If truly we have sensible, God fearing, reasonable and charitable people here, we ll all see that its so dishearten and wicked, wicked in the fact that no adequate or plight sharing effort was made by the employers to enlighten or encourage these workers to atleast restore the their confidence and hope, knwing dat dis was a festive period. And that so many already have great responsibilities. So if any1 should render a cause to them , believe me when I say that heaven ll hear and respond adequately because it is state in the Bible that the a worker should not b denied of their wages even for a day, but here we are going to 6 whole month. The ES of ikwerre lga came to my school today precisely 12.06 pm and asked after d new teachers. He started by saying that was on a errand frm his oga frm d board, and said that we should jst b patient for a little while dat we should knw that recruitment is still and dat because ameachi has now increas the no frm 13000 to 17000, they are still battling wit d posting of teacher to schs. He stated that not withstanding we ll receive our pay soonest, dat he has jst gotten the bank sorte-code for one of d bank(stanbic) and is waiting for the oda bank(Ecobank) to bring ders, then payment ll start.the reason been dat he don't want the teacherd to stat harassing their head/principals for nt sending der nominal role on tym.

For d salary dude, no teacher knw for sure hw much d salary will be, but all I do knw is dat rivers teachers are d most paid in nigeria followed by lagos. So expect somtyn better, but note dat NCE(L7, S2) has different salary frm B.Sc(L8,S3) and also different frm B.Ed(L8,S4) and also different frm PGDE(L9, S4 ) holder. So hope frm 50 to 70k. Hope I've put ur mind at rest?

Hopesweet: lt is not possible. If your qualification is B.sc, B.ed, B.Tech or any bachelor degree, u're only entitled to teach in secondary sch, 4rm jss1 -ss3. Then it's only NCE and TC11 holders that are meant to teach in primary sch. This is because in college of education they offered numerous courses, to enable them teach all the subjects at a time. But in the university,faculty of education, u only specialize in ur core discipline ,which means, as a graduate u can only teach what u study in sch, becos u were trained on that, and not to teach all the subjects, as it is done in primary sch.This is in-line with education policy in Nigeria.
