In my foraging through Quora.com, I came across these Laws which I'll like to share with you guys here. Happy reading and reflection. 1. Murphy's Law - The more you fear something happening, the more likely it is to occur. 2. Kidlin's Law - If you write a problem down clearly and specifically, you have solved half of it. 3. Gilbert's Law - When you take on a task, finding the best ways to achieve the desired result is always your responsibility. 4. Wilson's Law - If you prioritize knowledge and intelligence, money will continue to come. 5. Falkland's Law - If you don't have to make a decision about something, then don't decide. 6. Parkinson's Law - Work expands to fill the time available for its completion. 7. Hofstadter's Law - It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's Law. 8. Sturgeon's Law - Ninety percent of everything is crud. 9. Peter Principle - In a hierarchy, every employee tends to rise to his level of incompetence. 10. In 150 years, none of us reading this today will still be alive. Seventy to 100 percent of everything we are fighting for now will be completely forgotten. I emphasize the word COMPLETELY. If we go back 150 years, to 1872, none of the people who carried the weight of the world on their shoulders then are still alive today. Most of us reading this will find it hard to imagine the face of someone from that time. Let’s stop for a moment and think about how some of them betrayed their relatives, selling them into slavery for a piece of mirror. Some killed family members just for a piece of land, yam tubers, shells or a pinch of salt. Where are those yams, shells, mirror or salt that they boasted about now? It may seem ridiculous to us today, but that’s how human beings often are, especially when it comes to money, power or feeling important! Even if you think the internet age will preserve your memory, take Michael Jackson as an example. Michael Jackson died in 2009, just 13 years ago. Imagine the influence Michael Jackson had around the world when he was alive. How many young people today remember him with admiration, if they even know him? In 150 years, his name, when mentioned, will not mean anything to many people. Let's take life slowly, no one will leave this world alive... The land you are fighting for and are willing to kill for, someone left it, that person is dead, rotten and forgotten. This will also be your fate. In 150 years, none of the vehicles or phones we are using today to brag about will be relevant. Biko, take life lightly! Let love guide us. Let's be genuinely happy for each other. No grudges, no gossip. No jealousy. No comparisons. Life is not a competition. At the end of the day, we will all cross over to the other side. It’s just a matter of who gets there first, but we will all get there one day. Unknown Memorial in Ghana - Sculptor: Kwame Akoto-Bamfo Source: Quora.com |
Hezbollah ordered pagers from a Taiwanese company, which had them made in Europe. Israeli agents intercepted the devices in Europe, adding explosives near the battery with a remote trigger. Yesterday evening, all pagers received a message at the same time appearing to be from Hezbollah leadership, but it was sent by Mossad. The explosion was timed to occur seconds after the message, allowing the operatives enough time to pull the pagers out to read. Those who took the pagers out to read were blinded, and those who didn’t lost their private parts. Source:Quora.com |

Is the problem from the bad boys or the so called loyal girls? The "good girl" is the one to choose. If she allows a bad boy, who is to blame? If she gets burn, she is responsible. |

The father answers, “Well, son, I guess one day you’ll need to know anyway! Your mom and I first connected in a chat room on Yahoo. Then I arranged a date via e-mail with your mom, and we met at a cyber café. We sneaked into a secluded room and Googled each other. There, your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive. As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither of us had used a firewall. Since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a little pop-up appeared that said: 'You’ve got male!'” Credit goes to to the original owner |

Date a lady who can add something meaningful to your life. Things like: financial intelligence, emotional intelligence, spiritual intelligence. 6. Date someone who's capable of managing multiplying whatever she has and the ones you give to her, your soul will be at peace! Not someone that will always be at the receiving end. 7. Didier Drogba, the former Chelsea striker went on a vacation at a luxurious beach hotel. He noticed all manner of luxurious cars coming in with billionaires to attend seminars. These seminars include topics like. 1. How to build generational wealth 2. Understanding African Economics Climates 3. How to take advantage of the social media to build a lasting brand. 4. Etc. These billionaires pay thousands of US dollars to attend this training. Drogba begins to wonder, why are they coming to take this training of a few hours to a few days?. To quench his curiosity, he approached one of the Arabia billionaires and asked "sir, you are already a billionaire, what do you need all these training for?" The billionaire answered, "I recognize you, you are Drogba, the former Super Chelsea striker, do you stop training because of the former goals you scored?" It became clearer! The rich keep learning and improving themselves to manage and grow their wealth, but the poor minded fellows wouldn't see a reason for fresh ideas. Every year, Dangote, Tony Elumelu and all the billionaires you know go for courses. I heard one big business mogul in Nigeria said he spent $100,000 for a special one-week course with a Harvard professor. They can't be at the top of their game without keeping abreast with recent knowledge. The brain you water grows greener. - Amaechi Prince Chekwy Source: Quora.com |
