laudate:Thanks for whooping his azz with his own link |
Obasanjo does not seem to see the problem. That the mentality of the various Islamic sects in the North is diabolical and unfit for the modern world. |
INTROVERT:Haha. Many of you simply have no idea of the world beyond your porous borders 52 Latvia 23,707 53 Chile 22,971 54 Gabon 22,924 55 Argentina 22,582 56 Antigua and Barbuda 22,573 57 Saint Kitts and Nevis 21,091 58 Croatia 20,889 59 Uruguay 20,556 60 Romania 19,712 61 Turkey 19,610 62 Panama 19,455 63 Mauritius Gabon has the 54 largest GDP per capita in the world Nigeria ? 123 largest 121 Congo, Rep. 5,869 122 Samoa 5,769 123 Nigeria 5,602 124 India 5,418 125 Tonga 5,304 Which means that the economic output per person in a year is 4 times higher . A crude explanation : It basically means that potentially four times more money is there to be made ,salaries are potentially 4 times higher , government spending per head is potentially higher . The citizens probably live better or have 4 times the chance of having a higher standard of living |
Flyoruboy:Correct. With all the billion dollars investment and limited footprint in Nigeria as a whole, how many people do they directly employ . Shell has less than 6000 staffs despite making over $10 billion annually .SME employ the vast majority of people in developed nation . More investments like you see in ogun , Lagos and ibadan is The way to redemption. The Niger sweatshops tell their elites to grow some brains and stop building hotels and amusement park. The citizen should also stop voting for tinpot dictators and thugs |
Criticism is different from stupidity, dishonesty and lies which cannot stand stand critical examination. It is one thing to criticise what the government is doing while bringing an alternative ideas on how it should be done , it is another thing to just plain stupid. Your support for the obnoxiously corrupt Jonathan government has rendered most of the critics irrelevant and discredited. People like that should zip it ( keep quiet) in shame. Bringing post from useless blogs and continuously putting up dumb post means that you will be subjected to ridicule all the time . You can delude yourselves when you are amongst likeminded folks. However ,expect to be called out when you bring your rubbish here especially from the well read folks from the former western region ( western and Midwestern region) . The true opposition to Buhari will come from those who actually brought him to power . Not from those who lack a sense of democracy or civics. |
hakeem4:Yes , this is another one of the crap they keep spewing . After conniving( azikwe) with the North( ahmadu bello) to create the Midwest and conveniently ignoring all the autonomous movement from the northern region and the eastern region ( ijaws , efik , ogonis ), the stage was set for nemesis to catch with them. Azikwe and ahmadu bello did it to weaken the western region . Eventually they threw Awo in prison on trumped up charges with just one witness testimony. They ignored all the pleadings for separate regions by the minorities Karma is a biiiitcccchhhh. Karma caught up with the east when the intransigence and the petulance of ojukwu during the aburi negotiations finally resulted in Gowon showing his hand . Ojukwu said the eastern region would not share the newly discovered oil in the land of the minorities with the North ( the western region paid for herself ) This is after sharing from resources from other places before oil . what did Gowon do ? He checkmated ojukwu. He did exactly what should have been done ( as per the agitations of minorities before independence) when the Midwest region was created . He created more states as per the wishes of the minorities . Seeing that the ijaw oil that the igbos were banking on had been removed from their grasp, ojukwu declared Biafra as the only means to retain control of that oil. |
T72 where Uganda got the 100 of newer generation T90s for $340 million and 8 SU-30MMK jet fighters with an additional 4 on order |
Lol. This man thinks people are stupid . Better late than never . One week of detention can perform miracles. Money wey una don park inside private account before . Una just dey remember to go buy the last century's weapon . Make thunder fire you |
Sorry I have not seen any skill to suggest that the man is employable. |
A lot of people are going to lose the ill gotten oil blocks. |
