The bridge was estimated to cost about 130 billion, the fg under gej paid 10billion to Julius Berger as part of the agreement of pppp.
Oshiomole last week claimed that the fg had already paid 140 billion just for consultancy and one aminu dikku , was claiming that communities around the site were agitating on account of lack of settlement .hence work may be suspended... chai wahala

Even though he became governor through rigging of election like ngige, ikpeazu has obviously demonstrated his good intentions for the state especially aba.
Imagine the paltry sum of 400m in a state like abia state ? If the erstwhile governors were up to there responsibility by as much as 50%, he would be talking about 25 to 30 billion as IGR.

I think the government is right to have 're-structured the loans, civil servants in osun are being owed as much as 8 months salary likewise some other indebted states.
Further deprivation of the civil servants of there month-end reward can trigger civil unrest which can easily spread to other parts of the federation and this will not bode well for the apc led administration.
But the government should find a way of making governors/states pay for there financial recklessness , this singular action may encourage financial irresponsibility by the governors since they know that the federal government got there back.

Reading was never our thing, our language poorly developed with no form of writing. Hence we were unable to document events, scientific discoveries, medical break through etc on which subsequent generations would build upon to contribute to the body of knowledge. These information were passed down generations by 'oral tradition'.

The arguments for and against airport is caused by the creation of state which has caused artificial boundary between heretofore brothers with common goal..if it were before the creation of states the asaba airport would have sufficed for anambra , but alas , we r in the era of winner take it all with fierce competition between states..a good % of the patronage @both enugu and asaba airports are from businesses in anambra, and the state can't afford to lose such revenue to neighbouring states

Such Universities should have a particular program they will be known for e.g. Engineering( Automobiles, Aviation, Petroleum), Agriculture
etc

I think what the SE ( anambra) needs is a well funded , state of the art technical school that will churn out technicians necessary for industrial revolution and unlock the potentials of ingenious ibo men . This is the surest way to kick start and sustain industrialization.
Most university graduate are either unemployable , or adapted for white-collar jobs .industries are sustained by technicians.if in doubt go to any serious industry in 9ja and study the composition of there work force.
The unfortunate truth is that in the midst of 170 million Nigerians we lack skilled man power, hence in most industries and site of road construction u always see a white Caucasian or asian overseeing the Nigerian employees even graduates
If the shoe makers in aba can receive such formal training imagine the quality of shoes they would make by now they would have gone global

Eastern businesses are lagging behind so much in national and global platform, Innoson and Ibeto need to challenge thise handicap no matter how small they appear they should first list on the exchange so that people will start seeing them as a corporate entity.
