Even before 1st batch was released, I told u that VC told something, though some of u doubted but u can all remember, My word according to what he told me is now reflecting "large number of excellent candidates competing for our management programs"

But when will u guys be resuming if u are eventually admitted?

But when will this year's aspiring lasu students resume, next year September or what?

If I apply to lasu, will it terminate my chosen school I.e will funaab be cancelled as my school of choice?

increase of the acceptance fee payable by the
newly admitted student of the University of ilorin.
The student Union boss Comrade Ishowo Yakub
has spoken barely 24 hours after the provisional
admission list as well as the acceptance fees was
made available to the public on the university’s
website.

It was a shock when I checked the school site
yesterday to see that the Acceptance fees for the
newly admitted students is 20k, the first thing that
came to my mind was,” is there anything the
union
can do? The reason for this question is, as
provided
in the constitution of Students’ Union, members of
the union are all matriculated students of the
university and the students concerned are non
matriculated students.
However, we taught of taking a step further, by
making enquiries from other universities on what
they charge for acceptance it was discovered
that,OAU is 25k,Funaab is 45k, Unilag is 25k ,UI
is
20k to FUTMINA is 35k, to mention but view. Still
we met with appropriate bodies of the university
to
know why the amount was decided,fortunately
enough, we were made to know that the allocation
coming to the universities has been drastically
reduced by the Government which is a fact, and
the
university can not be smoothly develop except
with
the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
On this note, I want us to know that, the union will
never be silent when justice is been denied.
Because “INJUSTICE ANYWHERE IS A THREAT
TO
JUSTICE EVERYWHERE” and also the union will be
so unfair to take any unjust actions,when we have
every facts to act reasonably."

wanderlust007: just wanna make sm corrections and additions... hostel old block has A and B... A is 6 per room.. B is 8 per room, for both, each floor has its set of toilets and bathrooms to b used by all d rooms on dat floor while new hostels have 1 toilet and 2 bathrooms per room... U can cook wit either stove or hot plates.. gas nt allowed... d Lyt is superb.. even if thers no lyt, ther's a generator dat powers d hostel.. 3hrs at nyt, 2 hrs in d morning. each block has kitchens and common rooms ( a general room wit dstv (full sub) for relaxation). For those of u dat won't neglect God... there's always morning devotion at d hostel too

My Church Pastor is studying at the United States of America, He is on study leave, He usually preach to the church through Skype Video Call on Sundays but few months ago, we discovered that the video freezes about 20 minutes while he is still preaching, please anyone with solution should help us out, God bless you!!!

Acceptance Fees for Provisional Offer of Admission is
Friday 12th September, 2014.

25-08-2014 (1:56pm): Update of results for
candidate who filled "Awaiting Result" in any of their
subjects now extended to Wednesday 27th August,
2014 (12 midnight).

2nd Batch should be out anytime after wednesday. No update about DE students yet.

FUOTUOKE Admission List for 2014/2015 academic
session is out. This released list is the Merit
admission list of candidates who have been offered
provisional admission into Federal University
Otuoke for the 2014/2015 session. Candidates who
have taken part in the 2014 FUOTUOKE Post-
UTME , checked their screening results and were
successful can now go to the admission-checking
portal view their admission status.

2014 JAMB Admission Status checking online is
done on www.jamb.org.ng. Candidates who took
part in the 2014 JAMB UTME re out to check their
admission status and this post is for them. JAMB
status for 2014 can be checked starting from next
week (starting from 24th August, 2014). We have
not said that this is the date it will come out. The
date is there to indicate the week JAMB promised
to enable JAMB status checking for 2014/2014
admission on their official portal.

