Politics / A Communique By The People Of Nkwerre Ancient Community by OGreat20(m): 7:08pm On Aug 16, 2019
Based on the rumors spreading on social media concerning the Leadership of His Royal Highness, EZE BARR. CHIJOKE OKWARA, IV, the Eshi of NKwerre Ancient Kingdom, a vote of confidence was reaffirmed on him by the indigenous people of Nkwerre Ancient Kingdom; bringing those who where bent on disrespecting the throne to their knees.

Politics / PRESS RELEASE: Some Dissidents Of Nkwere Trying To Defile The Traditional Ruler by OGreat20(m): 9:11am On Jul 23, 2019
PRESS RELEASE

This is to announce to the general public regarding the sacrilegious and  deceitful crafty blackmail released by the enemies of the progress of our great kingdom Nkwerre in Imo State, Nigeria which is going viral on social media.

This is a matter of power intoxication by a certain group of people whose plan is to take over the kingdom leadership through illegal means and falsehood...

Also to inform the general public on the true situation of things, and urge that all false allegations made public must be  disregarded. Nkwerre kingdom is at peace.

Nze Samuel Akano is a known fraudster amongst the Igbo community in the U.S.A, a corrupt and incompetent former President General of NAU who scammed Nkwerre indigenes in the United State of their hard earned money. He collected money under false pretence for "annual dues" but the money earmarked for development never made its way to Nkwerre Aborigines Union, Central Bank account till date. Is that not a Criminal Act?

In the same United Stated, Nze Akano was presented with a minor case between two Nkwerre citizens in Chicago, instead of presiding over the case without bias, he played a partisan role which is contrary to the custom and belief of Nkwerre people, both home and abroad, a crafty attempt to establish a base and followers to be used in his future fight against the Throne. He is doing just that now..

In his attempt to ostracize a native son of Nkwerre who was the complainant,  the case exploded on his face and ended up in the United States Court and went onto the Appeals Court too; Nze Officer Eric O'Suoji Vs NAU-USA.

To the Glory of God, the verdict was in favor of Nze Officer Eric O'Suoji.

For many years, Nze Samuel Akano allowed his negative desperation for power drag Nkwerre down, thereby putting himself before his community.

Chief Allison Ikwuagwu became his accomplice because "Birds of the same feather flock together."

Said write up going viral on social media against the throne of Nkwerre occupied by HRH EZE BARR. CHIJIOKE OKWARA was maliciously concocted with the intent to blackmail Nkwerre Traditional Ruler.

Chief Allison Ikwuagwu was appointed the president of NNANATO, he turned around and baptised himself; "Onye Ishi NNANATO and refused to call for election after his tenure ended. Instead he stated that the position was for life, WHAT A TYRANT! And The Throne has no right  to dictate to him.

The good people of Nkwerre kingdom are solidly behind our King HRH EZE DR. CHIJIOKE OKWARA and have  publicly rejected these individuals and their mischievious actions.

The King of Nkwerre Ancient Kingdom HRH EZE DR. CHIJIOKE OKWARA is known for his peaceful nature, a King who cannot tolerate any person or group of persons who want to ruin the kingdom for a selfish interest.

Politics / Bayelsa Guber In View; War Of Words Between Sylva And Lokpobiri Over APC Ticket by OGreat20(m): 6:58am On Jun 13, 2019
Lokpobri To Tympriye Sylva

Timpriye Silva is not my godfather, when I was the Speaker in 1999, Silva was a special assistance to Alamieyeseigha and when I came to the Senate, he became a Governor. I must consider, Silva was in APC before me, he may also have facilitated my appointment as minister, that doesn't make him my godfather.

In 2007 while he got elected to be governor I got elected to be a Senator in 2011 we work together with him as candidate and with me for Senate - Channels TV (Hard Copy)

Timi-Sylva To Heineken Lokpobiri

It is disrespectful to the hive of political history and a shameful thing to see how zealous some followers can become under their masters, Heineken Lokpobiri is an example of a bad political error for going all out on air to say I 'Timi-Sylva' is not his godfather.

And yet he still has good reminiscent memory of how he enjoyed his ministerial appointment which he got through the influence of someone he disclaims not be his godfather.

Heineken Lokpobiri is suffering from 'political javelin delinquency' and truly we will want to agree with Timi-Alaibe that Heineken Lokpobiri has the tendency of biting the hand that feeds him and any system that mold him might suffer the consequences.

