Today i will be sharing a touch story on how my sister went from 120kg to 100kg in 30days.

She came into my DM and wrote.............

I was curious, I immediately put a call to her,
she recounted how she has doubled in size,

Two days ago,

I told you that I will discuss the reasons why people gain weight by skipping meals.

Skipping meals (or leaving long gaps between meals) is the cardinal sin of fat-burning and muscle-building nutrition.

Missing meals slows down your metabolism, causes muscle lôss and triggers your body's starvation responses.

Suppose you skip breakfast and you haven't eaten since 8:00 p.m. the previous evening.

If you eat lunch at 12:00 pm, you've gone 16 hours without food.

At this point, you are not only in a highly catabolic (muscle wasting) state, you're also sending an unmistakable starvation signal to your body.

If skipping meals is the cardinal sin of fat burning and muscle building nutrition, then skipping breakfast is a capital crime suited for the death penalty!

And yet everybody is doing it!

Analysis of nutrition programs for many clients shows that one of the most common errors in skipping breakfast or eating it late, around 10:00 a.m. or even later is people say: "I don't have time!"

This is usually the excuse justifying this unforgivable blunder.

Let's take a close look at the devastating impact this lack of planning and discipline has on your fat lôss efforts:

Suppose you're in a hurry to get to work in the morning and you bolt out the door without eating breakfast.

Your first meal of the day is lunch at 12:00 noon.

It's moderately sized, let's say 500 calories, consisting of a butter/sardine sandwich on wheat bread and a banana. Sounds fairly healthy so far.

By your customary dinner time of 6:00 p.m., you are ravenously hungry, and you polish off a massive plate of Garri for a total of 800 calories.

Later that night you're still hungry and craving something sweet. Some cookies and low fat milk do the trick about 300 calories.

Then you go right to sleep. Although far from perfect, this menu doesn't sound like a total disaster to the average, uniformed person?

But IT IS!

It's a nightmare In the long run, this type of diet is a sure-fire way to slow down your metabolism,

Lôse muscle and gain body fat. On the other hand,

2400 calories spread out into five or six small meals of 400 - 480 calories each (about 300-350 calories per meal for women), will increase energy, accelerate muscle growth, and speed up your metabolism without fat storage.

Frequent eating can allow you to consume up to 50% more calories without storing an ounce of it as fat!

The above food illustration paints a picture of what goes on in the average life of people in this country.

2. Why you should not diet (Skip meals)

Firstly,

throughout your course with me am going to be using the terms burning fat,  lôsing fat or melting fat?.

They mean the same thing BUT, lôsing fat is not the same as lôsing weight.

Anybody can lôse weight.

When you fast or skip meals,

your weight drops - you are not burning fat, just painfully losing your muscle and water from your body.

Weight lôss and fat loss are not the same things.

You must learn to distinguish between the two.

The scale can be very misleading if it's the only criteria you use for measurement.

For example, a woman could weigh 50kg and have 33% body fat.

That's what I call a skinny fat person.

In contrast, a female bodybuilder could weigh 65kg and be quite lean, with body fat as 14%.

With this in mind, your goal should never be weight loss.

Your goal should be lôsing fat while maintaining muscle.

Your muscle is the engine that controls fat lôss.

Secondly, When you starve yourself or skip meals, you also starve the muscle.

When you starve the muscle, you lôse muscle along with the fat.

When you lôse muscle, your metabolism slows down and your body enters starvation mode.

When your body enters starvation mode, fat lôss comes to a STOP as your body tries to conserve its energy.

When the fat lôss stops, you both give up (and gain back all the fat you lôst), or you grit your teeth and drop your calories (starve yourself) even more.

If you drop your calories, even more, your metabolism slows down even more.

And if your metabolism slows down, even more, fat lôss comes to a screeching STOP again.

Eventually, you will end up frustrated and worried why dropping your calories or skipping meals is not giving you the results you need.

You will remain fat, irrespective of doing the things above.

If you want to get results, you will have to change the way you perceive dieting.

And no, you don't have to fast to lôse weight, instead, you will do the opposite, eat more.

But wait, doesn't eat more food cause weight gain? You ask! Yes, it does. But, there is a way to eat more that allow you to lôse all the fat you have gathered all your life.

Imagine having to eat five times a day to burn fat.

I mean one would think that to lose fat you must decrease food intake, starve or even skip meals.

Hold on a second,

this is exactly what has been pulling you back from achieving your fat lôss dreams.

Yes,

to burn fat, you must eat at least five times a day!

The major rule is to never stuff yourself in one sitting.

In other words, each eating time must be a small portion of food.

Not every overweight person is an overeater.

Some people hardly eat at all and they still can't lôse weight.

However, many people who are overweight are overeating and this is often the ONLY thing they're doing wrong.

Fat lôss requires the discipline and willpower to control your portions at all times.

The major rule is to never stuff yourself in one sitting.

Instead, always spread out your calories throughout the day in smaller, more frequent meals.

Small, frequent meals have an amazing effect on your metabolic rate (fat-burning machine of the body).

ONE or TWO meals a day is a disaster for fat lôss.

If you haven't been eating at least three times a day, you are causing serious damage to your metabolism.

Eat THREE meals a day, properly balanced with the right nutritious foods, and work out hard and you'll get some results.

But...you'll get about half the results you'd get from five meals a day and it will take you twice as long to get there.

FIVE meals a day? Now we're getting somewhere.

Five meals a day will give you excellent results every week for females and six times for males.
