Personally,I did not see anything wrong here..People are free to change their mind.

The Seller made a mistake by cutting the materials when she has not seen any alert..In business you don't do that..As for the transport...common people it's part of business expenses....if it had sailed through who will be talking of the profit.

All customers are seen and treated as potential customers until their alert confirms them a true customer.

Lessons learnt by the Seller, sorry it was learnt in a hard way.

Never run a business with emotions.

FamilyRe: My Birth Of Azeezah... My Story With Preeclampsia by Ogeneigbo1: 10:00am On Jan 14, 2022
Your story made me cry.

I remember 2014 , exactly same thing happened to my wife and I..but in our case the hospital didn't call us back..it was after about 8 days we went for check up that another doctor said baby had juandice.

We were admitted immediately, after all said and done, baby lived with asphyxia and we battled it till he went to rest on the 27 of August 2016.

Those two years were the hardest aspect of my life and marriage I will never wish anyone..

Congratulations to you and your child..
Happy birthday to her....

Ayoshewa12:
3 years ago when I had this child... It was nothing planned.

Was it Beautiful? Shocking? Scary? I don't even know... I was fading and someone needed to be saved.

With BP of 283 at 33 weeks, I was wheeled into the theatre for an emergency c.section because of preeclampsia.

Right at that moment, I looked into my doctor's eye and affirmed to him 'I am coming out with my child' and strangely I believed it.

I have promised her to love and live for her and I intend to keep that promise till the end.

When she finally came out, she was only 1.5kg.

Was I Happy, or sad? I don't know.

I am relieved she lives.

I was tidied up and wheeled into a ward, Then a specialist was invited for her... A woman

When she saw how strong she is and the way she cries... She said she doesn't need to be in an incubator.

She ordered for her glucose test to be taken and stuff on how to care for her was discussed.

She was placed under the UV light though and during the night, she would scream and cry... While i hold her hands and cry with her

A day after I was finally able to stand, I started expressing milk for her.... Feeding with a syringe.

From 5mls... To 10mls, to 15mls and sometimes 20mls.

During those times, I was drained, I needed care, I needed home cooked food, And I needed my man to pet me and say sorry for going through this.... But I had none.

Falling into depression while pregnant was my crime.

The top of the cherry? I was broke.

So I have to accept what I am given.

I was drained, I was hopeless...

Those kinds of feelings are something I will never wish for an enemy.

On the 5th day, we were discharged by the request of my hubby... Our bills calls for that decision, almost N2m in 5 days.

That Day, they tried collecting sample of her blood for tests and I had to hold her while the doctor poke through her veins

We went home, and the next day, we tried to arrange some stuff.

That night, I kept getting calls from this unknown number but I didn't pick cos I have be warned not to touch phone or pick calls

Then, around 2pm the next day, I got a call from the hospital line... It was my baby specialist.

She was begging me to bring the baby back to the hospital

Her jaundice level was high and they are afraid for her since almost 48hours she's been taken out of the light.

That was at her naming ceremony... guests are outside, caterers doing their job...

But we have to leave...

When we got back to the hospital, they needed to get her blood sample for EBT.

At that point, I feel what it means to be in pain... I was in pain!

I had to hold her hand while the doctor struggled to get 5mls of blood sample.

The baby was yellow, screaming but the blood sample is needed to get a blood for her EBT

2 days later, they got a match and the EBT was successful.

We were there for over 8 days trying to fight off jaundice under UV light.

During those nights, I remember crying along with my child... I remember giving up several times, I remember promising myself to be strong, I remember telling myself that I will make it and be successful.

And I remember an old man in the late 90s climbing up the hospital stairs just to come pacify me... My cry always reaches them at night.... He said to me, 'the young shall grow'

He is right, the young are truly growing.

During those nights, Another woman told me her story... She has been married for 12 years, gets multiple pregnancies but always loses them at birth.

She gave me the best motivation of my life…'No matter what you are going through, make money because makes life easier'

She was in her 8months of pregnancy back then... I pray you get whatever you want ma'am.

3 years today and I have grown from that scared, broke-hopeless lady I used to be.

I have had another baby with VBAC which was successful.

Looking at this girl, I see someone who never gives up no matter the pain.

Giving up is never an option.

My story doesn't end here… And this took me a lot of courage to put out here.

Today is for you, Azeezah.

I thank God for giving me the courage to tell this story... I hope this gives hope to someone out there going through it all.

I pray you never give up no matter what you are going through.

And, I thank God for giving my grandma to me, she was there...Like she has always been, I love you, Grandma

And,

I hope I will be courageous to tell my story another day.

I love you, Zizy.

Happy birthday to my bubbly pack of energy.❣️

Yesterday,my popsman attended a burial ceremony of one of my late Uncle..When he came back,he told me that there were over 100 hundred canopies at the party...And I askew him--""when the man was alive, was he taken care of?" Mu dad's reply was--"NO"

Immediate I said to him, then what's the essence festival all the many canopies to celebrate a man who suffered till his last day on earth undecided
Exactly, my brother..
In most cases people come to those parties to mock those who cannot afford it.