Lokpobiri is an ingrate that forgets so soon and he will be brought back to reality because he is not the fit for such political moves he emerges to make. However, he should be rest assured that the good people of Bayelsa needs someone with true desire and love to lead them and not a betrayer.

Politics / INEC, A Tool In The Hand Of A Known Bayelsa Notorious Gang Leader( Dennis Otiot) by OGreat20(m): 4:10pm On Apr 29, 2019
INEC, A tool for the APC?

It's obvious that INEC has proven to show the whole world on how it cannot be trusted in terms of handling the electoral affairs to the best of its abilities; as to be fair and transparent and not choose to play favoritism

INEC should know that SIIB is only requesting for the audience of the Bayelsa state REC and EO, and not the INEC ad-hoc staff, on the cause of why have they refused to release the material requested for in order to prove the PDP to prove their case in the Bayelsa State National and House of Assembly elections while in court.

Let it be stated that no sin has been committed by the PDP in requesting for the report and materials of the election from INEC as its clearly seen in section 77(1) which states that 'the resident electoral commissioner is required to issue election documents or its certified copies within 14 days upon application by any party to an election petition'

In view of facts, The People Democratic Party (PDP) have requested for these materials on the 7th and 12th of March 2019 respectively and as of today 29th of March 2019, it still has not been provided. These piece of information or materials are needed to aid the ongoing tribunal case.

From mere deduction of points, the INEC is on the verge of subverting the rules of law and it will not help the present situation of the country, because they have ceased from playing their designated role entrusted in their hands by the citizens.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should give its attention to a piece of credible information and be also guided by its oath of office and the constitution

The All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain Barr. Dennis Otiotio is just playing its part as a loyal watchdog of his party. He is somewhat contrary embittered with the People Democratic Party (PDP) grip and foothold in the state despite all attempt to frustrate the February 23rd electoral process in favour of his party.

Barr. Dennis has no good intention for towering the state but rather leading its own people into a cataclysmic fall, he is not in concern of whatsoever comes out of the situation.

Concisely, he is having a fictitious display undercover which is to use in restraining the state commissioner from doing its work, however, the newly appointed commissioner is a disciplined person, unlike the gun runner (Barr. Otiotio Dennis) whose past shows no sign whatsoever of equity and truth.

We urge the INEC to retrace their steps in doing what is just and right. The mandate of the people is not for a selected few to decide but for the people themselves, therefore INEC should make the truth their priority.

Politics / Why Secondus Asked For Prof. Mahmood's Resignation-aides by OGreat20(m): 4:41pm On Feb 16, 2019
The attention of the media office of the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been drawn to the dubious attempt by All Progressives Congress, APC , and their few sympathizers to compare the scandalous postponement of 2019 general election to that of 2015.

In doing that the spine doctors chose to be economical with truth by not presenting the correct situation but instead chose to misled our international friends and gullible public with their lies.

According to a statement from his media adviser, Ike Abonyi, the 2015 postponement was done six clear days to the Election Day and Nigerians and international observers were not yet mobilized for it, unlike the 2019 that was four hours to the election time when all Nigerians and local and international election observers were mobilized to the constituencies.

Also in 2015 the reasons adduced for the postponement was security which the security chiefs defended by listing the dangerous areas but even at that the INEC then through their Chairman Prof. Attahiru Jega declared their readiness but was only bowing to security advisories.

For records, and for the benefit of international observers, in 2015 the then INEC Chairman Prof Jega announced the postponement on February 8 for the election that was scheduled for February 14, 2015 exactly one week away.

The National Chairman's call for Prof. Yakubu's resignation is a standard practice all over the World that somebody who fails to deliver in such highly sensitive assignment should give way to another person since he is not the only person in the commission
After all the INEC boss was assuring the World as at friday afternoon that the commission was ready for the February 16 poll even when he knew as a fact that the commission was having logistics challenges in the delivery of materials and he never consulted any stakeholder on it

Prince Secondus said that in 2015 Prof Jega consulted with various stakeholders including civil society groups and political parties before rescheduling the date.

The National Chairman was therefore right that Prof Yakubu is liable and an accomplice in this APC grand conspiracy to undermine the nation's democracy by creating confusion among the electorates.

