OGA do you think nigeria have more sophisticated weapons than Syrian government? free Syrian revolutionary are taking over Damascus and soon bashal will be in their hands just like gadaffi was.Sir i advice your that you should not underestimate the power that be, you cant win any war without USA.UK,CHINA,RUSSIA,JAPAN,on your side,if super powers are against your government you are finished.

Civil war in Nigeria, for Nigeria to even try entering biafran territories they have to get backing from any of those countries mention above....

SW leaders want regional government and with that everybody will stop looking for ones trouble

Kogi, Kwara Yoruba want to join kith in S-West

IBADAN — SOME Yoruba in Kogi and Kwara states, yesterday, demanded they should be excised from the two states and join their kith and kin in the South-West.

Represented by Chief Joe Olarogun and Ayo Aberoran, at the Ibadan meeting organised by the Yoruba National Assembly, led by Lt-General Alani Akinrinade (rtd), many other speakers called for the restructuring of the country.

Akinrinade, at the forum advised Yoruba to put behind them political, ethnical and socio-cultural differences so that the zone could forge ahead.

Those at the meeting included the governors of Oyo, Senator Abiola Ajimobi; Mr. Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State; Dr. Dejo Raimi, chieftain of the PDP, Prof. Adetoun Ogunsheye, leading traditional and political leaders from the region.

The forum was well-attended by members of the Action Congress of Nigeria and other sons and daughters of the zone.

Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuade; Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi and other leading traditional rulers from Oyo and Osun states were absent.

Akinrinade said the meeting was conveyed after wide consultations with elders and leaders of Yorubaland to reflect on how to make Nigeria conducive to the development of Yoruba civilisation.

He said: “It is intended to allow us, as Yoruba sons and daughters all over the federation to rub minds on the way out of the country’s crippling underdevelopment with specific emphasis on the parlous state of affairs in the South-West.

“I believe in the unity of our federation and have spent most of my adult life lending credence to that assertion. Today’s assembly is to allow the Yoruba nation, across social, political and sub-ethnic divides to rub minds about the future of our own corner of Nigeria.”

“Our region has become a mendicant region that waits for limited droppings from the table of the Federal Government in Abuja.”

PoliticsRe: Police To MASSOB : Don't Hoist Biafran-Flag by oilsuop: 3:35pm On Aug 30, 2012
Well massob have reply him they are no push over

However, the MASSOB Director of Information for Aba region, Sunny Okereafor, said the police commissioner had no powers to stop the activities of the organization in the state, including the hoisting of the flag.

While describing MASSOB as a non-violent group, which shouldn’t have been the major problem of the commissioner, Okereafor said that the flag is the symbol of the Igbo race, which the organization would continue to hoist not only in Abia State but in all Igbo territories.

He challenged Aisabor to channel his energy to fighting crimes such as kidnapping, child theft and trafficking, which he said are now assuming a higher proportion in Aba, the commercial hub of the state, and its environs.

Okereafor said it was unfortunate that it is only in Igboland where such directives were given, asking: “Have the police in the West stopped OPC from operating? Have they stopped Egbesu and other groups in the South-South from operating? Why MASSOB? “What’s this man up to?

“Aisabor is not the only police commissioner to have been posted to Abia State nor the only one in states where MASSOB exists, why is he giving directives that will not be in anybody’s interest?”

The MASSOB spokesman urged his members to remain calm in the face of the threat, advising them not to be intimidated into abandoning the cause for which many of them had paid the supreme price and which he said was the last hope of the Igbo man. DAILYNEWS
CrimeFifty-year-old Widow Commits Suicide Under The Tree... by oilsuop(op): 11:48am On Aug 30, 2012
A 50-year-old widow, Juliana Oluwafemi, has committed suicide by hanging in Apata Elere area of Ibadan, Oyo State. It was learnt that Oluwafemi, popularly known as Iya Iyanu, was found hanging on a tree close to the Odo-Ona River, Apata on Monday. A youth leader in the community, Mr. Ayodele Obaro, who spoke with journalists on the issue, said the deceased was discovered around 8am by mechanics that had gone to the river banks to defecate.

He said, “When I heard about the incident, I reported to a nearby church, Saint Paul’s Anglican Church and they later informed the police.” According to the younger sister of the deceased, Iya Subomi, Juliana was declared missing on Saturday after efforts to trace her whereabouts failed.

She said, “She came to her son’s house at Odo-ona on Friday and was left at home by her son who went for a vigil. “However, by the time he came back on Saturday morning, he did not see his mother at home. “Her disappearance was suspicious, because she left the house without her shoes and phone.”

Subomi added that someone informed her that a dead woman was found hanging on a tree by the river. She said after she was shocked to discover that the dead woman was her sister.

Subomi said, “Her business was thriving and her children were doing well. I am also very sure that she was not in debt. I cannot say why she decided to take her own life.”

Efforts to get comments from the police were abortive as the Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Bisi Inobanafor, could not be reached.

confusion247: Be informed that when massob is pushed to the wall, the result will be worse to boko haram because ogbunigwe will be deployed. Nigerian ploice, DSS/SSS is helpless with boko haram knock out not to talk of ogbunigwe. massob is peaceful and harmless, so police don't push them to the wall. police don't start what you can not finish. show your power on boko haram boys not peaceful massob.
this is my fear, when massob start manufacturing their own ogbunige bombs nigeria will not last up to six months, they cant push OPC like that lagos will be inflames we will make sure that we finish any police we see in SW sad
Maba=no in Igbo. I know you were trying to make a joke, though stale, but wanted to give u da definition. Nigerian police will eventually turn a peaceful group into full out militants. Remember, this is how mend started. They were once a peaceful group under kero wiwa, correct me if I'm wrong, All they did back then was march. The nigerian government kept messing and attacking them and look what they became. They continue doing what they doing, they might end up creating problem for themselves.
we can supply OPC soldiers if biafra need help we will show abia police how sophisticated (OPC) blessed by oduduwa our descendants gave us the power we posses,is uncontrollable, they cant match OPC.We are stand by angry