My father died in the US , I know how much we spent bringing the corpse down to be buried...

Do you know that some people came to the burial party just to witness and make sure he is the one in the casket..and when they found out he was the one, they declared that all drinks and foods must be complete ,some were even taking double ration..

No consideration whatsoever for those who are bereaved.
FamilyRe: Burial Parties! For What Purpose? by Ogeneigbo1: 9:05pm On Nov 06, 2021
crackhaus:
It's NOT love to want someone who has lived up to 100years to live longer. That's insensitivity...
If we use the money we spend on burial party to take good care of our elderly loved ones, they will stay 100 years and still be very strong.

Living long years on earth is not insensitivity, it's called Grace...
FamilyRe: Burial Parties! For What Purpose? by Ogeneigbo1: 4:40pm On Nov 06, 2021
I understand your points but I do not agree totally.

My father died in his 80's or late Seventies..His death was never a celebration for us his children because we thought and believed he died early even at such age.

Even that 100 years old man or woman has 1or 2 people who still cherish and love them so much that they wish they lived longer.

crackhaus:
I think it ought to depend on the age of the deceased.

An elderly person who lived a full and long life has no need for sober reflections, mourning, and/or despair.
I believe this is why parties are organized at their death — the idea here being that it's a celebration of life rather than a time for mourning.

Where I'm from, it's against our customs (some see it as taboo) to organize burial parties for people who have died young/pre-mature.
A pre-mature death includes the death of children, teenagers, young unmarried adults, middled-aged people (married or unmarried) still with young children.

Much older people (at least 70 years old) with grown children and those with grandkids, do have parties organized for them... And that's fine.
FamilyRe: Burial Parties! For What Purpose? by Ogeneigbo1: 2:20pm On Nov 06, 2021
This is a ceremony that one cannot understand the reason behind it.

you lost someone you claim was very dear to you and instead being sober, reflecting on importance of life, everyone is jumping up and down, sewing uniforms, cooking and eating , drinking and dancing.

The funniest part is that me that is complaining did it during my father's burial.

It's a bad aspect of culture that should be abolished as soon as possible.

The show of wealth is unnecessary.

But I tell you, it's going to be difficult to abolish because it has eating deep into the people.
Even the poorest in the society do it .

Don't even think that you will escape doing it because the whole village will make a mockery of you and your family.

Car TalkRe: Reno Omokri: I Never Realised What Car Horns Were Meant For Until I Went To Uni by Ogeneigbo1: 7:55pm On Sep 11, 2021
I realised car horns makes most Nigerians drive recklessly.
One day I went for a function ,my car horn was very Okay.. immediately after the function, I entered the car only to find out the horn is dead .

I thought of how to drive on the road with all the bike , Keke and other road users,I felt like parking the car,on a second thought, I zoom off.

I couldn't imagine that I drove this car without horn extra carefully back home...
I drove it again without horn for two days because my schedule was very tight to go see an electrician.

I never believed I could drive so carefully..

After the incident, I concluded that we abuse car horn in Nigeria.

Ok. Before this area manager there was a former one but I think that one was sacked. We've reached out to those bosses and we didn't really get an answer. He also mentioned in the mails that since the new area manager came he doesn't get the imprest on time (weekly money to run the store) .
Also this area manager as time without number said it to him that he feels disrespected anytime he's around my bro.
I'm very sure of my bros competence because his store has the highest ever bulk order in chicken Republic history.
2000 citizens meal. A store that's less than one year
He also grew thier sales to 1m daily.
In that case ,.,I see a case of envy and jealousy..

But what I do not understand is why the police called you guys back after you and your brother left the office for the Manager in Sokoto.
Like people have suggested, make use of a good lawyer not charge and bail oo..or you register with the DPA
Goodluck in your quest to solve this problem and give your brother permanent freedom.

Pls my nairaland family. I really need help,we need help in our family.
This story is long but I'll try and touch everywhere. Please help me.

We got to Sokoto as corpers(NYSC) along the line my brother got employed in food concepts (chicken Republic) as assistant restaurant manager Sokoto branch......I think he impressed the bosses there and they made him restaurant manager in less than six months.

Now here's how the problem started

My elder brother's area manager came to arrest him.
Please house I really need help. My bro works for food concepts (chicken Republic) as the restaurant manager (RM). On Friday he went to work and his area manager came to arrest him that stock worth 2.1 million is missing.
He was detained from Friday.....not until Sunday before I could bail him.
During the course of investigation, the police found some variations. The area manager added figures to the report to make the matter a big one. So my brother in his defence requested for all the records (SIC,BIN card, stock movement, everything) to be brought to the police station and all the remaining 6 managers be brought in to for questioning, since he doesn't have direct contact with the so called stock. ( He is the restaurant manager. He has 6 shift managers under him.)
When the police started going through the records, we also found out that the shift managers has been falsifying their records, it's these records that the shift managers bring that he uses to make his report.
God helping us, the police had to release us on bail since he's been there for more than 48 hours(Friday to Sunday). The police asked everyone including all the shift managers and him(Area manager) to come on Sunday 10am for continuation he didn't show up, they called him on Monday too 10am he didn't show up.
He has been threaten with court and all this legal stuffs sha.
But we know my brother is innocent he's just out to get him.
I don't know the kind of help I should be requesting but I just thought this is the only platform I can get real help.

