agwom: About 40 percent of medical doctors in Nigeria are are unemployed, Chairman, Federal Capital Territory branch of the Nigeria Medical Association, Ekpe Phillips, has said. Ekpe, a gynaecologist at the Nyanyan General Hospital said this in Abuja yesterday at a roundtable discussion on accountability for maternal health in Nigeria organized by the Women Advocates Research and Documentation Centre, in Partnership with the National Human Rights Commission.
He said: “Many of them are employed by private hospitals that are not even paying them enough because of the economy. We don’t have enough doctors and the ones we have are not being utilized.
“The manpower issue is that government is not engaging the needed health personnel. We need to make the place conducive. As you build the primary healthcare centres, make accommodation available, electricity and make life conducive for the workers.” Executive Director, WARDC, Abiola Afolabi, said, maternal mortality could be successfully reduced “if we put women’s rights at the centre of the equation.”

Kai! I wish my visa was approved, my thinking will be how to give back to this thread and also move on in life.... Now I'm left with no choice than to watch grown men and women argue over trivial issues... kai But the truth be told I know the mod is also viewing this thread and any sight of unnecessary post and information will surely be erased by the mods. So, I see no need to argue on this issue becus juswise is very active and can tell when a thread is bin derailed.. Kai!..........."sorry I can't approve your" You should know the rest |

(vo cuts in again )
VO: please hold on (gets on the phone and a superior appears and they turn off the microphone so I can’t really hear what they are saying and looking at the screen) Turns back after a few minutes, with the superior still standing and both looking at me

sharwama: Delay is not denial and it is certainly not the end of the world. If you want to kill yourself, that's totally fine. Living is a choice we make every day despite everything life throws at us. People fall, people rise, people laugh, people cry. Life is not a fairy tale, there are no genies granting our wishes or fairy godmothers waving wands to please us. I got my visa at the first attempt and so what? My friends got theirs at 2nd, 3rd and 6th, and so what? We all succeeded eventually and that's all that matters. We won! The time frame is irrelevant, the triumph is everything. Ultimately, I bind and cast every negative vibe, I purify and sanctify this thread with as much positivity as the universe holds. May the force be with us! Good one with those words and I appreciate. But what can pacify me now is my Alcohol! Kai! I weep 4 Nigeria All those months of stress and money just to be finalise by 1 - 2 mins interview Man pikin don suffer! ooooo |
