Faceless forum or not, it's not right to come here and lay yourself bare. No matter what you think u have achieved before now, it doesnt count one bit in this NNPC recruimtent. its a Federal Government Graduate Trainee recruitment and doesn't really care about your FAMED super intelligence, past achievements, or historical innuendo. If the GT slots are only for those with "supernatural" brains, then NNPC wouldnt have made it open to 2.1 and 2.2...... its a national cake and every nigerian graduate from any ethnic group or tribe and state in general has an equal right to it..

The final selection is based on several in-house factors that we and I repeat, WE do not know anything about. MARK MY WORDS, many applicants who are nothing in terms of the above listed traits (first class, Super intelligentz,, many projects achieved,, past acievements etc) will get this job and many who are already feeling like their own is too much will not get even TF not to talk more of APL. (not cursing nobody but fact) .

I see some people have even already been crowned with the APL letters by other ppl here.. nice one. some people here believe in other members in this thread more than they believe in themselves, saying things like "if Oga J**** or Oga M***** or Oga N**** don't get APL, den no hope for me (a pity).

some are just filled with negativity, anxiety and thoughts of failure because of their inferiority complex and lack of hope and they come to this thread to fill others with their fears..(and fear does spread like wildfire)

I have seen some even boasting that they might not accept the offer if they get the APL. (Wow, and yet you went through the stress from the application process down to the final stage, Kudos. And yet you are always on nairaland every day commenting and earnestly waiting for the APL with others.) I just hope those particular ones show us the Proof of their APL before they reject the offer sha.

Do YOU KNOW that data released after the application portal was closed revealed that OVER 5 million applicants applied for GT alone. u all applied and were among that number.. but only about 60 to 70 thousand applicants were invited for CBT, ( about 10k candidates were reported to be posted to each center). u went for the CBT and were among the around 9 to 10 thousand lucky ones invited for interview... why not continue believing in urself and the grace that brought you this far and stop looking for Infos, theories and comments that would only create more fear in you and increase your anxiety. Pray and believe. AND if u don't believe in any God or god, den believe in your guts...

This superficial ranking and his hyping of people here should stop. During induction a lucky first class applicant would be standing close to a lucky 2.1 applicant who would also be standing close to another lucky 2,2 applicant and you will all start from the same entry level and receive the same amount salary, ur past achievement would not count.. I know of 3 persons interviewed on July 3rd, 2019; did their CBT in Benin and who received the first alert sent not by KING-ANYAM TERHEMBA but by "ACHIMUGU FAROUK (MIS)" - whose payment is termed by flowwolf09 as the payment for the top 1% candidates from each state. Two out of three candidates are both working in one of the NNPC subsidiaries, they both hail from different oil producing states and their community produces oil for the nation. One of them is a first class candidate with a master's degree in one of the top 10 universities in the world and they both had a good interview session.

No relationship between APL and TF. A lot of theories and hypothesis has been postulated in this thread. However, the idea of feeling safe because certain persons with unique portfolio have not received alert could be a mistake bearing in mind that Nigeria is filled with so many persons with extra ordinary credentials. You would have noticed sth during this recruitment exercise that NNPC hardly gets back to unsuccessful candidates. Unsuccessful applicants who were not invited for the exam and unsuccessful candidates that did not pass the exam were not sent any message. Although both the Access Bank Claims and flowwolf09 are both hypothesis which have not been proven to be theories, I leave the audience to deliberate on which one is more logical considering the trend of things since the day of the NNPC application. Everyone will be paid eventually.

I know of certain persons with good track record - First class (1st degree) and Distinction (masters degree) from top universities in the world who were interviewed but were not selected for the 2011/2012 NNPC recruitment (some states and disciplines are so competitive that even the mighty will go down). The God factor has a lot of role to play. The beautiful thing about the 2019 NNPC recruitment is the high number of persons that will be recruited when compared to that of 2012. Everyone should hope that the number of candidates or top performers in their state and their field of specialization are few.

