CRAVING FOR ACTUALIZATION OF
(URHOBO POLITICAL MOBILIZATION GROUP) U.P.M.G.

INTRODUCTION 1

The aim of the urhobo political mobilization group is to ensure that the urhobo’s are not deprived of their rightful benefit. This group is being form to promote and energize the urhobos in Warri South Local Government.

We should be beneficiaries of the dividend of democracy. Our quest for change should be given due consideration. We need a scrupulous leader who will provide good education, job opportunities, empowerment, and so on. We need to enjoy the fruit of our land; our leaders should recognize the presence of the urhobo’s in warri south. This group is not an opposition group or violence pizzards or miscreant, we will work with different arms of government both in local level, state level and federal level to achieve our aim.

We need politicians who are capable and competent to take the urhobo’s to a greater height. We need a transparent leader, a robbust representation not for selfish interest. We want a situation were our voices will be heard. The problem of the urhobo’s has been for ages. The political situation of constituency II has deteriorated rapidly, an increase height of hardship, poverty, and joblessness is the order of the day. The actual solution to our problem is for us to be united, pulling our selves from slumber, refuse to be stagnant, develop the ambition to excel that is the only way we can grow as a community. This group will boost the morals of the urhobo people to act accordingly. We must refuse to be cheated by treacherous politicians, we should not be exempted of our rightful benefit.

In conclusion, how can this ugly situation of the urhobo be ameliorated and reduced to the bearest minimum, this is our focus and together we can do it.



INTRODUCTION 2

I ordinarily would not have demanded for it, if it were to be for personal interest or gains, by hobnobbing from one place to the other, but subscribing to the view that when one is pressed by the people interest, no matter unbelievable the drive may sound, if we consistently hit on it’s aim persuasively we will infact see the truth in our struggle.

Our struggle is not to perpetrate deviousness, owing to depravity experience by the urhobo’s in Warri South Local Govt. Area. We have decided to come up with this mobilization group to gear the unity of the urhobos in Warri for the awakening awareness to reality.

If we fold our hands to ignore this move and say I don’t care, we will remain irrelevant in the political class
of this dispensation and also be deprieved of our relevant right, (been unrecognized) which is the dividend of democracy.

Then lets ask ourselves these questions? Are we really counted to benefit from the goodness that comes to this land, the scholarship opportunities, empowerment opportunities e.t.c
Besides are we really recognized as a pressure group by any political aspirant both local, state and national level.

However, I am not twisting facts to projects my drive, but moved with the mentality of a stern recognition of the urhobo political mobilization presence in warri. We are not begging for it, we are appealing to our conscience to come together for the purpose God has placed us here for (POLITICAL RELEVANCE) like our fellow Itsekiri’s and Ijaw brothers. Having the same dreams our UPU forefathers have fought for, thus the craving for the relevant recognition of urhobo political mobilization group.

More also, this group should be presented to all our aspirant for various political positions that the benefit of democracy be experience in the grassroots (constituencies) and not their pocket alone i.e carrying everyone along both in the local, state and national aspirant. The peaceful co-existence with our fellow Ijaw’s and Itsekiri’s brothers should be of paramount interest in our drives and seeing each other as partner in our drive in getting dividend of democracy and not struggling enemies.

In additional project to them (Aspirants) recognition of the royal highness in kingdom and genuity of their aspiration been seen in the grassroot, while we give them our undivided support as urhobo’s flag bearer in various aspired seats.

Finally beneficial development in all urhobo occupied area, accurate urhobo representation, good disposition of opportunities to the urhobos and perfect recognition as a pragmatic mobilization group that cannot be ignored by any aspirant for we stand to gain the benefits of democracy and be bold to demand our rightful authorities as a stand group.
