Who pays for accomodation and feeding?
What about personal spending money?
They will look if trip will empty your bank acc. (This is bad!)
So what will employer pay and
What will you have to pay (proove funds for)

funkybaby: the land receipt is fine as long as it has your name on it.

the personal statement should be typed not handwritten and it should state what your name, what you do,the name of the company you work for, do, your role (job title), how long you've worked for them, your take home pay (income plus allowances. you can also include your employment offer letter with your application), what the company stands to benefit from sending you to the conference, etc.

also mention you will not be breaking any immigration rule and you will return back to naija at the end of the conference

1.5m and above is more reasonable.

Do you have savings? Share docs? Fixed deposit? Any landed property?

Did you include a personal statement with your previous application?

You are single which is more reason why your bank statements and your personal circumstances ( the company you work, how long you've worked with them, your role, your salary) will be major determining factors the ECO will consider. If all these are okay, then you have greater chances of getting your application approved. Marriage and kids are not criteria that must be met in order to be eligible for a visit visa.

Vicjustice: I think so far the company is sponsoring me with a letter to the embassy that they would be taking care of all my expenses and we also included the letter from the organisers of the conference saying we have paid the conference fees and we also included the hotel reservation.What do I need to include again after my personal account?
You mean you applied for a UK visa without a bank statement of account?

justwise: funkybaby think those documents are necessary if the company is not one of those big pharmaceutical companies that turns out hundreds of millions yearly, their financial strength need to be determine so as to know if they can afford such foreign conference and still be in business, pay staff etc.

Well known companies will not need to present those documents but for unknown companies those documents are necessary.

My opinion though.

funkybaby: in my own opinion, there really is no need to include the company's business bank statement and all that.

all you need from them is a letter confirming that you are a staff and they are sponsoring you as a representative at the conference. the letter should also state what benefit the pharmaceutical company will get (if any) from sending you to the UK for the conference (considering the fact that they are financially responsible for your trip).

now, the onus is on you to proof that you have strong ties to nigeria and you will not ABSCOND and not return once you get into the UK or break any immigration law. you have to show that you have strong (family) ties to nigeria and also proof that you are financially stable in nigeria and you have a job that you love and would be returning to once the conference is over.

the UK peeps dont give a damn about the company sponsoring you. your employer can decide to give you a 1st class ticket and lodge you at the best hotel but the main question is will you return back home once the conference is over? so make sure you have enough docs in your application relating to yourself proving your ties to the courntry.