The recruitment that brought the last set of NNPC employees (2012) started its examination on March 19th, 2011. It was not easy for many candidates since PTDF examination date was on the same day (March 19th, 2011). NNPC exam was still on by 7.00 p.m. in the evening that candidates in some centres needed lighting facilities in order to finish their exam. As for 2011 PTDF, CBT exam was in batches and exam was still on as at 10.00 pm in the night in some centres. The duration of the 2011/2012 NNPC Interview conducted for the selected candidates (less than 5,000 candidates) lasted for more than a month. The 2019 NNPC interview (with over 9,000 candidates) lasted for just 2 weeks even when the number of those selected for the interview is far more than those selected in 2011/2012 recruitment.

In 2013, another advert was put forth for NNPC jobs. Exams were written (HB pencil option) on December 6, 2014 and candidates were sent invitation for interview that was never conducted since Ex-President Jonathan lost election to President Buhari. The current NNPC candidate selection process for 2019 was delayed till now since NNPC was awaiting the outcome of the 2019 election. The organization of the 2011 and 2014 test (HB pencil) conducted by NNPC is no where close to the way it was done in 2019 (CBT test). A job well done by the current management of NNPC.

The number of those to be employed is more than a thousand as we all know. There's a huge gap created by the cancellation of the NNPC 2014 recruitment exercise which needs to be filled up by the 2019 prospective employees. Also a lot of NNPC staff have retired spanning from 2012 till date of which the previous GMD is now one of the retirees. Wish you all the best as we expect the arrival of APL. Pls, no questions.

yes of course. If your leave is starting 1st September and ending 30th. You can tender your resignation in September just b4 you resume and that's even an advantage for you. Just while you're about to resume you send your resignation in September.

Trust me right now it's a personal choice. You can choose to go for a masters or Take NNPC Jobs...at the end of the day it all boils down to what you want in Life as an individual. Some will settle for Masters and some for NNPC job. So Choose your path wisely. NO one can make that choice for you. You have to ask yourself what's your sole objective in Life and where you want to be in the next 5 or 10 years. You will be able to make a clear decision if you ask and answer that question yourself. Me personally I have my masters & I chose to go for it even when I had offers from places like PWC, Globacom and SHELL and am presently working. It's a Personal decision though. So trust me the decision is yours to make. Choose your path wisely that's all I've got to say. Just ask yourself in 5 or 10 years where do I want to be? That's all.Thank you.

By the way, he has a tutorial recording for case studies for McKinsey and Bain and the likes called LOMS (look over my shoulder) which is very good for McKinsey interviews.. But it's very expensive. I have them though and can send to anyone interested for free. Just send a pm for that strictly.

To be honest those Case studies are nightmares, if you don't have examples to practice with and you can only get them from an ex McKinsey staffs or something like that Lolz

I don't know why most ex-'Mckinsey staffs always go into coaching new graduates for the job role as most of them now choose to resign and start up their own consulting firms, hang their boots and sit by the bench. Extremely competitive with very tough recruitment process. But easily one of the best places to work, globally.

exactly....I think their pay is around 22m per annum or there about not sure...but it's pretty competitive and a brain drain....Balancing work~Life relationship is never easy working there. If you don't have the brains for real problem solving don't bother applying lolz....I love their reception though. The guys I met there were all smart too....we still try to keep in touch.

But I just dey observe..my present pay right now is in the range of those amount being mentioned. And I have traveled home and abroad for work and I have been to all these places like, TOTAL, ExxonMobil, McKinsey, BAT etc I even worked with P & G and left even the ones that lodged me in a 4 star Hotel for my interview and paid me back my flight fair. Once had an interview in Scotland for a job and I also turned down some job offers. But las las you go dey alright trust me. Someone mentioned a hierarchy of needs. And that's what it is, where you are right now e get pple for street that only wish to be where you are today. Don't let other people's achievements put u down rather learn and build motivation from it. I don't get why we shouldn't help each other, during the exam at my center, I helped 3 persons with answers from d CBT, they were all called up for the interview.

When I got outside, the people I helped started thanking me, so the 10am batch got interested and asked me how it went, I told them every question I could remember, "withholding nothing"

Maybe, its just my nature to help people, I don't care whether the person I helped gets in and I dont, I just want to go to bed each night happy and fulfilled.