Politics / No Amount Of Blackmail Can Dim My Towering Profile- Hon Michael Enyong by OGreat20(m): 9:51am On Feb 28, 2018
By Francis Etuko

The member representing Uyo/Uruan/ Nsit Atai/ Ibesikpo Asutan Federal Constituencies, Hon. Michael Enyong has drawn the attention of Nigerians to the mischief of those he terms political assassins who are bent on destroying his well established political carrier and rising profile in Akwa Ibom politics by generating false internet pictures with the claim that he allegedly impregnated a certain woman whom he paid off to terminate a pregnancy.

Speaking with some journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, Hon Enyong said “no amount such pictures would cow him from going on with his policy of reaching out to his constituents who have never had it so good in the history of representation constituencies under his watch have been receiving”.

The Akwa Ibom lawmaker while explaining to newsmen the mischief perpetrated by his political enemies explained that some persons opened a facebook account with the fictitious name” Emem Etinah”, with which hatchets job of damaging his political image were being done.

According to him, an internet generated picture of an expectant mother from the website of the World Health Organization, WHO was circulated on the internet by a fictitious blog post, where it was reported that the lawmaker got a woman (Reginald Christopher) pregnant and had paid her three hundred thousand naira (N300,000.00) to terminate the pregnancy which the woman in question failed to do, the woman was said to have emerged again to blackmail the lawmaker forcing him to path with another seven hundred thousand naira (N700,000.00).

Enyong at the briefing on Tuesday evening showed journalists the pictures of three expectant women with the woman from the far right position wearing a pink T-shirt, said to be his alleged estranged mistress. The picture in question was actually lifted from the WHO website and was used to explain how Women in Africa were successfully taking malaria drugs without having side-effects.

His words “I did not want to react to these whole issue but my friends and well wishers have advised I at least do a rejoinder to set the record straight. I am seeing pictures of a woman whom they claim is named Reginald Christopher”.

“The whole story emanated from a fake face book account of one Emem Etinah, we began to do some search, what they did was to mechanically lift the picture of the young woman and skewed a story to give the impression that I impregnated her. The whole story is false”.

“ The woman in question is using a pseudo name, but being a member of a very strategic committee in the House of Representatives I had to deploy the mechanism of some security agencies who dug into the matter, before it was finally discovered that some mischief makers were at work”.

“People should ask Emem Etinah what do you stand to gain? If people feel I am a threat to them, then let’s meet on the field”

“In as much as I want this to die out naturally, it is only rational that I insist that the security agencies get to the bottom of this particular development”

“Anyway, I forgive them, because I know that they won’t attempt this kind of prank again”.

WATCHDOG news however discovered that some politicians who are not happy with the action of Enyong may be behind the matter.

Our investigation uncovered the fact that the lawmaker recently endorsed a different candidate for the State House of Assembly, due to what Enyong termed non performance of the house member presently occupying the seat.

When confronted on the matter the lawmaker simply clarified “ I represent my people well and if I cannot deliver my four wards in the next election due to non performance of a certain person then I don’t know local politics”

“The primary assignment of a lawmaker is to make laws, the issue with empowerment is secondary, if as a lawmaker I have no record of ever sponsoring a motion or bringing a Bill for approval, then tell me what am I doing here, it’s that simple”. He said

Crime / Ex- Transport Union Official Accused Of Murder Released By Police by OGreat20(m): 4:26pm On Feb 21, 2018
Former chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers, (NURTW) Alhaji Akani Olorunwa who was arrested last week following his indictment by a suspect arrested over killings of rival officials of the union has been released by the police.

But Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Chike Godwin Oti, told Saharareporters that he had not been briefed about the release of the murder suspect.

He, however, promised to get the information across as soon as the facts are available.

A source told Saharareporters that Mr. Olorunwa was released on Monday based on the agreement he had with the Police that he will always make himself available for questioning in the ongoing murder investigation.

Mr. Olorunwa was arrested in relation to the murder of Ganiyu Ayinla alias Pinero.

Pinero was assassinated at Idumota area of Lagos, on January 23, 2018, after a meeting of the union.

Pinero and his boss, Azeez Lawal (AKA Kunle Poly), the NURTW chairman of Idumota chapter, were coming from a meeting where they had gone to discuss the annual Idumota Day when the assassins, totaling four in number, waylaid and opened fire on their car. But Kunle Poly who was said to be the target of the assassins luckily escaped as he was not in the car when the killers came.