A the time of publishing this post, the JAMB
admission status has not been uploaded to the
JAMB Post Registration e-Facilities. The Joint
Admissions and Matriculation Board has assured

JAMB To Declare Candidates’ Admission Status
Next Week
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has
assured the Unified Tertiary Matriculation
Examination candidates that they would know their
admission status by next week.
The JAMB Registrar, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, who
announced this in Lagos, therefore urged them to
check the Internet next week to confirm their proper
placement in the nation’s tertiary institutions.
He spoke on the sidelines of the opening ceremony
of the of a three-day Technical Committee Meeting
on 2014 Admissions to Tertiary Institutions at the
University of Lagos.
Ojerinde also announced that no fewer than 700,
000 candidates would secure admission to the
nation’s tertiary institutions for the 2014/2015
academic session.
No fewer than 1.6m candidates sat for the
examination, comprising the Paper-Pencil Test,
Dual Based test and the Computer-Based Test last
April and May.
According to him, the National Universities
Commission, National Board for Technical Education
and the National Commission of Colleges of
Education have this year increased the carrying
capacity of the schools under their
superintendence.
Ojerinde, who had earlier urged the participants of
the TCM to endeavour to conclude the session on
time, said the call became imperative to enable the
board to finalise its admission process this year.
He added that the early conclusion of the exercise,
especially the cut off marks for candidates’ first-
choice universities, would also prepare the board to
make admission provisions for other candidates in
their respective schools of second choice.
The JAMB boss added, “There is no gainsaying the
fact that the challenge of the rising demand for
access to tertiary institutions in Nigeria means that
the entry process must be well-managed and
seamless.
It is for this reason that the Board expects every
institution to abide by the admissions timetable as
already agreed upon at the Policy Meeting of July 1,
2014.
“We must adhere strictly to the guidelines which
stipulates a 60:40 Science/arts ratio, 45,35,20 of
Federal ratio, 70:30 of Technology/non-Technology
ratio, as well as the ratio of 40:40:20 (merit/
catchment area/educationally less developed area)
for state owned institutions.
“As a reminder, it has also become imperative to
stress once more, that all admissions for the 2014/
2015 academic session will end on Friday, October
31, 2014. All institutions are hereby enjoined to
adhere to the stipulated date, as late submissions
will not be entertained.”

I didn't want to share what I heard from one of Senate team (post withheld due to criticism) but of 2nd thought, I decided to do so... For Management students only

I got a text msg today but I will only pick the vibrant part that concerns you, the msg goes thus:

Large number of excellent people are competing for our management programs.

With this msg, I can figure it out that management courses seems competitive even more than last year...50%, 52%, 53%, can't work for courses like Accounting, Economics. I am not here to make anyone feel sad but to get alternative incase funaab bleeps up, the 200 cut off mark actually favoured the science students... about 4,000 candidates chose management courses but only 500+ will will be admitted. Science students have upper, even pre degree management students are abt 298 and am sure that about 240 or more will be admitted leaving the remaining spaces for Jambites with high scores...if u are the type that knows a staff over there, don't tell them that u want Accounting, Economics by all means, even BEM seems competitive, beg them even if u can get EPS...may the Lord grant individuals heart desire, thanks for your usual cooperation!!!

Fikyat said that someone with 37% in post utme was admitted, is it new? We are just 6,000 candidates, even when it was 28,000 candidates we see 30% in post utme given admission through runs, connection, as a pre degree student with upper hand...if that person with 37% was a present degree student, don't u know that he/she has upper hand than jambites, many of u are bribing lecturers with 30k upward and u see your name on the list, how much more for pre degree student that paid 150,000 naira for school fees? let's also understand this;VC, DVC and other Senate members aren't God, they just have the opportunity to be there. Fikyat, VC's Personal Secretary na one young man now, or have them changed him?

I think fikfat is right, let's try to always believe people...I think VC initiated it due complaints by students, I sent this to him on WhatsApp which I decided to forward here:

Good p.m sir, some of the post utme questions prepared by ICT officers weren't correct. Some mathematics questions indicated that we should use the diagram drawn below to answer some questions but the diagrams were no where to be found on the computer in which students had no choice than to click any answer since there were options on them instead of leaving it empty! English Language was full of errors as well, we were told to look for the nearest in meaning, opposite in meaning of the underlined word but nothing was underlined, the english questions kept coming without underlining them in each questions... Students are hereby pleading with the management to see to this issue and resolve it as soon as possible because this has really affected students post utme result negatively...

I know doubting Thomas guys are in the building, either u believe it or not; I don't care cos I don't give fake news, I even told people that funaab cut off mark will be 200 even before it was announced, some people have reliable infos to give over here but u don't make them by what you say whenever they give it out, thumbs up fikyat!!!!!
