Family / Nigerians Should Also Show Luv To Lady Whose Leg Was Amputated by Ohizman73(m): 6:01pm On Jan 07
I came across two stories and in today's Sunday punch, one which is trending concerning the the naira rain on the woman who had to wake up at 4.50 AM to cook food and for her husband. Which prompted Nigerians to rain naira on her to fulfill the her wishes. Then I also came across another seeming sad story concerning a young lady of the 23 years, Hannah Ajibade a former student in the of ilaro poly who had to stop school as she suffered an accident on her way to school. Which sadly led to amputation and of her leg. She has suffered a lot as she's from a poor home. She presently needs to go back to school, get a prosthetic leg and wants to open a head dressing salon as she doesn't want to be a liability. But she has financial issues challenges. I want to appeal to Nigerians also to come to her aid. She definitely has a needs to be shown such luv even more I view of her disability. From the story she is on TikTok and her username is Sexy one leg. Which she claimed she imbibed as she received insults as being labeled half human. As I am not on X could nairalanders help me repost my appeal on X.
Foreign Affairs / No Merry Xmas For Xtians Allover The World In Solidarity With Israel by Ohizman73(m): 8:49am On Dec 25, 2023
All xtians and peace loving people on earth in claim of celebrating xmas should standown in solidarity with Israel. The land and people were the very JESUS was born that we celebrate is facing its greatest challenge ever with the threat to their existence by terrorists and moslems. Presently the nation of the Jews and Gods people are at war, there is no xmas for them presently today xmas day, as they are fighting for their very souls. Many of its citiziens are being held hostage in grueling conditions they include babies, women and the elderly whose homes were attacked, after surving a massacre they were kidnapped. It is The Israelite's that are being oppressed in their land with the claim that the very land belongs to the Arabs /Moslems. How come nobody asked is the Bible now telling tales during the time of Jesus were there mention of moslems and Arabs. That land bore the Israeli name of JUDEA,many towns are still bearing the ancient Israeli name like Bethlehem ,we still have the sea of Galilee all were Jesus carried his ministry. Is it surprizing that JERUSALEM is being claimed by the moslems. It was during the Roman conquest that they gave the region PALESTINE ,after the revolt of the Jews against the oppresion of the Romans, the Romans destroyed Jerusalem and sold the people out to slavery, from there they dispersed .It was through there the turks /moslems invaded their land and tried to establish dominance that was how the Arabs(turks) brought in isam.Based on that led to the crusades made up of nobles and knights from Europe and the xtian world to claim back the holy land from the muslims.Which was sucessful to a degree.

I was deeply amazed. See the impact of religious extremism !!.This is the sort of thing Boko Haram wants to impact in the country. We must all rise up to fight terrorists. Before the Israeli government vowed to crush Hamas they knew the impact of their extremist backed ideology.

Foreign Affairs / Hamas Is Finished As Israeli PM Invokes Bibilical Old Age Amalek Curse On Them by Ohizman73(m): 3:10pm On Oct 30, 2023
Israeli PM Netanyahu invoked the "Amalek" narrative in a speech about the country's expanding its ground operation in Gaza yesterday.

“You must remember what Amalek has done to you, says our Holy Bible," Netanyahu said, based on a translation. "And we do remember, and we are fighting. Our brave troops and combatants who are now in Gaza or around Gaza, and in all other regions in Israel, are joining this chain of Jewish heroes, a chain that has started 3,000 years ago from Joshua ben Nun, until the heroes of 1948, the Six-Day War, the ’73 October War and all other wars in this country."

Amalek is an ancient biblical nation that was in Canaan, which was a land in the southern Levant. The Amalekites attacked the Jewish people after the exodus from Egypt, and "they are seen as the archetypal enemy of the Jews," according to Chabad.org.

Netanyahu's use of the narrative drew online criticism because of scripture suggesting that Amalekites must not be spared.