What has Lagos got to do with the choices made by the SE in the political realm. This obsession with Lagos is getting out of hands . the North played both sides of the equation by allowing their politicians to be affiliated with whichever party they want to be associated with. The SW and the South South are well represented. Unlike what you read online , many SS professional and business elites did not like nor did they support Jonathan . They only kept mute to protect their interest. Third mainland bridge - as if that is enough to pay for the amount of money that the Nigerian state has been taking from the SW since independence . It is not worth what the FG is taking away every month . National art theatre - the land on which it is built (which belongs to a royal family in Lagos) is worth multiple times the value of that derelict building . They could as well dig it up and take away . Indigenisation - indigenisation was simply the act of decolonisation which was the trend all over the world at the time especially in Africa against the apartheid regimes in Zimbabwe and South Africa . Nothing to do with one deluded thought of conspiracy. Even the stuffs indigenised belonged or were controlled to Europeans ,Asians and American ,not igbos N20 policy: I always hear this dumb argument. I have never heard anyone arguing against those who had no bank account at all, not to talk of having N20 but got N20 ( which was money you cannot sniff at back in the days ). Even today , most Nigerians do not have a bank account and if they do have one ,many do not have a penny in those accounts. On the economic side , Nigeria did not even have that kind of money. The national budget was in the millions of naira , not in trillions of today . Even the amount given ran very close to the national budget Also , there was no way the FG could have made the SE elites . whole( Most likely would have removed their money anyway before the war started) On the Biafran currency , only a fool would expect the FGN to exchange the worthless currency at parity with the naira . Whatever value it had or could have had within Biafra had already been destroyed used by ojukwu's government to fund his war . That is why many Igbo elites had millions of Biafran pounds on them after the war . They went on money printing orgy. Making igbos exchange an adequately gold backed currency naira for one (Biafran pounds) backed by nothing ,is like exchange an Mercedes for a bottle of Alomo bitters. Ojukwu collected the naira and gave them a worthless piece of paper |
Oil has definitely run the country mad |
I hate it when people refuse to take responsibility. If some people are supporting boko haram , it is your duty to destroy them . |
fulanimafia:Excellent reply right there. |
Eko o ni baje . Over population ,the other states and the FG are responsible. The federal government takes out between N2 and N4 trillion out of the economy of Lagos every year. But gives back 96 billion . Even the Niger delta is even collecting derivation on money earned in Lagos . Compare . 4,000,000,000,0000 00096,000,000,000 ------------------------- 3,004,000,000,000 ------------------------- |
Goodboiyy:Do not worry yourself ,we know that you are different and peaceful despite being responsible for 40% of all oil exports . Let them continue . |
Go and tell Jonathan , patience ,omokri,Askari, tompolo ,apkabio ,odili and others to go and build their own shipyard if they want it so much President Goodluck Jonathan has directed that a $500 million oil and gas investment project be relocated from LADOL Free Trade Zone (FTZ) in Lagos to Agga in Bayelsa State, The Nation learnt yesterday. The project is a partnership between LADOL Integrated Logistics Enterprise and Samsung Heavy Industries, Korea. The two companies are to build fabrication and integration yards for Egina Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) facility for the use of local and foreign-owned oil companies. The multi-million dollar project is in phases, and billed to be completed in the next five years. The project is said to have reached an “advanced stage” before Jonathan issued a directive that it should be relocated. The directive, contained in two letters dated April 27, was signed by Mr A.B Mohammed, a general manager with the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA). Mohammed signed the letters on behalf of the NPA Managing Director, Sanusi Ado Bayero, who is believed to be a stakeholder in Intel, an oil and gas logistics firm in Rivers State– an allegation he has denied in newspaper advertorials. The letters read: “Pleased be informed that Mr President has vide PRES/99/MT/2/22 of April 20 approved the FPSO project be relocated to Agga in Bayelsa State when the facilities to handle such operations are developed. “In addition, the project can be conveniently located at any designated oil and gas terminal. Please be informed that Mr President has approved, henceforth, all oil and gas related cargoes must be handled only in the designated terminals in Onne, Warri and Calabar Ports. The letters added: “In view of this, vessels coming to Nigeria with oil and gas related cargoes, excluding petroleum products, are advised to first go to the appropriate concessioned terminals to be cleared by Customs and other relevant authorities, terminal operators and shipping firms.” The Managing Director, LADOL Integrated Logistics Enterprise, Dr Amy Jayesinmi, said the timing of the letters was wrong. She said the directive was