That means they would as well overun the military hq in the city if they wanted and virtually taken over the city,which obviously what was not their mission.It is really unfourtunate that our security agencies are not tact for their responsibility,but seemly take a snipe at their fellow Nigerian citizens deploying their might in flogging civilians on the street(what fela protested against that they sent a whole battalion of soldiers to burn his house),barbing civilians,harassing people wearing anything that reassembles camo,intervening in civil disputes,not wanting to pay bus fares,looting and destruction of civilian properties,molesting women wearing fashion apparels the list is endless then finally leaving their regular trademark sorrow,tears and blood. I have great fears that a well organized terrorist group as that would bring the Nigerian military to its knees for good.Already the Nigerian military has taken a worse bashing upnorth by the boko haram. What i have concluded is that all this is the result of politizing the security of the country for long,even the nigerian military if given all modern equipment and hardware would abandon such equipment and flee when face in combat engagement,they simply lack the civic will to demonstrate their capabilty as a national defence force. The same elites put their children in all security agencies to continue looting funds meant for training and procurement of military soft and hardware. All facilities as barracks,training schools etc are in a state of disrepair,personnel have to procure their own boots , wearing apparels and common military kits. A WWII American era military serviceman personal equipment is no match for our miltary personnel.Am not talking of this very era.You see our military men in different improvised kits and apparels.All military equipment are outdated and unserviable out of poor administration. it is really unfourtunate.

He may ward off blows,restrain the attacker, or even strike a blow to stun or incapacitate him.The intention would be to neutalize the aggresion or stop the attack.On the other hand what if a persons life is threathened by an assailant. A law that God gave ancient Israel sheds light on this.If a thief was caught in the daytime and was killed ,the assailant would be charged with murder. this is evidently because thievery did not carry the death penalty and the theif could have been identified and brought to justice. However if an intruder was fatally struck at night,the householder could be exonerated because it would be difficult for him to see what the intruder was doing and to ascertain the intentions of the intruder.The householder could reasonably conclude that his family was under threat of harm and take defensive action.On the long run when eventually the case is called up in court.It would be of great interest to conclude the outcome.However with the slow pace of The Judiciary in Nigeria which we all know is very slow in indispensing cases.Such cases run up to half a decade before conclusion and to conclude taking a clue from the Bible we should avoid situations with a potential for violence.

Nigeria seizes pangolin scales bound for Vietnam

Nigeria has seized pangolin scales and tusks and bones from endangered species allegedly bound for export to Vietnam, a senior customs official said Wednesday.
Pangolin scales are traditionally used in China for a range of ailments, including treating blood clots, although there is no scientific evidence they have medicinal value.
Studies have also suggested the pangolin may have been the intermediate host that transmitted the coronavirus to humans when it first emerged at a wet market in the Chinese city of Wuhan in late 2019.
The Nigerian items concealed in a container as furniture materials were intercepted by customs operatives at Apapa port in Lagos on January 21, the area controller, Mohammed Abba-Kura told AFP.
"Immediately the container was opened, logs were seen in front, and upon 100 percent physical examination of the container, elephant tusk and the pangolin scales were seen concealed by the logs," he said.
"The items, falsely declared as furniture, comprised 162 sacks of pangolin scales... and 57 sacks of mixed endangered species of various sizes such as ivory/animal horns, lion bones and others," he said.
The total haul weighed 8,800 kilogrammes (19,400 pounds), he said.
Abba-Kura said the items were valued at 952 million naira ($2.5 million, 2.07 million euros) on the black market.
He said the consignment was heading to Haiphong, Vietnam before it was intercepted, adding that a suspect had been arrested over the shipment.
Nigeria is major hub for traffickers sending the scales of African pangolins to Asia.
Pangolins are believed to be the world's most trafficked mammals accounting for as much as 20 percent of all illegal wildlife trade.
Nigeria has made huge seizures of illegal animal parts in recent years in line with the Convention of International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES).

I was even wondering if that corper could really have the guts to commit such brutality, she must be something else.Such gal would have murdered her husband if given the chance to marry.Even if the other raped victim testifies there is no way she would walk home free a lengthy jail sentence or a hangmans gallows.