The woman has a right to raise eyebrows, since they are legally married, mind you marriage is a joint venture not a separatist one. Obvious i would conclude that they didnt sincerely love themselves right from day one. if not such should not occur if the marriage is really built on a foundation of love. Am surprised about the hate pill rendered on the woman and the female gender overall by Nigerian men. if it were the woman who bought a land and built a house with her name, she would be condemned with unspeakable names. As has been the case when a woman did that even with her sole money.Since it has now come to that the woman should also build a house in her own name. it is a plus for the children then as they would access to multiple properties and rate both parents high.

Politics / Obasanjo And Ekweremadu Both Birds Of Same Feather &selfish Leaders In Nigeria by Ohizman73(m): 12:46pm On Apr 06, 2023
I am not surprised on the basis of the plead of Obasanjo on behalf of the embattled ex deputy senate leader Ekweremadu to a UK Court on his conviction concerning the organ harvesting case.As they are birds of the same feather both SELFISH and CARELESS leaders in Nigeria as described in a news article of the Vanguard ,May 27,2018 of a "big Nigerian" (https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/05/selfish-careless-leader-nigeria/ ).Does Obasanjo think as a former president and elderstatesman he breaks the law in a civilized country as the very UK (UK is a country where the law is respected pristine in sync with best practices and not Nigeria where respect of the law is an option and not the rule ) he would go scot free as he has done in Nigeria as in a case were he assaulted his worker. He claims hes well learneth did not read the summary of the Judges judgement that convicted Ekweremadu ("The convicted defendants showed utter disregard for the victim's welfare, health and well-being and used their considerable influence to a high degree of control throughout, with the victim having limited understanding of what was really going on here," ). Obasanjo is also described well in Felas record "Authority Stealing",he has no credibility asuch in the first place.Imagine the outcome of the panel of inquiry he set on the assault and burning down of felas house it came out with unknown soldier. The letter he wrote be he God he is not would not make a shi shi impact on the punishment to be melted out to that selfish leader like himself.

Am SELFISH,CARELESS BUT A LEADER IN NIGERIA
By Morak Babajide-Alabi

In 2003, I ran into a “big Nigerian” on the streets of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. It was a chance encounter that happened because I was eagle-eyed at the time, starring at every black person I saw on the street. I was just a few months in the country, and especially in a city that, at that time, had little concentration of black people .At that time every black face looked familiar leaving me wondering where I knew them from. It took me a few years of living in the UK to accept the reality that, as a “newly minted” immigrant, all I was doing at that time was looking out to spot someone I know from Nigeria. It was all in a bid to validate myself that I was actually “abroad”.

This is more of an ego tripping than actually looking to make new friends. Let us be honest, most Nigerians of my generation had been in this position before, especially if you had travelled in the nineties or at the start of the millennium. If you “landed” outside London, you really need someone or something to validate the fact that you have now relocated. In the days before the availability of smartphones or social media that now allow us to instantly announce or broadcast our locations to our friends and enemies alike, we relied on photographs. So we find ourselves in the situation whereby though we live abroad, we still need to prove our presence outside Nigeria.
On this particular mid-morning Saturday, I spotted this “big” Nigerian on the other side of Princess Street, Edinburgh. I was just coming off the Waverley Stairs to join a bus going to the Clovenstone area of the city. I recognised this “big Nigerian”, who at a point in time was a power broker in the political and military set up.

Wait a minute, I said to myself. But why is this “big Nigerian” looking so ordinary? Why is he not with the usual retinue of assistants? What is he doing in front of the “One Pound Store”? What has happened to him? I just could not place him compared with the “big man” I was used to seeing on TV back in Nigeria. This was a power broker who commanded all the trappings of power.

You can imagine my bewilderment when I saw him. I crossed to the other side of the road and caught up with him just in front of “The Phone Shop”, where he was about to start another session of window shopping. He saw the intent in my face as I said: “Hello sir”. He responded with enthusiasm and I could sense a bit of eagerness to talk, and not particularly to me, but to just anybody.

