Oh..at last !

Thank you very much.
I am preparing to inspect the X3 this week.
Your second X3 is what year?

Thank you

benefitzte:
The 2008 3.0si is built very good and handles very well but it's main issue will be the "N' engine series with an electric water pump.
Some mechanics also have issues with the engine ignition timing(through very rarely required).

Go with a reliable and trusted mechanic for inspection.

I'm currently on my 2nd x3.

CelebritiesRe: China Trade Scam: Ross Boss Fires Back At VDM With Shocking Claims(Photos/Video) by Ogeneigbo1: 1:25pm On Oct 22, 2025
I think a lot will be unravel very soon about vdm visit to China.

If you listen very well, you will hear Mr Ross saying a good number of times that he paid 15,000 usd or 50,000 USD ,I didn't hear that very well for vdm to come to China.

If you are a business man, after paying a promoter such amount of money , would you still allow the promoter to detect to you how you will run your business.

I think that is where lies the misunderstanding...

It's like burna boy coming to tell Oraimo how to run their business after collecting money for promotion.

Well, I don't think it's proper.

I think vdm should focus his energy in the right direction so as to avoid unnecessary distractions like this.

After reading your story, I have only one advice for you which is

Stop telling your friends lies about yourself.

When anyone ask you tell them the truth ,you don't know who God has destined to be your helper and you are shielding them from helping you by lieing to them.

Do you know that those your friends can connect you to be great in your line of Business?

I wish you success in your endeavors but please stop the lies.

quote author=Agozskey post=135808865]I am a 24 years old guy into business...
So, I lost my dad at an early age when I was 17 about to enter the university but I couldn't anymore due to the death of my dad. That's when everything changed for the worst for me, I have only one brother and my mom, she's the emotional type so 2018 my aunty(dad's sister) told me to go and register for jamb which I did and I scored 256 then but the bad blood between my mom and dad's family made my mom cut all means of contact with my dad's family, instead she suggested i go and serve oga and learn a trade same 2018, so I moved from Enugu to Lagos around October 2018 to serve oga for 7years.
I really wanted to go to school but I couldn't make decisions because I didn't want to go against my mom, unfortunately after 2years of service I left the trade back home in d same Lagos, I couldn't continue because they wanted to extend my service to 8 years which I told my mom I won't serve anyone for 8years... I came back home broke to the bone, 2021 I had nothing, I did different jobs to survive because my mom isn't buoyant too and she's not really the hustling type, around August I stumbled upon a business, building materials around where I lived so I started doing sales boy for this woman from 2021, mind you we were dirt poor very poor as at that time, I was working for this woman without pay for the first 4 months but she gave me cash like 2k , 3k almost everyday which was huge for me then... B4 Christmas I linked up with my secondary school classmates and they were all in school, four of them they asked me due to shame I told them I am also in school, that was a lie but I didn't want them to know I didn't enter the university, and I kept this lie till now...
After 2years with this woman around 2024 I left her shop and started trading the building materials business on my own and I don't even have a shop, the little money I was making during my 2years stay working for this woman I spent everything on my family, feeding, clothing because we had little to no clothes, shelter( we were paying rent and our rent is 250k and all on me) my mom and bro contributed nothing, since 2021 I have been carrying my family 99% of everything in the house are on me, I feel angry sometimes because it is kinda stopping me from achieving what I want to achieve, I told my mom I'll have to leave dem and pursue my path because the responsibilities are suppressing me, we fought about it she said I will not leave until I settle her which I did, I gave her 300k which I saved up, I gave to her to start a business so she can help reduce the burden, she traded for few months and the money just vanished... Now, I am 24 and still doing my business which isn't too profitable and I am still shouldering the responsibilities in the house and my classmates are all doing their NYSC while I am stuck here...
They keep asking me when I'll go for service but they don't know I didn't even attend the university, I am so sad about how my life played out and I have no one to help me I am doing all these by myself still catering for my family, anytime I discuss with my mom she'll tell me God's time is the best but she was the number cause of all these, I am still with her because I don't even have the money to move away, and I really want to attend the university and go for NYSC I am 24 turning 25 this year and I feel it's too late to do that... I plan on writing jamb next year can I still make it to become a graduate and serve my country...
FamilyRe: My Wife went To Women Afair by Ogeneigbo1: 11:11am On Jan 24, 2025
Honestly, Toxic marriage is bad , but I advice people to separate in peace if you cannot manage the differences.

Let your separation not affect the way you relate with the kids and her or him.

This advice is mostly for men because in most cases it doesn't end well.

goodman41:
Your are right my friend won custody of his four boys in the customary court and now his is dead all the four boys have gone back to their mother. He died December last year from Hbp to kidney failure, so it didn't worth it, when he was in the hospital I visited him, he told me all he went through fighting for the custody of his boys and now they have gone back to their mother, that their mother is happy and laughing at him about his kidney problem.
FamilyRe: My Wife went To Women Afair by Ogeneigbo1: 9:12am On Jan 24, 2025
I will advice you to honour their invitation with a lawyer , they might give you the custody of the kids if you present your case well. But I tell you the truth ,this fight is not worth it because the children will still go back or look for their mother when they are of age.

