Hello All,

I appreciate everyone on the information shared here. pls, I need your thoughts and contribution here. i want to apply for a France tourist visa for my mum, am not in Nigeria and will be the one sponsoring her travel. She has a shop by the street where she sells her market. She has never worked for anyone and so does not have a pension certificate. Her small business is not registered. what supporting documents apart from my bank statement and letter of sponsorship do you suggest I add to her application? She is 61 years old.

Thanks.

Has anyone paid for courier delivery of passport at TLS Contact recently? My aged mother just got charge 80k (Naira) for courier delivery from Lagos to Enugu. I was wondering if that is normal. Their website says 12k and I understand if that price is outdated seeing the economy, but 80k is insane IMO.

Anyone done this recently?

pls am trying to apply for my 62-year-old mum, she is a small business owner but her business is not registered. she did not ever work as a civil servant. pls, what did you add or suggest I add in the placement of the pension certificate? i will be the one sponsoring her and will be adding my sponsorship letter and statement of account.

why do people keep saying over 9m...agent said 60grand aud and that's equivalent to 15m
well I think it depends on your annual tuition added to the expected living expenses which is roughly 20000 dollars per annum

Anyone coming into Melbourne this June should holla me.

Response to some questions raised.

I'm in Melbourne. Rmit .

Yes I didn't know how to drive before leaving Nigeria. The last assignment in Nigeria was to learn driving.

Driving here is not about obeying the traffic light. There are other things u must observe as a driver else u will be fined. Back in Nigeria we don't always belt up.

Public Transport system here is not all that good. Sometimes I get a job to resume at 5.45am and the train starts at 5.25am. How can I get to a far distance of 1hr 30mins under 20mins. Whoever has money for car should get one upon arrival.

Next question.

My certification includes
White card( construction
Fire safety cert
Food handling
First aid certificate
Other checks are police check, working with children check.

1.Whoever is coming here should come with enough energy not just money or eguisi.

2. U ve two options if u are a man. Locate an African church or locate any fat oyibo woman.
I ve both .

3. If u are a handsome man in Nigeria that use to like to rub powder. Just thruway that powder because u are not coming here to form fine boy or pink lips but to hustle because u must pay bills.

4. Be rest assured that u must triumph here. Australia is a land of victory and opportunities. Cast away ur fears

so what options do u have as a woman.

This shouldn't be happening o! As someone said you should ask for refund policies and again that won't be the best cos I'm so sure of it that from ur immi account showing assessment in progress, the next is finalized and have visa granted upon providing the SOA... you can use a relative as sponsor who has a foreign account like I used from a Norwegian who accept to sponsor me and I got the statement translated to English for embassy use.

how were u able to defend using the account as the norwegian isnt ur relative

Hello guys.
I arrived Australia 1 month ago and til today no job. Pls my advice to those coming in is to make it a must that u know how to drive .
Every job here requires certification. Even if it's to pack shit.
Again, Pls any guy who wishes to get a sustaining job must be physically fit. When I say fit, I don't mean boxing or fighting skill with Lagos conductor . U must be ready to stand and work at least 8hours.

White people are very strong. I mean they work out alot
I got a job and I was to offload containers. I did it for 3days and I ran. This was because I wasn't used to hard labour back home.

One good thing about this place is that once u ve finished ur certifications u start getting jobs.
.under 1month I have done up-to 5 certifications to increase my chances.

Pls whosoever is coming here should have at least 2000aud. Because e no easy o at first o. E no easy o. I repeat e no easy.
bros u no tell us ur city naa and your course but anyway, thats a wonderful advice.

I am not studying at UNE but I can say the few things I know about Armidale.

It's a small and quiet city compared to Tamworth and other larger cities. There are a few jobs here and there but there are also lots of students available to work. It might be easy to get disability support jobs if you have a licence and a car. I am not sure about aged care jobs but I know there are a few nursing homes.

On the bright side, there is a glass house tomato farm in Guyra, about 45km from Armidale. They employ lots of people but from what I heard, they don't take students for the first time except during the Summer long break.

What else? Accommodation is really cheap in Armidale compared to the bigger cities. A 2 bedroom unit costs about 220 per week. Flatshare is also relatively cheap. Then, temporary accommodation is also easy to get while you look for a place more long term.
am a Nigerian registered nurse, do u think studying there will favor me jobwise as a student?

Hello friends and families, please I wrote IELTS last month & my results were LRW (7), S(7.5) with the intention if migrating to AUSTRALIA, BUT I discovered that the procedure is giving me much headaches, please, are there other countries that I can try with lesser distress.
Note: I will love to move with my family ( husband & two kids who are 9 months & 2+).
I will cherish your advice.
Thanks.

what kind of headache. since u have the required ielts score and u have ur money for the bridging course, why not take it easy and do it once and for all. I heard Australia has lots of opportunities. All the countries will definitely give u some hard times but u look at the reward at the end. pls I tap into these your ielts result.

not yet, I'm scared of spending a lot of money on the ielts test but if i do decide to risk it then i would apply to alberta. Better pay, less tax, beautiful state. I would also consider going through Omni college if the dollars is made available.
Do you want to start your canadian registration now? [/quote]

pls barbie or any one In the house know any thing about Germany since USA is now a no go area, lets try that side .

go for PTE,I took it on a Thursday got my result on a sat got an 88 out 90 overall, first sitting, its about 55k if you buy the voucher in naija(about 37k if you pay with Ur card but not naija cards)

My advice goto PTE official website and check for centres in your state, goto to any centre closest to you, buy the voucher from them and fill it or give them #1000 to fill it for you, INSTEAD of going to all these littered scam agents,
N.B: you can write the exam 2days after registration and the result comes out before 5working days, mine took 2days.

also download the PTE simulation software and practice till you become perfect repeatedly, the software gives correction and has same interface with the main exam.

PLS I CANT DOWNLOAD THE SOFTWARE, HOW DID YOU GO ABOUT IT
