belgium, where he performed admirably until he sustained yet another injury, and Belgium was defeated in the quarterfinals by eventual champions Italy.

So, in his Real Madrid dream-turned-nightmare, what's next for the former Chelsea superstar? Probably more of the same. However, Diario AS (via Sport Witness) reports that the 30-year-old has been “offered back” to Chelsea.

It's unknown what terms this alleged offer was made on, but one thing is clear: Chelsea doesn't need a winger tight now and even according to the story, this will be a very difficult proposition.