I know a man who fought and won his wife both in court and min of women affairs like this, but I tell now that the kids are gradually going back to their mother now that they are old enough.

So , best option for you is to separate in peace with her if that is your wish.

Do not prevent her from seeing her kids.

They have seen him finish maybe because they feel he has no body. That is why a Co inlaw wants to return bride price to another inlaw. They are both inlaws for Christ sake.

Tell him to stop entertaining such discussion from a fellow inlaw.

Let the father of the wife or any elder from the wife's family do his job if they actually want to return the bride price.

These things have procedures like wise implications.

Happy New Year

EducationRe: It Is Like Plague, Avoid The HND Route. by Ogeneigbo1: 3:03pm On Dec 07, 2024
Why I said PhD will not save anyone during discrimination is because, when these government/private org. wants to do this discrimination, they start from ones entry level certifications. They don't ask you if you have PhD or not.

The emphasis is always on certificate you used to come into the organization.

Mind you , you are not the only one fighting for that new position.

There are many others too with maybe same PhD or even better qualifications.

So they now go back to the basics, which qualification did the candidates enter with.

That is why you see some senior staff getting exposed because their BSc or nysc is fake.meanwhile this person has been on the system for many years .

Juliearth:
Your option is yet another angle to explore. Note however, that it is quite unheard of to gain direct entry to 300L in a 400L institution. Best bet is 200L. Also, with a PhD for instance, the HND stigma holds no water.
EducationRe: It Is Like Plague, Avoid The HND Route. by Ogeneigbo1: 12:22pm On Dec 07, 2024
This route will not save anyone with HND from discrimination when the time comes.

Best thing is to enroll for direct entry with your HND, you can get 3rd year in some schools, give it another 1 or 2 years depending on the course ,then you have your BSc.

Juliearth:
This is an absolute truism. However, for those who have towed this path, you can still salvage the situation by running a Post-Graduate Diploma in any field of choice and subsequently, a Masters degree and furthermore, a PhD.

Thank you for this educative post.
A lot of people don't know this. That is why we see unnecessary speed on our roads thus causing preventable accidents.

A lot of people see their car's speedometer in MPH and they just assume that 120 is 120 in all cars ,not knowing that 120 is not 120 in all cars.

Thank you once again.
apkgloble:
Speed is a critical concept in many aspects of life. Whether you’re driving a car, calculating travel times, or measuring the performance of athletes, speed plays an essential role in determining how quickly something moves from one point to another. In this article, we will focus on converting speed measurements, specifically converting 120 kilometers per hour (km/h) to miles per hour (mph), and explore the significance and applications of such conversions.

Introduction to Speed Units

The measurement of speed involves understanding how far an object travels over a given period of time. The two most common units of speed are kilometers per hour (km/h) and miles per hour (mph). These two units are used primarily in different parts of the world, and understanding how to convert between them is crucial in a globalized society where travel and communication span continents.

Kilometers per Hour (km/h)

Kilometers per hour (km/h) is a metric unit of speed. It’s used extensively in countries that follow the metric system, including most of Europe, Asia, and Africa. The kilometer (km) is a standard unit of distance in the metric system, and the "per hour" part indicates how many kilometers are traveled in one hour.

The metric system is based on powers of ten, which makes it easy to perform mathematical calculations. In this system, one kilometer is equivalent to 1,000 meters, which is a much larger unit than the meter, the base unit for distance.

Miles per Hour (mph)

Miles per hour (mph) is used primarily in the United States and the United Kingdom to measure speed. A mile is defined as 1,609.344 meters (or approximately 1.6 kilometers). The unit "per hour" similarly indicates how many miles are traveled in one hour.

Although the mph unit is common in countries that follow the imperial system, it’s also used in some other regions for certain types of speed measurements, such as aviation and road travel.

Why Do We Need Speed Conversions?

Speed conversions are important because people from different regions use different systems of measurement. For example, in the United States, highways are typically marked in miles per hour, while most European countries display speed limits in kilometers per hour. Thus, if you’re traveling internationally or working with people from other countries, you’ll likely encounter situations where you need to convert speed measurements to understand travel times, speed limits, or vehicle performance.

Converting 120 km/h to mph

Now that we understand the importance of speed units, let’s focus on converting 120 km/h to mph. The basic conversion formula between kilometers per hour (km/h) and miles per hour (mph) is as follows:

Speed in mph
=
Speed in km/h
×
0.621371
Speed in mph=Speed in km/h×0.621371
This conversion factor (0.621371) represents the number of miles in one kilometer. It’s derived from the exact conversion between kilometers and miles: 1  kilometer = 0.621371  miles
1 kilometer=0.621371 miles

Step-by-Step Conversion:

To convert 120 km/h to mph, we use the formula:

120 km/h × 0.621371 = 74.564

mph 120km/h×0.621371=74.564mph
Thus, 120 kilometers per hour is approximately equal to 74.564 miles per hour.

