ECHR is very clear when it said "No one may be removed, expelled or extradited to a State where there is a serious risk that he or she would be subjected to the death penalty, torture or other inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment"

A country like Nigeria with its very bad human rights record has zero chance of of having Finland extradite Ekpa, it's complete waste of time.

Nigeria has an even worse human rights rating than Turkey. So if Finland refused to extradite PPK members to Turkey over NATO memership, why do you think they would extradite Ekpa to Nigeria? Turkey eventually backed down and Finland became the 31st member of NATO in April 2023

Forget Simon Ekpa ever being extradited to Nigeria, Finland is barred from doing so by ECHR

This man will stay a little longer in jail from the look of things but that would be the beginning of high scale injustice in Nigeria as political figures who are unjustly imprisoned in future will have no one to fight for them.

Even trump and Biden granted clemency to a good number of prisoners but in Nigeria it is the other way round. The APC-led regime has more innocent people in jail than Even the Aguiyi Ironsi government that imprisoned coup plotters.

Ikwerre is an Igbo word meaning 'do you agree?' or 'if you agree'.
I believe that the needless debate as to whether the Ikwerre and other Igbo speaking parts of Rivers State are Igbos is hereby permanently settled by the emergence of Maazi John Azuta-Mbata as the president general of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide.
But some people are not happy to see Igbos united under one umbrella as you see on nairaland and from the response to this my thread.
Even some Ikwerre people will rather bear Ikwerre which they rightly are than Igbo which they equally are.
