Am guessing you didn't utilise your opportunity properly if ever you went to university here and worked here. Masters brought me to UK. Now am married to the most beautiful British Born Yoruba babe with 3 kids, combined take home pay every month after tax is £5,300! Bought our council house on mortgage, bought a land in Kubwa Abuja also, everything crispy and all Glory to God almighty.. So if you ever have another opportunity, make good use of it saouri: Dear All,
It is with a deep sense of responsibility and awareness I am writing you this article today.
For years we have been going to schools in the UK and other parts of the EU. In the past, up to around 2009/2010, we used to get opportunities to stay back in the UK in particular and get job opportunities but in the last 7 to 8 years this has not been the case. Now as soon as you graduate from your university, you are expected to get out of the UK.
Please bear in mind that as international students, you PAY MORE to get the same education as your UK and EU counterparts but you DO NOT get the same employment opportunities. The UK will rather employ someone from the EU (or has an EU country passport) who cannot speak even 4.0 IELTS level of english and 4 months working experience, than employ you who has 5 to 7 years working experience with a 7.5 to 8.5IELTS level of english. They know that the situation in Nigeria is getting worse by the day with the joke that we have as leaders, especially in the aspect of employment. Some people will say be innovative, be an entrepreneur; my people, please do not allow motivational speakers deceive you. Entrepreneurship is difficult. It is not as glamorous as instagram makes it look. Also, entrepreneurship is NOT for everybody. Many people need real jobs! Please ask yourself the following; - Why are you really going to school in the UK? - Why are you paying higher amounts of money to get an education which does not give you the same employment opportunities as your counterparts? - Is marrying a UK/EU citizen because of papers worth it? - Is it really worth it to stay back in the UK illegally? - Why are you making the UK richer by driving up the value of the pound against the Naira by paying schools fees and visa fees in pounds? - Why can’t those schools have accounts in Nigeria and you pay all the necessary fees in Naira?
Once upon a time the Naira was more valuable than the pound. My people, Think!!! Nigerians are excluded from so many life changing opportunities for African youth such as the ALL BAR NONE scholarship, the DFID scholarships, the Barclays Rising Eagles programme (and Barclays has a branch in Lagos) etc.
I totally understand your need to migrate from the horrible economic and employment situation but I would advise you all to look at countries that use the point-based system and actually value your education or work experience in their country.
As a Nigerian, you cannot receive money in your Naira account through PAYPAL but you are encouraged to spend/buy using the same PAYPAL. If you can sell on Ebay, you can make money from home by selling things to people all over the world. We need a wakeup call.
Just so you know, I have personal experience living and working in the UK. To date, it has not given me any employment anywhere.
Even if you have parents that were legally British, because you were not born there in the UK, the Home office is not just going to hand you nationality. No. My country people please understand the UK DOES NOT WANT YOU...
I hope that this write up can dissuade many of you to look away from the UK or the EU. Leave them alone. |

Family › Re: Wife Dumps Her Son, Empties Husband's Shops, Elopes With School Boyfriend by OgbeniSir(m): 7:17am On Jan 11, 2018 |
PrettyCrystal: A man identified as Azubuike Okoye has revealed how his wife almost ruined his life after looting his properties and eloping with school boyfriend abroad. According to the man, the wife also abandoned their son whom was taken care of by their neighbour while he traveled to buy some goods.
Read the report shared by the Humans of Abuja on behalf of the man who has now forgiven his wife.
My decision not to listen to my family has almost ruined my life.
I met her four years ago, I thought she was an Angel sent to me by God,immediately I went ahead to see her family and perform the necessary rites, and after eight months of our traditional wedding we got wedded in the church. After our first child a Boy, I was so happy that I to ask her to quit her Job and I opened a branch of my business for her, deal on Fabrics at Wuse market, I gave her access to everything she wants, but she gave me the shock of my life last year when I traveled to go and buy goods upon my arrival I only found my son with my Neighbor at my House.
He narrated to me how he came back from the market and found my son Sitting outside and crying and he haven’t seen my wife since two weeks , I thought that was all until the next day that I went to the market I opened my shop it was empty and I went to her own, it was empty,I almost killed myself but thank God I didn’t.
I called her it was switched off, I later got to know that she eloped with her school boyfriend to Abroad, my family actually kicked against me getting married to her but I only thought my sisters were just being jealous and insecure because I am the only male child but I never knew they saw what I never saw in her.
Thank God I have moved on, I have forgiven her and I wish her well in her new found love and home, as for me all I have got to do now is to secure my sons future and make sure he doesn’t lack anything nor make same mistake I made.
Some women are the reason why people tag ladies gold diggers, she only got married to me to steal from me. Please my advice to every single man out there don’t be blindfolded by love, while in love try and also listen to your family their reasons might be genuine..
Source; https://www.nationalhelm.co/2018/01/man-reveals-wife-looted-goods-eloped-boyfriend-abroad.html So you travelled and didn't keep in touch with your wife everyday to even speak to your son? The whole world is connected by phone now so you would have known something is up the 1st day she didn't pick up tankless of 2 weeks. Story for the Gods |

President Muhammadu Buhari has written to the Senate to request confirmation of his appointment of Mr. Anthony Ojukwu as Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission.
President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, read the letter to senators at the plenary on Tuesday.
The letter read, “In accordance with provisions of Section 8 of the National Human Rights Commission Act 2010, I have the pleasure to present Mr. Anthony Okechuwku Ojukwu for confirmation as the Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission by the Senate.”

quote author=timesup234 post=61858382]The funniest and most expensive joke I have heard from Nigerians doing menial jobs in the US. and earning between $1,500- $2,000, is claiming that they are richer than bank managers in Nigeria. I guess they make their money in America while spending it in Nigeria. This stupid joke need to stop. A Nigerian doing menial job in the US. at best can be compare to someone receiving 80,000 Monthly in Nigeria in purchasing power. A Nigerian doing odd jobs for 10 yrs will still be paying rent while a 10 yrs bank manager would have long built two to three houses with a lucrative investment. Nigerians in America need to stop converting currencies because it is clearly stated that if you earn $12,000 annually in America you are living in poverty[/quote] |

listenersky: I just discovered my fiancee has been cheating on me. I discovered the chats she had with a married elderly man ,she initially denied it but she confessed after I showed her the evidence i had. We have been dating for six years and we did our intro early this year. We have picked the date of our wedding which is in few weeks time. People have been invited.
Her relationship with this elderly man didn't start now, she made me to understand that it has been going on for years. Now she has been begging me to forgive her and not put her to shame because PEOPLE are already looking forward to our wedding day.
Wedding preparations already in place. Infact preparations already 80% done. I'm really in a state of confusion right now because I don't know if I should go ahead with the wedding out of pity. And I am also scared that if I marry her out of pity, I might not love her the way I should as the thought of her being unfaithful over the years will never leave my head And how am I sure she's not cheating with more than one man?
Pls nairalanders, matured advice needed at this time. Do not listen to anybody on this platform that says run! They are of devil lineage and don't want your happiness. She's your wife, since apologised and after all you didn't meet her a Virgin shebi? Do not fall your hand nor hers. Go ahead with the wedding and the God almighty will nurture and protect your married life Amen |
