Thanks bro. But immediately the incident happened, the charger was plugged with d laptop. I quickly removed it then clean the surface and inserted the battery back and it didn't power on.

I spoke with engineer I bought it from, he said I shouldn't have put the battery back and the charger might have complicated the issue.

He told me to sundry it and insert the battery before powering it on but I am afraid to do that right now cos the intensity of sun wasn't High today.

That's a laptop with a dedicated graphics card although I don't know the size of the dedicated graphics card, it's NVIDIA, and NVIDIA graphics card laptops are quite pricey. It's a steal for that price. Just make sure it's not stolen or it doesn't have issues, other than that, it's an awesome deal.

That aside,I always advice users to always shutdown properly especially if you're going to leave it on sleep mode for more than 10mins.

You can remove the battery and see, since the CMOS battery is in the laptop battery itself.
The normal screwdriver won't lose it, you'll have to get a an Allen key screw driver.

Hi everyone,
Last night, after doing a few document with my laptop, I closed the lid and left my charger in it. This morning I woke up to continue with my work only to find out that my laptop fan was spinning which has never happened. So, I turned on my laptop, the keyboard lights turns on but the screen won’t. Also, the keyboard lights goes off after a few seconds except for the yellow light on the wiFi key.

I will get a screw driver and remove the battery and clip it again. I don’t know if this could help. Anyone faced this issue before? I need help my people.

Engineer pls help my life o… my hp folio 9480 system wouldn’t boot up at first. The fan would spin but nothing came up on the screen. I took the system to two engineers here in Imo State and they confirmed I needed a motherboard change. Last week I spent 52k for motherboard + 11k for new hdd because it seemed the hdd also crashed and after that the system worked well.
Fast forward to today, less than a week I changed the motherboard, I was trying to run small code on Vscode that’s when system just went blank again. This time, the fan didn’t even spin. I plugged the system to power, no charging light, nothing. Few seconds after with the charger plugged in, I started perceiving burnt smell from the inside system.

In Intel, there are generations and also Amd. Now let do simple counting.

Let us count from 1, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. Now according to this, 1 is the smallest number right? Followed by two, three 4 all the way to 10. Now let say I buy core i3 that is no more 5. Let make up a name and call it Corei3 5100U.
Then your friend buys core i7. Which should be better than core i5 because you must count 6 before you get to it. Then your friend is a novice and got core i7 1001U which is the first number in the corei7. Can you see you're now 4 numbers ahead of him, you're definitely faster. So in CPU, you should focus more on the generations and not the core etc. the i there means nothing. Core i3 of number 10. Let's say core i3 10110U will beat a core i7 8th number, because the core i3 is 2 numbers ahead. If you buy ddr4 1600mhz speed you can't beat a person with 3200mhz speed. You need to check the speed at which the rams write.

Now graphics card is what handles the gaming, you can have a low end CPU but good graphics card, although it will bottleneck the GPU, but you can game.

If you want a CPU for multitasking then go with AMD those guys are beast. If you need a single core performance, then go with Intel.

Finally, let me warn you ahead. You will feel like giving up many times. Infact, you will feel like you cannot know it or the things you need to learn are so much. Everyone feels that way. The moment you start feeling like you know everything, it is a simple sign that you have not learnt anything new in a while.

Dont give up.
