A lot of emotional dudes here . Bros u think NSE is a communist venture where a whistle blower will announce when to buy and when to sell so that everyone can make profit at the same time.
Oga, energy can neither be created nor destroyed. For every profit made from NSE a local or foreign investor don lose money.
Everybody here is a hunter, the difference is our temperament. Some are very patient like the crocodile e.g wanajo and pa Emma , some play the short game and then the any where belle face speculators.
If u can't stand the heat, u better leave the kitchen.

It may be harsh but I need to state the obvious. I think there is a thin line between advise and mocking people. Some bought stocks at higher prices, others bought recently and some other's would buy lower. But in all I think one thing I have seen over the weeks is the silent mockery at others that bought at presumed higher prices.

Funny thing is that is not a Nairaland thing, Its a Nigerian mentality. Under the guise of my neighbor's keeper, you rejoice in their grief. People invested their hard earned money to invest in some of this stocks, the best you can do is wait and time the market so you can buy at a lower price which is good for you. But coming on the forum and quoting too many unimaginable prices would drive away people from here.

Too much of everything is bad. Stock market Nigeria days, bear period is usually time to analyse numbers and argue based on results, not what I see here today.

It's true our understanding and comprehension levels are different sha.
*JUST THINKING ALOUD* before someone quote me now.
nne, honestly i get your drift.most people here believe that NSE is just about result analysis but dont know it is more about cycles. i know and honestly believe that agba, rabbidoracle, cp, mendes have helped me and many understand the cycle of the stock market . i believe that it is the message they intend to pass across they even gave clues on when to buy in nov-dec 2017, there comments were bullish in the bullish months of jan-feb , they even gave boys clue on when to abandon the market which many disagreed with including me. had we followed there pattern most of the unnecessary attacks here would not have come up.
again one of them have repeatedly given a clue on when to buy for the next bonanza and some people are hell bent on frustrating them out of the forum.
if u take every buy recommendation from OGG, u may not have a portfolio by 2020 . u can verify by asking people that followed myjoy word for word. grin grin grin

NSEMPA, has gradually become a very dangerous place to get an honest advice, a lot of local monkey hunters , manipulating share price and dumping massively on newbies.I guess the school fees was on advanced learning on monkey hunting.
Some converse with themselves by using different monikers expressing divergent opinion, some after after enjoying the January bullish rally want to instigate market crash by the so called domino effect, so that they can cycle again

Don't mind these praise singers. This is the same way some Nigerians were praising GEJ. The way to be patriotic is to ask tough questions of your government not praise singing and accepting at face value excuses.

People will tell you that extortion continues unabated at the ports. It's hard to change ingrained corrupt attitudes and so you need to constantly put their feet to the fire and not shower praises on government officials.

i am not saying that the seaport will be for just importation. we can export through the seaport without enriching these men. Another thing we have to note is that some of the raw materials to use for production might not be gotten from the country, it needs importation and that means there is still a need for a seaport. We can also use the port for exportation to the outside world. the good is that we have igbos all over the world. we can sell our products in igbo markets around the world and make profits from the sale.

the basic thing I need the government of the day to do is that they should build three major things and fund it to the fullest and you will see how governance will be easy in the next 10years. the governors of those years will just be sleeping:

1. Each governor should in a matter of urgency build an industrial estate: This estate should be built in such a way that any manufacturing company should be located there and they can have a central power station that will power it. this will go a long way in bringing our businessmen and intending manufacturers to see it as an opportunity to invest home. When this is done, businessmen will have to make easy business decisions to invest in the region and it will even help to centralise the industries of our state and avoid environmental pollution from different factories located in different LGAs.

2. The government should rebuild and renovate markets to world standards: It is a known fact that igbos are traders and if you think differently, you have to do some research. We need two major markets in different states in the east. One that will serve the people in the state and the one that will serve the people coming from outside the state. I know we have already known markets but they rebranding and make the name sellable. we need more international trade-fairs in the east. So that we can boost the image of these markets.

3. The government should build human capital: It is not having the population of India. Its about having the working population of China. Human resources have been shown over the years as an un-dwindling natural resources. it is always on the increase if channeled very well, the return on this investment will be great. This is what some emerging economies are doing such as China. Give your people sellable skills and let them bring money home. We have sellable skills now in the world and in hot need in the world at the moment. why not we be the experts that will audit, build roads, build some small machineries, do some programmings and solve some problems in africa and the world at large. the government should build a working population and that will to rest any form of dependency on the government.