Adeola Williams, aka Ade Lawyer, a suspect who was arrested in relation to the killing weeks after later confessed to have been paid by Mr. Olorunwa to carry out the assassination.

He also confessed that Kunle Poly was the target of the assassination, though the assassins missed him and killed his personal personal assistant instead.

A source told this website that on the day Pinero was killed, he was in an attire similar to that of his boss, hence the mistaken identity.

“Ade Lawyer must have thought that it was Kunle Poly who was in the car because they wore the same cloth that day. It is common practice for Pinero and Kunle Poly to wear the same cloth. They are tight friends and they go out together a lot. When they go for parties, they wear the same cloth and they are always together,” the source told Saharareporters.

The national leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) paid a condolence visit to the family of the late former Vice President, Dr Alex Ekwueme, on Wednesday in Enugu.

The delegation, led by the National Chairman of the party, Mr Uche Secondus, was received at the Independence Layout residence of the deceased by his wife, Mrs Beatrice Ekwueme.

Secondus said in their condolence message that the death of Ekwueme was not just a loss to the party in particular, but to Nigeria and Africa in general.

He said the party felt his demise, adding that the former vice president will always be in their memory.

“Our party has lost a great man who midwifed the formation of this party but we are encouraged that he has completed what God wanted him to do.

“We are here to condole with the family. The party will be part of the funeral arrangement till interment,” he said.

Secondus described Ekwueme as a detribalised Nigerian, who commanded great respect from all sections of the country.

“In 1998, he worked tirelessly and because of the respect he commanded he endeared himself to people who trooped out to form the PDP.

“He led a life of integrity and showed the young and old that politics can be played without bitterness,” he said.

The PDP national chairman noted that the deceased hard work would remain fresh in the minds of Nigerians.

The Chairman, Board of Trustees of the party, Alhaji Walid Jibrin, described Ekwueme as a man of honour and integrity.

Jibrin said the deceased led a simple life and believed in the unity of the country.

“I knew him during the second republic and the relationship endured,” Jibrin said.

Responding on behalf of the family, the daughter of the deceased, Mrs Chidi Onyemelukwe, expressed delight receiving the delegation.

She said that her father was a good party man who believed in the ideals of PDP, adding that the party is synonymous with her father.

She advised the leadership of the party to go back to the core values of the party to make it supreme.

“It will be wonderful if the party instills discipline in members. The party should be supreme and I am sure that if this is done my father will be happy wherever he is.

“Thank you for honouring my father. May his ideals hold sway in the party and Nigeria in general and may power indeed belong to the people as we say,” Onyemelukwe said.

Newsmen that other dignitaries in the delegation include the National Organising Secretary of the party, Col. Austin Akobundu (rtd.), former PDP chairman, Chief Okwesilieze Nwodo, former Senate President, Chief Adolphus Wabara.

Politics / Ohaneze Says Proscription Of IPOB Not Backed By Logic by OGreat20(m): 2:31pm On Jan 19, 2018
The President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo has berated the judicial system for allowing itself to be used for “unlawful and political ends”

Reacting to the federal high court affirmation of IPOB’s proscription, Nwodo accused the Attorney General of bias.

“Sadly, the Federal Attorney General in his parochialism, unmitigated bias and calumny has not found it necessary to classify Fulani herdsmen as terrorists, in spite of their classification by the Global Terrorist Index as the fourth deadliest terror organization in the world”.

“Ohaneze frowns at this nepotism, this denigration of our judiciary and this stigmatization of our children”

Also, another Igbo group. Aligbo Development Foundation, ADF, said the court decision sounded like a political statement.

President of the group, Timothy Nwala berated the judiciary for failing to show any form of rationality.

“The declaration sounds like a political statement, legal declarations are born out of sound logic. I doubt if there is any rational thought in this case”.

“There was no rational basis for the verdict. The world knows what they are doing. If Fulani marauders are not terrorists, I wonder what the world would say”

Politics / I Have No Rift With Governor Udom- Akpabio by OGreat20(m): 9:41am On Jan 16, 2018
By Francis Etuko

The Senate Minority Leader and Senator Representing Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, Godswill Akpabio says media speculations that he was embroiled in a rift with his successor Governor Udom Emmanuel is nothing but insinuations and the handiwork of political jobbers.

