Pls lets talk about our cars and share experiences.
I drive an infiniti for almost 10mnts now but have not been able to get a reliable mech/replacement parts.
I have issues right now with the hubs and break pads and rear discs. I also experience agressive gear change.
I have tried fixing these probs bfor now but ended up agravating them due to mech/parts reliability. I left mecerdes for infiniti owing to same challenge.
Pls ahare ur experince here.
I live in phc and will welcome any good suggestion on maintenance of my ride.

I use an infiniti m35x 2006 model.
My immediate probs is aggressive gear change and very noisy hubs. I have changed the hub at some point but its like a fake was fitted. As for the gearbox i hav not bothered to touch it because i do not want to do try ur luck with it.
I also experience acute oil shortage as a result of substabdard oil filter.
Pls let me know if u can supply me with original parts so i can fix the hub and serious shake when decelerating from any speed above 120k/hr. This happens when i step on my brake pedal on highway.

New buildings are not in anyway a reflection of an improved ecinomy. Most of the pple u ar refering to found themselves in politics in 1999 because Nigeriand tot the military wuld not go. That the so called houses sprang up in ur villages thru stealin of our commonwealth does not in any way make d economy better.

The car registration process in Rivers state is different from what obtains in other parts of the country.
When you pay for registration of a new car it usually takes at least 60 days for ur licence plate to arrive. I paid for my car registration since first week of September and am yet to get my number. To make things worse, men of the Rivers state FRSC will impound your car if you drive with a temporary number. They will book you for number plate violation. The most baffling thing here is there seem to be a total communication breakdown between tbe command and the licensing office, which is the authorised agency for vehicle registration.

I do not know what else to do. I have parked my car waiting for the mumber to come from FRSC.

Dino Melaya and Sahara Reporters have been peddling falsehood about the Cars bought by the Minister of Aviation. I checked the price of the vehicles and realized that BMW Security Vehicles only provide used vehicle prices on their website. Brochures for new one can only be downloaded on request.

But the level of political witch hunting some people exude against this minister is legendary. There is nothing we can point out as an achievement of the past 4 ministers of Aviation in this country. They controlled thesame budget, they all had the same agencies and Parastatals but they were only interested in payment of salaries and nothing else. Here comes a woman doing excellently well and giving us something to cheer and remember her for yet some people are more interested in pulling her down.

ujoinme: Safety is a process and like all processes it is dynamic! FACTS the nigerian Airspace under the current minister has experienced the most advances in upgrade of its airspace safety equipment:
1)For the first time the nigerian airspace has total radar coverage thats working TRACON.
2)We now have a functional weather reporting/monitoring station in nigeria which gives real time weather information to transport industry thereby ensuring safety.
3) For the first time in recent times all airports now have state of the arts communication systems that enable pilots to communicate with towers/control base, before the present minister GSM phones were used for this communications.
4) For the first time in the history of Nigeria we Have an aviation lab that is capable to decoding the Blackbox recording after crashes and exercise that before now was usually taken abroad and it will take months to have the recording decoded. This saves us valuable time such that when the cause of the crash is discovered it will help to improve standards to prevent future crash.
Besides the upgrades of the airport facilitates/remodelling which also on its own adds to safety as we now have efficient screening devises at the airport to ensure deterrent to nefarious characters, this present aviation minister has done more to secure/ ensure safety of the nigerian airspace than any other minister of aviation in recent times.

unfortunately, there has been two fatal plane crashes under her watch, which means that a lot still needs to be done to secure our airspace and hence the safety process must continue.

we as nigerians should seperate political witch hunting that the present minister is currently undergoing from the facts on grounds about her performance as an aviation minister which has been unequivocally stellar. and stop trivializing her performance as mere beautification of airports when in fact she has done far more!

However, I do agree that the process of air safety in Nigeria needs more oomph.

Its not true that pilots communicated with gsm befor now. If u have entered an aircraft b4 you should know that phones are switched off to avoid tower/ pilot interf. Let me ask you, what were they using b4 the emergence of gsm?

The policy is good but the environment/ enforcement is where we will have some probs. For instance, for us to truely work the talk we must have achieved the following;
Electricity
Good roads
Modern rail system (not the type we have now that travels frm kano to lagos in 30hrs)
Leaders at all levels with their heads on their neck. Not the other way round.
The leaders must demonstrate strong commitment like what used to obtain during the days of peugeot automobiles kaduna.
The policy must bar public office holders and their families frm using vehicles not manufactured/assembled in the country without hidden clauses.
Above all we the followers must make sure we dont worship thieves. I bet you with the kind of money they steal they can buy their cars frm anywhere in the world