Practical Applications of Speed Conversion

1. Driving and Road Safety
In many countries, speed limits are given in kilometers per hour, while in others, they are given in miles per hour. For example, if you’re traveling in Europe, you’ll encounter speed limits in kilometers per hour. However, in the United States, the speed limits are displayed in miles per hour.

By converting between km/h and mph, you ensure that you are complying with local traffic laws and driving safely. For example, if you are driving in a country where the speed limit is 120 km/h, you may want to know what that speed is in miles per hour to understand the speed relative to what you’re used to.

2. Aviation
Aviation uses both kilometers per hour and miles per hour for measuring speed, depending on the region. Aircraft speed is sometimes given in knots (nautical miles per hour), but knowing how to convert between km/h and mph can be helpful for those who want to understand how quickly a plane is moving relative to land-based speeds.

3. Cycling and Sports
Cyclists and athletes often track their speed in km/h or mph. A cyclist traveling at a speed of 120 km/h might be considered incredibly fast, while a professional cyclist would more typically ride at much lower speeds. If you’re using a fitness tracker or GPS system that displays speed in kilometers per hour but you are more familiar with miles per hour, being able to convert between these units can be useful.

4. Science and Engineering
Scientists and engineers working on projects related to transportation, meteorology, or any field that requires speed measurement need to be able to convert between kilometers per hour and miles per hour. For instance, meteorologists may use km/h to describe wind speeds in countries that follow the metric system, but their data needs to be accessible to an international audience, some of whom may use mph.

Speed and Travel Time: How Does 120 km/h Affect Travel?
Understanding the conversion between km/h and mph is crucial when calculating travel times. Travel time depends on the speed of your vehicle and the distance you need to cover. For example, if you are traveling 120 kilometers and your vehicle is traveling at 120 km/h, you would reach your destination in exactly one hour.

If you’re traveling at 120 km/h, this is relatively fast by everyday standards, particularly on highways or motorways. In contrast, at a speed of 120 mph (approximately 193 km/h), you would be traveling much faster than most speed limits allow, and in fact, would likely be breaking the law in most countries.

Let’s break it down further:

Example 1: Traveling 100 Kilometers
If you’re traveling 100 kilometers at a speed of 120 km/h, the time it takes to cover that distance is calculated as follows:

Time = Distance Speed = 100 km 120 km/h = 0.83

hours or approximately 50 minutes

Time= Speed Distance = 120km/h 100km =0.83hours or approximately 50 minutes
If you were traveling at the same speed in miles per hour (74.564 mph), the time would be:

Time = 100 km 74.564 mph ≈ 1.35

hours or approximately 81 minutes

Time= 74.564mph 100km ≈1.35hours or approximately 81 minutes
Thus, understanding your speed and using proper conversions can help you estimate travel times accurately.

Example 2: Comparing Different Speeds
Now let’s compare speeds of 120 km/h (74.564 mph) and 160 km/h (99.419 mph). If you are driving on a highway that has a speed limit of 120 km/h and you decide to go 160 km/h, you are exceeding the limit by 40 km/h or about 25 mph.

This would not only put you at risk of fines or legal consequences, but it could also increase the chances of an accident due to the faster rate of travel. In fact, at higher speeds, stopping distances increase significantly, and reaction times are reduced, making driving faster than the legal limit dangerous for you and others.

The Role of Speed Limits
Speed limits are put in place to ensure that drivers maintain safe speeds on the road. These limits are often based on the road’s design, the traffic conditions, and the area’s specific needs. For example, in urban areas or residential zones, speed limits are often set at 30 to 50 km/h (18.6 to 31 mph) to reduce the risk of accidents, especially involving pedestrians.

In contrast, highways and freeways tend to have higher speed limits, ranging from 90 km/h to 130 km/h (56 to 80 mph). These limits are intended to balance the need for efficient travel with the safety of all road users.

If the speed limit is 120 km/h (74.564 mph), drivers should adjust their speed based on traffic conditions, weather, and visibility. Although it may be tempting to drive faster, it’s important to prioritize safety above all.

Conclusion
In this article, we’ve discussed the process of converting 120 km/h to mph, including the background of the units, practical examples, and the importance of such conversions in real-world scenarios. Understanding speed conversions is crucial for travelers, athletes, scientists, and anyone who deals with speed-related measurements. By converting 120 km/h to 74.564 mph, we’ve demonstrated how these conversions can help you navigate different regions, comply with laws, and make informed decisions when it comes to travel and transportation.

Remember, whether you’re driving across the country, flying across continents, or simply calculating how long it will take to reach your destination, being comfortable with speed conversions allows you to move through life with confidence.
