It's quite ironic that some people whose candidate has faced allegations of certificate forgery and identity theft, and who routinely avoids debates, interviews, and unscripted questioning, are now trying to scrutinize someone who willingly attends debates and interviews and has no allegations of forging certificates hanging over him. The irony is hard to miss: those who defend a candidate who avoids public scrutiny are often the loudest in demanding explanations from one who embraces it. |
Counterigbolies:@ the bold, you've already acknowledged that he has failed. The real question is, if you agree he has failed, why are you blaming the opposition for the economic and security crisis under his administration? Isn't that a contradiction? Aren't you contradicting yourself Governments are elected to govern, not to spend their entire tenure looking for scapegoats. After years in power, responsibility belongs to those occupying the seats of authority, not to some imaginary opposition figures. As for the alternative, alternatives abound. Democracy is not built around one individual. Nigerians have always had choices, and when the time comes, Nigerians will decide which alternative they believe can do better. The bigger question is this: after all the promises of renewed hope, can you point to any significant improvement in the cost of living, security, or the welfare of ordinary Nigerians that justifies another term? Don't run away ooo. ![]() |
Nigeria is experiencing one of the worst economic and security crises in its history, yet some people seem more concerned with blaming imaginary opposition leaders than addressing the incompetence and unprecedented cluelessness on display in the Tinubu administration. As for those trying to label others as frauds, the only fraud many Nigerians recognize is the one built on the propaganda of "building Lagos from scratch" and "taming the Atlantic Ocean"..only to deliver hardship, suffering, and death on an unprecedented scale as president True, Nigerians are wiser now. Seven months before the general election, the government is obviously unable to tell Nigerians what it has achieved or how the lives of ordinary citizens have improved positively to warrant another term |
NOETHNICITY:When will it connect with calabar? Timelines... Will it happen before May 29, 2027? |

Akpakomiza2:Good. You too, you agree he'll secure even more votes in the NE and NW than he did in 2023. That's all that matters here. |
HacheNoire:Not just drug traffickers, but internet fraudsters, credit card scammers, forgers, and identity thieves as well. They all contribute to the negative perception of Nigeria abroad. It's unfortunate. |
IamPatriotic:That's not the argument Read the argument first. You're leaping into the conversation like an antelope and missing the point entirely |
FSBoperator:Prepare to bend, because he'll secure even more votes in the NE and NW than he did in 2023. |
Expect nothing but more hardship and deaths. For many Nigerians, the thought of another four years of the Tinubu regime is both unimaginable and frightening. |
yarimo:Of course Tinubu no suppose get mate. Mandate wey bring hardship and deaths no fit get rival. Abi I lie? |
Nice one. Now the big question is: when will this Lagos section finally connect to Calabar? Because, it's Lagos-Calabar coastal highway Will it happen before May 29, 2027? Asking for a friend. 😏 |
Wike has long abandoned the PDP. He is no longer sponsoring candidates under the party because he has completely lost out there. Instead, he is now backing candidates and encouraging his loyalists to contest under the APC. Just as he destroyed the PDP, he appears to be on a path to destroy the APC in Rivers state as well. In fact, Rivers APC is beginning to show signs of heading toward 2019 Zamfara-style political crisis. The fact is that his APC faction led by Tony okocha have been sacked by both the FHC and appeal court. Their congress have long been declared null and void and any candidate emanating from that faction is not recognize by law But the APC national leadership seems less concerned about that. Their primary interest is ensuring that Tinubu secures Rivers State in the presidential election. If Wike ends up setting the state on fire and reducing it to ashes, they don't care, as long as the presidential votes are delivered. |