Newguy999:
I am a guy, currently 22 years of age. For some time in the past I usually have occasional chest pains which comes and goes within 10 minutes. I thought it was as a result of my sugar intake as I consume soft drinks a lot with little or no exercises so I decided to cut down on my soft drink to no avail because I always end up going back to it.

Fast forward to sometime last month, I traveled to Europe to get a medical degree and when I got here, I started living on junk foods, KFC and McDonald’s as I could not cook. The chest pain came back one night and I decided to complain to my dad. Immediately I complained to him, I became conscious of it and I started fussing over it.

I went to google and everything I saw about pains in the chest always leads to cardiac arrest, stroke and dying. I couldn’t stop thinking about it, I was always trying to check my heartbeat every chance I get. My dad said it was due to the junk foods so I stopped junk foods and soft drinks as my cholesterol could be high. I still couldn’t shake off the horrible feeling I got whenever I checked my heartbeat.

I started having panic attacks and difficulties with breathing and always feeling tired. I eventually went for check up and my heartbeat showed a beat of 68 bpm. I got checked by a cardiologist, neurologist and an orthopedic doctor and they all said my vitals looked normal, blood pressure normal, blood oxygen level normal, blood sugar normal except for the orthopedic doctor who told me I had to fix my slouching posture.

It’s been a week after the check up but my life isn’t back to normal. I can’t keep complaining to my parents because I gave them quite a scare with my first complaint and I know they have their own life to live but I’m just scared, I live alone in my apartment here and I’m new so no friends yet.

Anytime I check my heartbeat it still feels irregular,I can’t enjoy the foods I use to love, I get scared of doing strenuous exercises like jogging because I’ve heard stories of people who collapsed while jogging, i don’t enjoy my sleep anymore as I read that most people with cardiac problems die in their sleep.

For a week now, I have been going for evening walks to keep fit and exercise and I only eat once a day. I eat 2 apples every day and I swallow a capsule of omega 3 fatty oil daily. The only protein I consume now is salmon or mackerel fish because of their heart strengthening capabilities.

I can’t focus on my studies anymore but I can’t complain because I don’t want to bother my parents anymore but I’m scared. Some nights I wake up with panic attacks and every morning I feel happy for sleeping and waking up successfully. I hate how flawed the human design is. Sometimes I get distracted but as soon as I feel any slight discomfort in my chest, I check my heartbeat and it feels irregular. There’s occasional sharp pains in my head that goes almost immediately and sometimes I feel blood throbbing through my veins in different parts of my body. Tomorrow I’ll be going out to get an apple series 6 watch so I can monitor my vitals better.

Sorry for the long read, I just had to let all of this out.
Go for H-Pylori or Ulcer Test ,let's see what the result looks like.
Talking from experience.
Wishing you fast recovery.

He was advised by his evil supporters that if he participated in his father's burial, he will get inheritance. That's what motivated him to try to force himself into the burial.
He contributed zero naira, zero errands for the burial.

Him and his evil supporters thought we are still living in 400 BC.

My mom is the one that has the power of administration over all assets, none of us are interested in sharing any property for now. Everyone should continue hustling. So my half brother will definitely be waiting in futility.
I knew from day 1 that this fight was all about inheritance..

Madam, the truth is you guys need to change your approach to being mechanics.

I know your major stream of income is in parts sales. When you mix the business of selling parts and fixing them, you will naturally tend to throw.parts at any problem without the burden of proper and intensive diagnosis.

You guys are guilty of throwing parts in this case. Imagine this, if he paid the original bill of 1.3m, his problems will still be there. It tells you that the diagnosis was entirely wrong.

As premium service providers, you can't afford these issues. I expected you will personally ensure that this car gets fixed even if it means using your personal resources to avoid bad publicity. You even made it worst by suggesting he sells the car he bought cheap.

4 years. He should be 40 years old this year.
There is no much battle here, because once the mother has remarried, all equations has been cancelled.

However,he still remains your father's first Son.No matter what must have happened in the past.

I will advise you look for sincere elders from your community and make them your friend and try as much as possible to let them know and why you feel the way you feel.

He already has the backing of some elders, try and get some too.in that way, your battle will be less stressful.

Finally, since your father NEVER said he should not come to his grave , allow him perform his rite under strict supervision. unless it was your father's wish on his sick bed.

But if this fight is because of the inheritance of your father, then you have a bigger battle and must tread carefully.

Above all, This is the time for you to pray very well.