In a statement circulated by Senator Akpabio’s Special Assistant on Media, Anietie Ekong, the former Akwa Ibom state Governor says he is satisfied with the performance of Governor Udom Emmanuel as he cannot be engaged in a feud with an administration his Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District played a significant role to ensure its emergence.

“It is obvious that the concerns raised by the Senator during the end of the year stakeholders meeting organized by the Deputy Governor that all was not well was misunderstood and political jobbers sought to feast on it”.

“What the Senator said was that their House should be put in order so that the votes from Ikot Ekpene senatorial district would be put intact for Governor Emmanuel in the next election”.

“Senator Akpabio is satisfied that the areas of concerns raised by the stakeholders which were further explained by the governor during the follow-up meeting with him to the satisfaction of stakeholders present at the meeting were receiving the attention of the government” the statement read.

Akapabio commended Governor Emmanuel for working with security agencies to eliminate a notorious militant, Akaninyene Jumbo alias Iso Akpafid who has killed many citizens of Ukanafun LGA and its environs and rendered many refugees in the last one year, which he noted was another area of concern by stakeholders of Ikot Ekpene senatorial district.

He said with the killing of the hoodlum peace would return to that part of the senatorial district.

The statement stressed that Senator Akpabio had consistently pointed out that Ikot Ekpene senatorial district would stand by Governor Emmanuel and pledged the support of the people towards the re-election of the governor with its over 500,000 votes.

The statement cautioned those making inciting statements to create a wedge between the Senator and the Governor to desist from it as they were only doing so for their personal benefit.

Akpabio sued for peace in the state and advised politicians to desist from politics of hatred and blackmail which would not augur well for the Unity of Akwabasi-Ibom state.

Politics / Sagay Calls For Immediate Probe Of AGF by OGreat20(m): 1:37pm On Jan 10, 2018
The Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption Prof Itse Sagay, SAN has called for the immediate probe of the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, SAN.

Sagay who recently spoke to a national daily said Malami’s role in the return of Chairman of the Task Team on Pension Reforms, Abdul Rasheed Maina, was disappointing.

He stressed that the AGF was either naïve or complicit and the Presidency needed to take immediate action.

His words “ As the Attorney General, you met a fugitive who is wanted for a very heinous crime of depriving thousands of elderly people of their rights, you don’t for any reason, go to hold discussions with such a person”.

“Your job should be to extradite and try him”. “He compromised himself by meeting with him. He says he didn’t write any letter regarding the reinstatement of Maina but the letter emanated from his ministry. So, let the President investigate the Attorney General”.

Politics / Malami What Are You Afraid Of - Senate by OGreat20(m): 4:25pm On Jan 09, 2018
By Francis Etuko

The Senate has expressed shock over the recent role of the Attorney General of the Federation, Mr Abubakar Malami who recently approached the Court in attempts to stop the Senate from carrying out a forensic inquiry into circumstances surrounding the recall of the former Chairman Pension Reform Committee, AbdulRasheed Maina into the federal civil service.

In a statement by the Chairman Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi the Senate is wondering why Malami has taken upon himself the responsibility of trying to stop the legislature from carrying out its constitutional role.

"We are wondering what the AGF is afraid of. When he appeared before our committee, he was well received and fairly treated”. “He indeed expressed his happiness with the protection given to him by the committee handling the Maina case”.

“Why then is it very important and urgent for him to stop the investigative hearing, what is the AGF trying to hide”

"Let it be known that the legislature has the power of investigation on all institutions, bodies and individuals, particularly those who access funds that have been appropriated by us”. “We however expressed our commendation to the judiciary for upholding the principles of separation of powers and insisting on fair hearing”.

“We believe that is the reason why the judge refused to grant the prayers of the AGF yesterday and rather insisted that the National Assembly should be put on notice and served all the court processes so that we could enter our own defence”.

"While we respect the position of the court and would respond accordingly, the Senate has further directed the committee investigating the Maina issue to expedite action and submit their reports on time”.

The Senate believes Nigerians are interested in knowing the how, who, why and where of what is now known as the 'Maina Gate'. We definitely will not allow those who want the facts buried to prevail", Abdullahi stated.

You need to travel to these countries in order to know what they celebrate cool
sureheaven:
Our leaders celebratin end of the year as if it's an achievement. I've not heard of any governor in US, Canada, Great Britain, japan, Sweden or other countries with good economy celebrating end of the year.