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has dismissed reports suggesting he promised automatic senatorial tickets to lawmakers who lost in the recent All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections. Akpabio’s clarification follows comments he made while addressing senators upon their return from a three-week recess and the Eid-el-Kabir holiday, during which he expressed optimism that efforts were being made to address concerns arising from the party’s primary process. Speaking at the plenary session, the Senate President acknowledged the challenges faced by some lawmakers and noted that the leadership of the Senate was working to minimise disappointments among members. However, in a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio said reports claiming he guaranteed tickets for affected senators were inaccurate. According to the statement, the Senate President merely sympathised with colleagues who were unsuccessful in the primaries and assured them that the APC leadership was reviewing issues arising from the exercise. “What the President of the Senate actually said was to empathise with senators who were affected negatively by the outcome of their primary elections,” the statement said. “He assured them that the leadership of the APC is actively working to address all issues arising from the primaries and that the final list of candidates will be released in due course in line with the party’s constitution and electoral guidelines.” Akpabio reiterated his commitment to party procedures and due process, stressing that he would not interfere in the APC’s internal affairs or make commitments beyond his constitutional role as Senate President. The clarification comes after several serving senators failed to secure their party’s tickets during the APC primaries held across the country. Meanwhile, Akpabio also weighed in on calls for a legislative probe into recent security incidents involving the military. While acknowledging that oversight of government institutions is a constitutional responsibility of the National Assembly, he said a public investigation into military operations may not be appropriate at this time. According to him, Nigeria’s armed forces are currently engaged in multiple security operations across the country, and public hearings could affect their morale and operational effectiveness. Instead, Akpabio advocated continued engagement with security agencies through consultations and other non-public mechanisms aimed at strengthening national security efforts. He maintained that cooperation between the legislature and security institutions remains essential in addressing the country’s security challenges. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2026/06/akpabio-denies-promising-apc-tickets-to-senators-defeated-in-primaries/ |

Peter Obi has consistently demonstrated a commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s healthcare system through his contributions and interventions. In 2025, he emerged as the highest individual contributor to healthcare interventions in Nigeria, spending more than the federal government's direct allocation to the sector. Meanwhile, the Tinubu administration reportedly disbursed just a meager N35 million to the health sector in 2025, the lowest federal government allocations to healthcare in Nigeria's history. |
Nice one there We are ready to vote |
The Presidency has hit back at Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), following his criticisms of the Federal Government’s approach to national security. The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, challenged Obi’s governance track record, questioning his credibility to lecture the current administration on security management. Quoting a past video clip of Obi’s successor, Willie Obiano, Onanuga suggested that Obi’s supporters are attempting to rewrite history regarding the true state of security during his tenure in Anambra State. “Ask Peter Obi today, whether Anambra was secure under his watch, he and his Obidients would attempt a brazen revisionism. But the internet never forgets. And Obiano, Obi’s successor, is still alive,” Onanuga stated. In the referenced video footage, former Governor Obiano claimed that the security architecture of the state was severely compromised at the time he took over administration. “Peter Obi handed over a state with zero security to me. Over 69 people were kidnapped under him, and indigenes avoided coming home to Anambra.” The reply from the presidency follows a series of statements by Obi, who has strongly condemned the Tinubu administration’s handling of the country’s security crisis. Obi focused heavily on the recent mass abductions of schoolchildren and teachers in Oriire, Oyo State, and Mussa, Borno State, arguing that such tragedies are becoming normalized. He noted that while roughly ten school abductions occurred during Muhammadu Buhari’s eight-year tenure, the current administration has recorded over ten mass school abductions in its first three years alone. Obi also criticized the emergency federal approval to recruit 1,000 forest guards for Oyo State to comb the Old Oyo National Park, calling it a reactive, knee-jerk policy that lacks a structural blueprint. He questioned whether similar approvals would be extended to the other 35 states facing security issues, or if the directive was merely based on impulse. Furthermore, Obi raised concerns about how the new federal initiative would align with existing regional security structures like the Amotekun Corps in the South-West.Nigerian https://politicsnigeria.com/2026/06/06/just-in-was-anambra-secure-under-his-watch-presidency-fires-back-at-obi/ |
Tinubu should take his own advice and resign over insecurity, just as he advised Goodluck Jonathan to do. |
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC on Friday escaped a mob attack in the popular Ladipo Market, Lagos State.https://dailypost.ng/2026/06/06/apc-chieftain-joe-igbokwe-escapes-mob-attack-in-lagos-market-video/

Ttalk:Why are you upset with me for quoting Tinubu? If governors are still not paying salaries despite receiving allocations, then direct your frustration at Tinubu for making that claim without properly verifying the facts before going on air and declaring that governments no longer owe salaries. |
But Tinubu said that state governments are no longer owing salaries. |
HacheNoire:'Best thing to happen to Nigeria since the creation of Earth'.... Wonderful! At this point, you're not defending a politician; you're nominating him for sainthood. The problem with calling leaders demigods is that you stop measuring performance and start measuring devotion. No wonder you chorus "On his mandate you shall stand " Fortunately, elections are decided by voters, not disciples. And know this very fact, history has a habit of humbling political cults. |