The bane of the Blackman is myopia/shortsightedness and quick-fix to problems
Every state/region in Nigeria has squandered real opportunity for development.
The govs with SE inclusive lacked foresight and most had no economic plan.
Assuming the SE region had an economic team by 1999 with foresight , with focused investment in 3 critical areas such as transportation(railway system and a seaport), agriculture and industrialisation by now region would have been a haven for foreign investors.
I believe that if each governor contributes about 100 million Naira per month since 1999 towards a railway system that will effectively link each of the five eastern states , that by now the project would have been very advanced if not completed.this would have brought regional integration , ease in the movement of goods within the region and would have been the preffered means of transportation as all federal roads in the region is in state of disrepair.
With current decline in global oil prices, most state are running helter skelter seeking for funds to pay ordinary salary with absolutely no money to engage in any serious infrastructural development. The future is really bleak.
I pray that God would give us a second chance.

It was a public show of shame today by Biafra's agitators. It also showed that no tribe has a monopoly of violence. Since I knew anything in this country, ndi Igbo have been killed and plundered. Yet every successive governments of Nigeria have not deem it fit to come to their rescue. The current government came in excluding ndi Igbo from her kitchen cabinet. A sign of hatred. The Nigerian government must show that she care for ndi Igbo. Boko haram is there, adding Ipob's menace could only compound the FG's headache. It is advised that the FG invite our elders and find out at which point the problem started so as to forestall any further problems. That having been said, killing people is not the way out of any victimization. We should stop burning mosques and killing the Hausa. Killing per se is intrinsically evil.
Guy man u have really said nothing
This ipob protest is getting out of hand . We are seriously courting for trouble. Why the destruction of a mosque and dangote trucks yet we lament that he has no investment in the east? Do we really want to convert the south east into a war theatre like boko haram did in the north east? Have we considered the economic implication of these protests? Have we considered the plight of millions of our brothers in the north ?
Most ipob protesters boast and beat the drums of war both online and offline yet have no preparation on ground, no alliance , just nothing.
Currently in Nigeria, we are engaged in a media war with ndi-ofe, politically isolated , and now we want to destroy all the gains we have made since 1970?

Instead of peddling lies here, wouldn't it be better for some one to post pics of the permanent site "nearing "completion? Even unth enugu is about 30% complete despite being in the same category with ABU zaria. There is no worthy federal government hospital in the east, they keep on giving us shabby structures .
Nothing much has happened there , the problem is and has always been funding from the fg.
It has nothing to do with nnewi-ozubulu feud.

It can be done sir
Instead of investing in state university alone the govt should invest more in technical school.
Part of the reason Nigeria is still unindustrialized is because of lack of skilled manpower.
Anambra can decide to invest in technical school, send our bright university students for focused training in different endeavours, this would be the first step.

If only the SE have efficient rail way system connecting us to the middle belt
The railway system will ensure efficient haulage of locally made goods to the middle belt region , decrease the price of food stuff in the east as there is a wide margin in cost between SE and the middle belt regions.
If wishes were horses.......
I sincerely pray, that God almighty will help us find a way .

What we need in igboland now is an efficient railway system , not the outrageously costly monorail but a standard gauge British type railway system which was very efficient in the movement of goods around Nigeria.
A railway system connecting us to the middle belt or ebonyi to other states will help reduce the discrepancy in food price between these areas and the rest of igboland, it will also reduce the number of trucks killing and maiming innocent civilians on our roads.

The Governor obviously has no idea what his scope of work is.
But he is paying workers in the state

If those Okadas were to be Igbos I know they must take you you there because this is the route they ply but being a abookii they must have plied that route for 100 times and still can't understand anything there.

If you want to know whether Igbos love themselves visit all the international markets in Nigeria and beyond and see how Igbos help themselves.

There is different between love and suffering and smiling

Following the devastating effects of the war, 20 pound policy and indigenization policy, igbos were pauperized. Communities contributed to send people to school, individual gave out scholarship, thousands of young men were taught trade and settled and the effect is manifest ttoday.
Infact, there is no middle class igbo man that is not involved in one socialist programme ,
