People need to realise that NL might be a sorta social network but it does not mean you can make real life friends. You can be friends with the character a user plays on NL and not really be friends with the person. Its just two different things and noting about being real or not it just how the user wants to present his/herself.

I think Nairaland [i]actually is [/i]a good place to meet people and make friends you would have otherwise never known. How else would you get to know someone half the world away?
i hope the nlanders here aren't as fake as ppl are making it out to be.

This is how it goes.At times I just read what goes on here and laugh.
You join NL, next somebody requests for our yim and fb id. If u are the quick type you hurry to dish them out and invite every tom ,Joystick and harry. You keep in touch on fb.
Next you discover the person you talk to on nl is not the same person on fb.You start picking fights on fb!
Then what do u do? your fights spill over to nl and land at the mod's desks!
Now how silly is that? What about those that upload people's fb pics here on nl? and the fights start?
I have read some threatening to upload people's fb pics here. Are those the people to trust?
There are ways of knowing somebody well.
Its not a crime to dish out your contacts neither is it crime to hold back. Some people are here purely for discussion and debates,others for friends like the op ,others both.

These fake personalities scare at times cz people sound different from what they really are and if I know that, then am better off not wanting to know you more.

This is an excellent movie. Congratulations to all the actors, the director and the novel writer Stephen King. I liked especially the performance Michael Clark Duncan. No wonder he was nominated for the Oscar^^ .

That´s how cinema should be. The story wants to tell us about many things such as the death row or the racism. All is very well packed as a drama and thriller . Some scenes are unbelievable but just imagine that everything really happens .

Fact is that it is not only very dramatic but sometimes there are also some funny plots. Don't miss it. If you liked it I highly recommend THE HURRICANE, THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION or TRUE CRIME. 10/10.</sup> [/size]
