According to Jesus Christ, in order to obtain salvation, what He made clear in John 3 vs 1 - 21, you have to do as He commands - Be born of water and be born of Spirit. However, here you claim you are not meant to do any of what Jesus Christ commands you to do in order to obtain that very same salvation. So, how exactly am I shifting goalposts here?

According to you, your relationship with Jesus Christ requires you to do absolutely nothing but mentally acknowledge Jesus Christ, a claim that clearly contradicts Jesus Christ's very own teachings to you, meaning what you hold you have nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus Christ, which is what I have been stating all along. Clearly, following what Jesus Christ said, if you don't do as He asks you to do, you cannot enter into the Kingdom of God nor belong to Him. So why exactly as you repulsed by what Jesus Christ said?

All I am saying is rebase whatever your belief with that which is in fact the teaching of Jesus Christ Himself because as He said, many people will enter into the Kingdom of God — become born-again— through the broad gate which leads to destruction(Hell) and only a few will enter into the Kingdom of God through the narrow gate which leads to true life(Heaven). The reason why the Narrow gate is narrow is that there are many laws to obey in order to become worthy to enter in through it. Again, this information is found in the Gospel teachings of Jesus Christ. What people don't realize is that all of those folks who will end up in Hell(eternal damnation) at the end of the day are all born-again and have eternal life.

The reason for that narrow gate is that many will base their salvation through their work and will be so blind to grasp the truth of the Bible that it's purely by faith and no work is needed.

1. Jesus Christ explained that those who love Him are those who live their lives in continuous submission and obedience of His teachings and commandments. He said those who belong to Him --- those who live by faith----live trusting and obeying His Truth - His teachings and commandments. ---- John 14 vs 15 - 20 & John 15 vs 7 - 11 & John 15 vs 14 . Now in the same context Jesus Christ explained that it is only those who obey Him that will do the good works that He did and even more than He did- John 14 vs 1 - 12.

The same Jesus Christ also taught that when He returns and judges all those sheep and goats among them that He would judge their good works - Matthew 25 vs 31 - 46.

So, I guess my question to you, or the question you need to ask yourself is simply. Do you trust Jesus Christ or do you instead trust your understanding?
