Governor Alex Otti has revealed that Abia State Government, had received approval for a $125 million loan facility from Islamic Development Bank, but added that the state had not drawn the loan.

He said the necessary documentations were being done before the funds would be drawn.

Otti who disclosed this while fielding questions from newsmen.

You can create any development commission and call it any name. However, the constitution of Nigeria only recognises 36 states, 774 LGA's and Abuja. If anyone decides to get some states and call the North North or West West, the constitution knows nothing about that one

Once upon a time the same Izu Anioma declared they were not Igbos, that is how they politicised ethnicity in Delta North.When it suits them they are Igbo when it doesn't they will deny being Igbos.

But the question people from Ndokwa or Ukwani have to ask themselves is this. How is it that they migrated from Bini or Idu, as the case may be, but lost their names, their language and culture to Igbo? For example, Ukwuani practice "Okpala-ukwu", but in Anambra we practice the same, although we call it "Okpala-Ekpili" in my part of Anambra, but still the same.

If people migrated from one continent to another, lost their language, names and culture, I would understand, the distance is far. But Ukwuani is just a few hours walk from where some of them claim to have migrated from, but lost their language, name and culture to Igbo

The six regional arrangement have come to stay if you like continue to deny the obvious.Both in appointment and allocation is based on the regions.Recently Tinubu signed into South East Development Commission and many other region have theirs too so it recognised by the law.

Gernamy won both wars against Russia. The Igbo community in Igbanke of Orhionmwon local government area of Edo State has pledged to support the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State’s governorship race, Senator Monday Okpebholo.

LEADERSHIP reports that the Edo State governorship election is slated for Saturday, September 21, 2024.

The community, which sought the development of their area, said it would solidly support the aspiration of Okpebholo.

Speaking during a campaign rally in the area, the community expressed their full support for Okpebholo, citing their dissatisfaction with the current administration and its unfilled promises.

The community lamented that the promises made to them by past leaders were never fulfilled, leaving the community in a state of neglect and underdevelopment.

At the rally, the APC governorship candidate Okpebholo pledged to address their concerns and deliver on the infrastructure projects that have been long overdue in Igbanke.

Okpebholo assured the gathering that, if elected governor, he would prioritise the construction of roads and provide other essential services in the area, which have been ignored for far too long.