ill-conceived, and capable of destroying the gains made by the partners in the project. She said the directive to relocate the project to Bayelsa was part of efforts to destroy the potential local operators who are bent on deepening their participation in the oil and gas sector. She said the letter was diversionary in content, advising stakeholders not to allow their attention to be distracted. Mrs. Jayesinmi said efforts were being made by oil and gas operators to build one of the biggest floating vessels in the world, as well as making Nigeria the oil and gas hub in West Africa, adding that nothing would frustrate that efforts. She added: “We got the two letters the same day: a day after the appointment of the new MD of NPA. I want to make it clear that we (LADOL) do not have problems with NPA because they are using our facility. “NPA has an office in LADOL Free Trade Zone. NPA had severally said LADOL is the largest private investor in its facility. By the end of 2017, LADOL would have invested $500million in NPA facility. Technically, it is not appropriate for the project to be relocated to Bayelsa, the President’s home state.’’ |
When they are done with it , they should shut down Nigerian breweries as well. Why would an omoluabi site his ship yard in a lawless region? The same reason why commercial container ship avoid the same place Lawlessness which has caused high insurance fees and bonds . A mumu was asking on the front page why site a ship yard in Lagos when the oil is in the ND. Answer : it is a shipyard where ships are repaired or built .Nothing to do with your damn Oil . Oil and gas is just one component. The main target customers are the ships coming into the west African sub region . Why are the oil coys headquartered in Lagos ? You should blame your fathers and brothers for what they did in 1994 . |
This article perfectly explains why we need to get out of that country |
Haha. Cold without crude power . |
As long as he keeps away from the allure of wealth and learn from the Soludo example, then he should be fine |
When senior judges start throwing accusations up and down like Marilyn ogar, then the society is imperilled. It is even easy to pick holes in her accusations. itse sagay is right . She could have passed the same grievances anonymously through third parties . She has moved from the judicial realm to the political realm. I hope she gets the boots . |
Mimiko has destroyed that state. His family and those of his wife have turned the state into family business . |
Boko haram is the North's baby . Everybody know how much I hate Jonathan and his bunch of corrupt goons who I hope will end up in prison. On this one however , I will definitely allow this particular line of attack to slide . Not taking responsibility for the monster you created .thevsame thing with all the Biafran who will never take responsibility for all their wrong choices and the clowns they continuously vote into power . Jonathan was simply a heartless ,corrupt and hopelessly incompetent person . In fact ,Jonathan is an example of a typical northern politician. The outcomes in bayelsa is almost the same as the NW and NE. Remove the Jonathan factor and you are left with nothing other than the corrupt , heartless , incompetent and deluded inbred elites of the North west and north east who think they can be more Arab than Arab and see power as a tribal thing for elites to play with . My guess is that Jonathan is also responsible for low education and health outcomes in those areas Jonathan is definitely not responsible for the fact that the road linking maiduguri with the second largest city Bama( 73km ) has never licked a coat of tar. Never ever. Yet they waste public money on building mosque and all sorts of religious monuments . If so many children are out of school and you are not paying teachers, what exactly have the been spending the money not wasted on religion on? Yet they have money to spend on Mecca and useless pilgrimages . Why won't they be poor if they cannot tar such an important road while collecting the 8th largest allocation in Nigeria .almost collecting the same rate as bayelsa. They were busy implementing backward medieval law called sharia .As if Saudi Arabia is a country to aspire to be like. They banned beer all over the place . Did they not know it will affect the hospitality business including the building of hotels ,the generation of economic activity etc Buhari had better not fail . I am not one of those who lick azzez all over the place . Even today , they are still wasting money by people to go and study Arabic and Islam instead of engineering , agriculture etc |
NifemiOlu:Because in a few years( probably less than 100) , your state will look like the Sahara desert |
Simply send Nigerian please policemen back to their state of origin . Preferably town of origin. Problem solved. |
Sycophants |
There are states in this country which will be better governed by the Kings in those states. |
