I wonder why some people prefer our politicians to continue looting and piling our monies in their various homes than for the creation of an organisation that the youths will benefit from.
If they do not give the unemployed youths the money, are they going to give it to you?

People have been paying #40,000 for the past 19 years for trainings, camp kits, khakhi, etc.
This is an NGO, you don't expect the man to use his personal money to sew you uniform and train you.
What of people that are paying as from #250,000 and above, just to get Civil defence job, police jobs, navy, airforce, even fed gov't ministries and agencies jobs.
Police is known for false allegations from time immemorial, that's why so many innocent people are in their custody for no reasons and they won't charge them to court, they'll just be there. If it's a lady, they will lock her up and just be using her anyhow and no one dares say anything.
I don't take police accusations seriously, because they're not known for truth.

MY ADVICE TO THE SELFISH POLICE WHO ARE CRAVING AND ASKING FOR INCREMENT OF SALARIES INSTEAD OF THE CREATION OF JOBS FOR THE UNEMPLOYED YOUTHS, SHOULD SHEATH THEIR SWORD,BECAUSE NOBODY IS FEEDING ANYBODY.

NOW THAT THE GOVERNMENT WANTS TO DO SOMETHING, THE ADVERSARIES ARE ATTACKING THEM, JUST BECAUSE GOD HAS GIVEN SUCH PERSON JOB TO DO.
A PERSON WITH A CONSCIENCE WHO HAS A JOB WILL FEEL FOR HIS NEIGHBOUR WHO IS JOBLESS, AND PRAY FOR THE NEIGHBOUR TO GET JOB.

They said the same thing to Civil defence which made some of us to ignore them. But the same people that made us not to join Civil defence, went and payed #500,000 plus, after president Obasanjo assented to it, for their relatives to join.
Anybody that don't want to join, should just face his or her work and business.
The more you critisize Peace corps the more Millions of people are trooping there to get the forms and pay the #40,000 for uniforms and etc, because if you don't learn your lessons from Civil defence time, you will never learn anything.
How much is #40,000 that you will not allow Nigerians drink water...
Those of you waiting for the presidential assent before joining, hahaha... I laughed in capital letters, because you need to go and ask other organisations some questions.
You criticised Peace Corps, it passed first reading, second reading, third reading, and now on the president table. And if he does not assent to it, 2/3 of the legislator votes can assent to it and legalise it...period.
To the unemployed youths out there... The society will not help you when you are suffering, so don't allow anybody to fool u just as they did to us during Civil defence era. Grab any job opportunity available,inorder to help yourself and your family, for those telling you that it's a scam, they will never borrow you any money if you are in need of money. Some of them have cars, they will never give you a lift.
#40,000 is not up to the amount you payed in school, it's not upto the amount you have been paying to re-write WAEC every year (to those who have been falling victim of waec)
You should not expect the commandant to fund it from his pocket, it's not yet assented to.
So, if you love yourselves, just close eyes and go for it. And if you can't go for it, just relax and find something else to do. Millions of people have joined, but, Everybody must not join Peace Corps.
If the President or 2/3 legislatures have finally assented to it, don't say; hard-i-know.

That's how people discouraged guys not to join Civil defence, but it's the same discouragers and mockers that went round to lobby
their relatives into the scheme at the long run, some went as far as paying more than #500,000 to join Civil defence.
But i don't know why people are still talking trash. This same bill has already been passed into law by the lower and upper chamber, it is remaining the presidential assent to it, so what is the bronhaha about it now.
I perceived all this comments are coming from the people who can not afford the #40,000 training fee.
What is #40,000 compare to the amount some of you are paying just to get a job elsewhere...
Personally i am so happy for this development,atleast the rate of unemployment will reduce and the youths will be gainfully employed.
Police etc are just jealous, but they can't stop the moving train.

Don't try it, they'll milk you dry and keep you hanging. Peace Corps are not affiliated with FG in any way. There was a thread that trended here sometime ago, so many of their applicants were lamenting how they were made to pay thousands of naira. After the training, they were told to go home and wait for posting. Years later, they're still waiting to be posted and the peace Corps were still collecting money from new trainees. It's about time those behind this sham are arrested and charged for fraud.

The way some people are talking here i don't just understand. As if the want the unemployed youths to still remain unemployed and if the beg you for money you won't give, but rather tell them to go look for jobs. Now that the federal government has smile in their direction, you people are not happy.
Was there not Nigeria Military before they inaugurated Nigeria police force?
Was there note Road safety before the inaugurated VIO?
Was there not Nigeria customs before the established Nigeria Immigration?
All these organisation were on ground before the established NSDC. So many youths were employed in all these establishment. So what is your stress if Federal wants to reduce unemployment by establishing Nigeria Peace Corps....
If Govt didn't get them something to do and they steal, you guys will be the same to mob, lynch and burn them alive with tyres round their neck, then snap and paste the barbaric killing or jungle justice on social media..

NOTE: Nigeria Peace Corps shall employ their numerous volunteers of many years before considering to do any employment, which is not going to be now, because they have more than enough as they have been training the volunteers for the past 18 years, and the are much in numbers.
For your information, there is nothing like senators etc bringing in their candidate to be employed before the volunteers, because i heard from a realiable source that they have all already enrolled their candidates before the hearing of the third reading. Now their candidates and the remaining volunteers that have not yet gone for the training shall be the last to be trained come January.
So, let me use this medium to congratulate those who took the risk to volunteer for the scheme. Now you are reaping the fruit of your labour. Just like the case of the Civil defence voluteers who reap the fruit of their labours when their bill was passed into law after so many years. Now they are enjoying. So, the Peace corps are now no longer volunteers but officers.
Life is all about risk..... It pays at the long run.:*

Everybody must be employed... We are all Nigerians. Others can not be working while others sit at home, or do business with little profits.