I asked him with feigned surprise if he was the person I thought he was. Enthusiastically, he replied, “Yes”, with a broad smile on his face. He was happy somebody could recognise him in a foreign land. Jokingly, he said that probably because he had a T-shirt and jeans trousers on instead of the usual military apparels he was identified with on Nigerian TV that was why I couldn’t recognise him easily. I actually recognised him at the first glance.

We exchanged pleasantries like strangers we were. I warmed up to him, thinking he could still be able to facilitate a few things in government. At this time I had “accepted” his “commonness”. So I asked him: “Can I buy you a cup of coffee sir?” He seemed a bit surprised; probably thinking (as a Nigerian) he should be the one offering to buy. I was okay in asking as I knew there was a McDonald Restaurant around the corner by the ”Job Centre” and familiar with the cost of a cup of coffee in there. By quick calculation, the total bill for two cups of coffee and latter would not be more than £2.

We collected our coffee from the assistant and took a vantage position in the restaurant. Before we could settle down in our seats, he fired his first question. “Do you work?” Of course, I had a job. I didn’t know why he asked, but I thought to myself, probably he felt he could do me an introduction letter to an employer (the Nigerian way). As a military man, he put me on the spot, practically asking for a step by step guide on my journey to live in Scotland. The questions were all in rapid successions.

I seized the opportunity of a pause to hijack the discussion and quickly asked what his business was in Edinburgh. According to him, he was in the city for his annual medical check-up. He told me how he had attended a further course at the University of Edinburgh many years ago and was compelled to register with the general practice – registration he had not given up ever since he left.

He told me his family was in Nigeria. On every trip, he lodged for a few days/nights at a house apartment in a street behind Princess Street. According to him although he has no history of life-threatening disease or ailment, he enjoys how he “maintains” his health and gets looked after by qualified medical personnel with up-to-date equipment, as well.

Momentarily I became depressed and disappointed in our “big man”, and suddenly I felt uncomfortable in his presence. I thought about the many Nigerians that had no access to good health facilities in the country that was at a time governed by the likes of the big man sitting in front of me. My mind wandered to many who died just because General Hospitals in Nigeria could not treat them and had to be referred to private hospitals, bills of which they could not afford.

I looked at him from the corner of my eyes and I saw a disgusting little man, who though, could afford private clinic bills in Nigeria but felt comfortable coming over to the UK to eat from the “awoof”. What a small-minded man. Here was a man who was part of the military administrations for long and could have made an impact on the health systems in Nigeria, but, together with his clowns in government, did nothing.

For 45 minutes I was on an emotional roller coaster with my supposedly “new friend”. I admired him from afar, moved closer to him, analysed him, angry with him and now I found myself sympathising with him. I could see in him a typical Nigerian leader: Selfish, care less for others and yet vulnerable. While he saw nothing wrong in coming over to the UK to maintain his health on other peoples bills, he felt no remorse for having not taken the opportunity to improve the health facilities when he was in government.

Just like many other Nigerian politicians you run into on London streets, his thoughts about the Nigerian health systems are unprintable. Yet he had the opportunity to make a difference but chose not to. Do you still wonder why Nigerian leaders care less when doctors in public hospitals go on strike? Wonder no more. They either have the money to foot the health bills over here or like my friend; the cost is the air ticket out of Nigeria.

I took leave of the “big Nigerian”. He was a waste of time. As I walked towards the bus stop to catch my bus I realised I had wasted my precious time on a loser like him.

IN a foreign news article (CBS news) about the former senate president being found guilty of organ harvesting in the UK.A foto hf him and the then senate president Bukola Saraki was exhibited ironically with the caption
"Nigerian Senate president Bukola Saraki (R) and his deputy Ike Ekweremadu (L) leave the courtroom after being charged with falsifying parliamentary rules to get elected in Abuja, in a June 27, 2016 file photo".

So to say the law of karma caught up with Ekweremadu as they could not manipulate the Judiciary the the UK which they manipulated then in Nigeria. This should be a case point for all these our politicians. They shall not escape the law of karma on their evil deeds against Nigerians as this Naira scarcity issue.
