Is it that bad? I wanted to have the experience of more than one type of BMS, which was why I got the JBD. Should I also try Daly or no need?

In humility I do want to know how you guys go about doing capacity testing. I know there is a tester they sell on Alibaba that measures the capacity of lithium but it does not sem to be what you are describing here.

Do you put normal load on it without further charging it to determine the final capacity, a step by step process would be a nice to have.

Also, I suggest you and Dam5reey1 should sheave the sword for now, no need to take anything personal. We are all here to learn and share ideas.

If you don't know how to do capacity test to check the working voltage range of each cell and the internal resistance, let me tell you.
Put either 8 cells or 16 cells together as a pack, charge them to full and discharge them down to 3.000v each cell.

The bms shud hv been set to hv 3.6v as cell hvd on the bms, not good for lifepo4 cell to cross 3.65v.

The jbd has low balance current and it may take upto 1wk to correct the pack, if u configure it properly

But to be fair to the other fellow, he may be taking the words of the seller in China who assured him as they also assured me that they are Grade A. Okay, maybe you can argue that he claimed to have tested it and so he now assumes responsibility. Because until this your new info put some doubt in my mind also about my own, if I was building to sell, I could also have claimed that it was Grade A since the seller of the cells say it was.

Secondly, I suspect I may have snapped the picture of the QR code at some point when I got it, if I shared it here would you be able to tell if it is grade B?

Also, if it turns out to be Grade B, what should I expect? Does it mean the actual capacity may be much less? Like what percentage so that I can mentally derate for it?

You just scanned a fake qr code and paste here.
Is there any cell qr code that can't be scanned or is there anyone that won't give you results?
Two things I need from you to proof your claim.
1. Snap that qr code clearly and let us see. Peel off the top of that qr code, rub alcohol to remove the glue completely.
2. Carry out the capacity test and let's see the results.

I had similar experience a few days ago. I think there is an issue with your bms.
To confirm it, use your voltmeter and take the reading of individual cells and pay more attention to the cell 3.

I use JK on my other bank, I wanted to also test JBD. I thought JBD was also a good brand in the world LiFe04?

The worst part about solar is that from the time you install, any electrical problem in that house will be transferred to the installer since it is assumed that he was the last person to have worked on the electrical systems in the house.

Before you know it, the small profit you made will be spent going back to that house to resolve issues.

Nothing to worry about when it comes to repairs with those big brands, infact their repairs is usually the most straight forward. Once you identify the exact board that is bad inside, you buy a replacement, slot it back in, connect the different olugs back and your inverter is back to life.

It is even all these chinese hybrid boards that solder all the different parts of the board on one board sef that you start having to trace resistor, ICs, capacitors to replace.

Thanks. Gennex is home to Canadian Solar and their Canadian Solar seems to be cheaper than the 580W JK they have but just that JK has been shown to sometimes be able to do close to or even 100%, no one has vouched for Canadian to that extent yet.

Electrical Engineers will probably be better able to advise on this one. This is a proposed design I have been considering for a while now. I am hoping it can be a way to harness unmatched solar panels using a bus bar. The idea is that multple charge controllers will share the power available, as each of their batteries get full, they will reduce their power demand and the charge controllers that require more power will then be able to get more.

Is there any reason why this cannot work?

If you can control the remote itself with HA or Node Red, then it does not need to have a timer na. You can do the timing control from those apps and then use the time to trigger whatever you want it to do.

Actually I just thought about something now as you mentioned this. One of my tuya devices is a remote control that I use to operate the TV, sound system and decoder from the phone. You can programme almost any remote, and I mean almost any remote, to it and control it on your phone from anywhere in the world. It's just that it doesn't have facility for timer.
