Of late I have been seeing a flood of useless topics promoting Nigeria's breakup as inevitable.

A quick glance will tell you that all the posters making these threads are of the IPOB ilk.

It's not surprising to see IPOB promoting outright balkanization of Nigeria instead of pursuing their seccesionist agenda.

The likes of Gidgiddy has become more of an advocate for Nigeria's dissolution than his usual Biafra quest.

The reasons for this is simple and it's because it is becoming clearer to these IPOB people that their Biafra project that must include all of the SS will never happen because a Biafra without the SS included can not be sold to the general Ibo populace. They need the SS for its lands and resources to market Biafra 2.0 to their fellow ibos. And when you review how Biafra of old died a natural death after the liberation of the minority coastal and SS lands, you will understand what I am trying to convey here. The likes of gidgiddy have come to see that for there to be a new Biafra project it MUST[emphasis intended] include the adjourning SS lands. But knowing very well that this won't ever happen under a united Nigeria, they are now seeing this new Biafra only with a balkanized Nigeria.

It's important you understand the last sentence clearly because it gives a clue to how they intend Biafra 2.0 . Biafra 2.0 will be like the first and will not require consultation but will be based on conquest. A divided Nigeria (and weakened one) provides the perfect scenario to stage another invasion , conquest and genocide of the SS minority peoples.

This here is why they are all clamouring for Nigeria's breakup.

But that aside, if we are to hypothetically see Nigeria breakup to its existing constituent geopolitical zones, which of these new independent states can survive beyond five years without plunging into total chaos?

Let me start by given my prediction and reasons:

1. Arewa
Present day NW Nigeria will struggle to stand on its feet but will sooner or later find some political working ground. These are a people with centuries of indigenous self governance that spanned large swaths of northern Nigeria. Strong Leadership and governance and a collective society based on conservative Islam will usher in law and order. They may not be all prosperous as under Nigeria but they will surely exist long beyond our 5yr target.

2. Kanuri land

Just like Arewa above but there will be conflicts arising due to treatment of non Muslims and other minorities. But at the end they too will find their feet.

3. North Central

By far the most diverse ethnic and religious region , I don't see the NC being an independent nation of its own rather I see some parts being included into the NW while some existing states like Taraba and Benue being seperate. Benue will have the greatest headache owing to a lot of challenges we are witnessing already under Nigeria and I don't see them overcoming it as an independent nation rather things will get worse and Benue may end up being a UN administered territory reliant on international relief and aid from everything from food , medicine down to its own security.

4. SW
Oduduwa

Economically they will be better of. Politically it will be bedlam unless a rallying figure like Awo appears. Stability will then ensue and they will surely exceed the five year prediction.

5. SS

Niger Delta Republic.

The future of this nation will be dependent on the system of governance they choose for themselves . A parliamentary regional system will be the best option. That is, a loose federation with a weak central govt. The major challenge will be if all the proud nationalities in the SS agree to remain as one or go their seperate ways. They will surely go beyond the first 50ys if all comes together well from the point of formation as it will be the only true Republic formed from different nationalities agreeing to their own terms to live together as one.

6. SE

Biafra

Heard of Autonomous Kingdoms ? Well it's only in the SE you will find out what they are and what they mean. The factionalized nature of the Ibo man will always see to Ibo society fragmenting. It will be very difficult for whoever is in Enugu to rally everyone together as there will be several opposition from every corner on who rules from Enugu. The only system that will be adequate for this region will be a powerful centrist system (preferably a dictatorship ) or else it will breakup into tiny pieces before one year of its formation.

During regional government it was Yoruba in the West killing each other that eventually ended the 1st republic while the East was generally peacefully until the start of Biafra civil war.I do not know where you got the idea we can't govern ourselves.
Ndi Igbo was loyal to their leaders throughout the 1st republic while Awo and Akintola was at each other throat leading to chaos and anarchy that had Awo put to jail for treason for 10 good years.Now tell me who proved to be ungovernable.

I am personalising my experiences with Abaribe, I am not here to reel out his constituency projects in other parts of Abia South, I don't live there.

Beyond Igbere, the entire road leading to Isikwuato, Ohafia and Arochukwu are in shambles. Item/Ozuitem/Nkporo/ozu-abam are all eyesores, They are only heaving a sigh of relief now that Otti is a Governor.

You keep shouting roads built by OUK, go to Kepukepu's blog and see the shabby roads done by OUK, those in Ugwueke are in tears.

Majority of the roads earmarked for construction by Alex Otti are in Abia North because the conditions of the roads there are un-manageable.

OUK is useless in the upper chamber and useless to his constituents.

The roads you mentioned in Abia North is currently under construction by Gov Alex Otti.
Hardly you will find any village in Abia North who haven't benefited from OUK project in just 5 five years same can't be said of Abaribe.

If you kick out Abaribe in 2027 after that means you were in slumber for 24 years.We kick out Ohuabunwa after he did a disappointing 4 years.

While it's possible that government agents may set up some of the insecurity scenarios, the vast majority of the crime is by IPOB ESN elements and they are doing it for the release of NK.

Yes the government is not entirely blameless but the core of this criminality is been committed by IPOB elements it is not even in doubt.
They are using Biafra agitation as a cover to rob,kidnap,rape and kill people for purpose of creating fear in the region so that the people will remain timid and intimidated and loyal of out fear which is pure terrorism against ndi Igbo.
As for gidigiddy I believe he is benefiting one way or the other from the insecurity in Igboland based on the way he defends them.

I live in Abaribe's constituency and I can swear that you are nowhere close to OUK's constituency, you only visit on Xmas.

I use infrastructures provided by Abaribe, you see the solar light that stretches through the entire length of Opobo road to even NINLAN was provided by Abaribe including the transformer at my former place.

Yet Abaribe is a failure, but in the last election, we will rather have him than have an Okezie Ikpeazu as our Senator.

OUK has done kilometers of roads across several communities and build or renovated schools and other laudables projects across Abia North in the last five years he is in the senate while you can only boast of street light from Abaribe after 24 years in senate.
OUK is the best in terms of project delivery Abia state have produced as senator so far.
